ALERT! Muslim Head-Chopper Strikes in New York!

In an barbaric and heartless act known as an 'honor killing' in Islamic circles, a Muslim businessman in Buffalo, New York chopped off the head of his wife.

Normally honor killings involve Muslim fathers killing a 'wayward daughter' in order to 'preserve the integrity of the family and Islam.'

But this time, apparently the man considers what he did to his wife was an 'honor killing.'

The head-chopper refused to answer questions concerning the nature of his relationship with his wife. Had he caught her 'going astray?' In the Muslim world that can mean anything from having an affair to engaging in 'inappropriate contact with men,' such as talking to them too much.

For the daughters of Muslims it may mean nothing more than adopting modern dress, speech, and customs.

But in the midst of this sickening act of barbarism, one would think there would be wall-to-wall TV coverage on CNN, MSNBC, and all of the news networks. So far, though, nary a word.

Congress Clowns Approve Bill Nobody Had Read

Although Democrats took to the floor of the House and Senate on Friday denouncing those who planned to vote against the monstrous 1.2 trillion-dollar spending bill masquerading as a stimulus package, it turns out nobody had actually read the bill in its entirety.

What intelligent and well-informed human being would vote in favor of legislation he/she had never even read?

And this is the subject of my Saturday column at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

I encourage you to read the column and spread the word. This has a chance of becoming an important advocacy voice for liberty in the state capital of Columbia, SC.

A Concerned American's Take on Obamanomics

It seems we have some new currency that perfectly depicts the state of things in the former United States of America.

'Obamanomics' will turn this great nation into a second-rate 'Socialist States of America.'

Take a look at this!

Stimulus Bill Barely Squeaks By Senate

In a late-night Senate session, the 1.2 trillion-dollar stimulus package insisted upon by Obama and the Democrats barely squeaked by the Senate with just the 60 votes needed for approval.

Unfortunately, the robust conservative campaign to stop the bill by bombarding the offices of the 3 Republican turncoats--Specter, Snowe, and Collins--was to no avail. All 3 voted in favor of this national outrage.

The good news is that the vast majority of Republicans in Congress held firm against this bill. The package didn't get a single GOP vote in the House and only 3 in the Senate. This is a Democrat-Obama bill from top to bottom, and they will have to pay the piper when it fails.

But the bad news is that the country just allowed its elected representatives to send its heritage, its values, its principles, and its soul down the river. Democrats who sponsored that bill admitted repeatedly on Friday that they had no idea what was in the bill since they had not read it. Yet they took to the floor of Congress to denounce those with some intelligence who prefer to actually read legislation before casting a vote. And they themselves voted en mass to approve a bill they had not read.

How's that for prudence, responsibility, and professionalism?

We obviously have a Congress that is run by clowns, and the chief clown is in the White House.

But the American citizens will be the ones, unfortunately, left holding the bag when the payment comes due on this astronomical spending spree.

And what we do know about this bill is enough to make any thinking person wince.

Senior adults will have their healthcare rationed and withheld if they are deemed too old and sick to justify the cost of treating them. Yes, that's in the bill.

Gun rights are under attack in the bill as veterans will be forced to register with a national registry in order to buy a firearm.

The fraudulent group ACORN got 50 billion dollars to continue their ruse as a 'voter registration organization,' when in actuality they are a partisan Obama promotion gang.

Governors of states that refuse to accept stimulus money in the bill will be punished, such as South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, a fiscal conservative who decries the wasteful spending in the bill.

And this is only a small sampling. Billions more are going toward liberal pet projects that will do nothing but help Democrats get elected in the next election cycle.

I hate to sound pessimistic, my friends, but at this point the future of the country looks dire. It will be a miracle if we survive unless we find a way to oust the traitors in Congress in 2010, if we make it until then.

ALERT! Stimulus Bill Punishes Governors!

An amendment has been added at the last minute to the economic stimulus package being voted on today by Congress. The amendment punishes governors, such as South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, who has stated he will not request or accept any federal stimulus money.

But liberals in Congress have different plans for such governors.

And this is the subject of my latest column--a special news alert--at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

Take a look and tell a friend. This is an unmitigated outrage.

Today's Conservative Examiner Column

Today in my Columbia Conservative Examiner column I examine the proposal of school district consolidation as a means of saving money in hard economic times.

But as you will see in the article, such a notion cannot be proved from the facts. Consolidation actually increases expenditures.

Click here to read my new column for today.

And, if I may, I would ask for your help in spreading the word about this new endeavor. This will help the column get off the ground and gain a readership. And thanks!

Yet Another Surprise in the Stimulus Bill

By now people who keep up with the news are aware that the economic stimulus bill the Democrats haphazardly threw together to be voted on this evening is chock full of pork, unnecessary funding of pet projects, and some major surprises along the way, such as a healthcare provision that will limit care delivered to the elderly.

But there is yet another surprise in the bill regarding healthcare. This monstrous piece of legislation that is supposedly intended solely to 'create jobs' for the American people contains a provision to create a national database where ALL of your medical records will be kept electronically in a centrally-located facility of the federal government.

That's right. Your medical privacy, if there ever really were such a thing, is about to go down the toilet.

This stunning development is detailed here. For your own good, you'd best be reading it.

I still want to know how any of this stuff 'stimulates the economy.' About the only thing I've seen stimulated so far is the outrage of the citizens.

STOP THIS BILL!

This evening at approximately 7 PM, Eastern Standard Time, the Congress of the United States will vote on a compromise 'economic stimulus package' that costs, with interest, 1.2 trillion dollars.

But members of Congress have not even seen the bill and do not know what's in it!

You read that right. Members of Congress do not even know what all is included in the bill due to the fact that various and sundry members drafted parts of the bill without knowing what was included in the rest of the legislation.

As of this hour members of Congress still have not been given a copy of the bill they are supposed to vote on. And the final document will be over 700 pages long.

My friends, this thing is incredible and embarrassing. Apart from the bill itself, which is a tax-payer robbing monstrosity that will do little to help the economy, the manner in which the bill was put together by the Democratic majority is a case study in ineptitude, befuddled thinking, and outright chaos that results from haphazardly throwing something together just because Obama wants it and they want to appear to be 'doing something.'

It is still not too late to defeat this bill. I would recommend bombarding with phone calls and emails the Congressional offices of Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe, and Susan Collins, as well as others who could be persuaded to vote no.

This bill needs to be stopped. Your country may depend on it.

The Leahy Follies

In a truly stunning development (said with tongue firmly planted in cheek), Senator Patrick Leahy, D-VT, has announced the formation of a 'Truth Commission' to investigate possible crimes committed by Bush Administration officials with regard to the war on terror.

Leahy is the very one who said during investigations of the Clinton Administration during the 1990s that such things are a waste of time and money and should therefore not be done.

Apparently, for 'Leaky Leahy' (he earned that nickname when he illegally leaked classified documents) that depends on who is being investigated.

Leahy was willing to give Bill Clinton a pass. He is not willing to do that for George W. Bush. But then, we have come to expect such stark hypocrisy on the part of Democrats once they get in power.

When confronted by a reporter for Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, Leahy said he was only trying to 'find out the truth.'

Sure, Senator. We already know the truth about you.

ALERT! Gregg Withdraws as Obama Nominee

Citing irreconcilable differences with Barack Obama over the economic stimulus bill and the President's intention to control the 2010 Census, Commerce Secretary nominee Judd Gregg, R-NH, withdrew his name from consideration.

Matt Drudge breaks the story.

Commentary on this breaking development, which is clearly an embarrassment to the Obama administration, is found here.

Gregg will thus remain in the U.S. Senate, where the Republicans will now maintain enough members to prevent a filibuster-proof Democratic supermajority--provided the 3 turncoats, Specter, Snowe, and Collins can be cajoled into cooperating.

Governor Sanford Accused of Slander--Examiner Article

This is my very first article at Columbia Conservative Examiner. I encourage all of you to take a look and pass along the information about the column.

And yes, that's me, the Welshman. So now you know.

Here is an excerpt:

With South Carolina's financial problems placing a strain on government services, the state's Employment Security Commission has been hard-pressed to keep up with the demand.

South Carolina's unemployment rate is one of the highest in the nation.

Yet an overriding issue that has plagued the Commission for years is its out-of-control spending and waste, although commissioners would deny that assertion.

Governor Mark Sanford has repeatedly called for independent audits of the Commission and a full financial accountability disclosure. He also threatened to fire the commissioners if they refused to provide the information.

In response to the Governor's reasonable request, the commissioners curiously charged Sanford of slandering them.

Read the rest at the link provided. I will deeply appreciate any support by word-of-mouth you can afford me as I get this column off the ground. And thanks.

Latest Political Buzz from Inside the Beltway

Rumors are flying all over Washington, DC about possible tax problems for none other than Rahm Emanuel, Obama's White House Chief of Staff.

It is also rumored that ABC News correspondent George Stephanopolis, a friend of Emanuel's, is fully aware of the tax problems but refuses to report it.

If the allegations are true, this would be yet another embarrassing episode for the Obama administration that has been riddled, battered, and shamed by a string of Cabinet nominees with serious personal tax issues.

It would also be another example of a media that covers for the mistakes and ethical lapses of Obama and his administration.

Obama Concerned Over Rightwing Gov't in Israel

The Jerusalem Post is reporting that the Obama Administration is concerned about the prospects of 'a rightwing government in Israel,' given the expected outcome of elections that will place Benjamin Netanyahu in control of a majority conservative coalition.

Obama has every reason to be concerned. Now that the political rightwing is coming to power in Israel, that means that the President can't strong-arm and cajole Israel into making ridiculous concessions to those all around it who wish to see it annihilated.

This is by far the best news we've heard in a long time coming out of Israel, given that the U.S. Government is under the control of cowardly appeasers whose place in history is that of danger and war rather than peace and security.

As an important counter-balance to the new U.S. policy of supporting Israel's enemies, it is refreshing to see that Israel will be led by those who will not hesitate to take whatever steps necessary to defend the Jewish state from barbarians who live right at its doorstep.

Vanderboegh: What He Learned from the 20th Century

The following is an excerpt from Mike Vanderboegh's 'What I Have Learned from the 20th Century,' dated 1999. Riveting. Absolutely riveting:

LESSON NO. 1: If a bureaucrat, or a soldier sent by a bureaucrat, comes to knock down your door and take you someplace you do not want to go because of who you are or what you think -- kill him. If you can, kill the politician who sent him. You will likely die anyway, and you will be saving someone else the same fate. For it is a universal truth that the intended victims always far outnumber the tyrant's executioners. Any nation which practices this lesson will quickly run out of executioners and tyrants, or they will run out of it.

LESSON NO. 2: If a bureaucrat, or a soldier sent by a bureaucrat, comes to knock down your door and confiscate your firearms -- kill him. The disarmament of law-abiding citizens is the required precursor to genocide.

LESSON NO. 3: If a bureaucrat tells you that he must know if you have a firearm so he can put your name on a list for the common good, or wants to issue you an identity card so that you be more easily identified -- tell him to go to hell. Registration of people and firearms is the required precursor to the tyranny which permits genocide. Bureaucrats cannot send soldiers to doors that are not on their list.

Read this entire absolute MUST-read here.

These are words to the wise. So read, ponder, meditate, and then act. Be prepared!

ALERT! Financial Crisis Planned, Staged, Deliberate

On Thursday Sept 15, 2008 at roughly 11 AM The Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous draw down of money market accounts in the USA to the tune of $550 Billion dollars in a matter of an hour or two. Money was being removed electronically.

The Treasury tried to help, opened their window and pumped in $150 Billion but quickly realized they could not stem the tide. We were having an electronic run on the banks. So they decided to closed down the accounts.

Had they not closed down the accounts they estimated that by 2 PM that afternoon. Within 3 hours. $5.5 Trillion would have been withdrawn and the entire economy of the United States would have collapsed, and within 24 hours the world economy would have collapsed.

Kanjorski also explains why Paulson spent the bailout money differently than he originally proposed.

These comments were taken from a leaked tape of a closed-door session of Congress in September of 2008 with Fed Chairman Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Paulson, and confirmed by a former Congressman who was present at the meeting.

Thus, somebody, somewhere deliberately unleashed a 550 billion-dollar run on U.S. banks. Who, why, and for what purpose?

With no proof I will make no accusations. But think of the fact that only a small handful of the super-rich of the world would have the ability and the means to set such a financial tsunami in motion.

Does the name GEORGE SOROS ring any bells?

And how better to insure that Republicans got hammered and Democrats got elected than to create a financial crisis right before an election!

By the way, Soros bankrolls Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton both!

At the link provided above is a video of the dislosure of the secret tape that contains all of this information. (H/t to Pamela Geller).

MORE OUTRAGE! THIS TIME, IT'S GUN RIGHTS!

By now it should be very clear to any thinking person who values liberty that Obama, together with a Democrat Congress, is a scourge to the nation. But it only gets worse.

A U.S. Court of Appeals, 2nd Circuit, has ruled that the Second Amendment cannot override gun bans imposed by individual states.

The notion is an outrage by the mere fact that there is no need for any 'Bill of Rights' at all if those rights do not apply to the citizens of the country in all of the individual states.

Thus, if you live in a state that bans all handguns, for example, then you are thoroughly screwed because the right of your state to take away your rights overrides any provision in the U.S. Constitution that protects those rights.

What complete, lawless, subversive, and dangerous imbeciles we have sitting on Court benches in America!

This quotation from Western Rifle Shooters Association says it all:

Once the idea that the Second Amendment is not binding against state and local government becomes the law of the land via the adoption of Maloney by other Circuits and SCOTUS' refusal to look at the issue, "multijurisdictional task forces" will have a green light to bring down the hammer of "gun terrorists".

The fuse is lit.

This farce of a government we have elected is pushing us too far. It therefore lacks the moral authority to govern.

Such a boiling cauldron of outrage is brewing among the citizens in the heartland that it should not be surprising to see a sudden eruption of gargantuan proportions at any moment unless this government backs off its obvious agenda to thwart the liberties of the people.

Patriots Storm Specter's Office in Outrage!

Outraged by what 3 turncoat Republicans did in allowing a horrifying Democrat-sponsored spending bill to pass, a group of brave American patriots stormed the office of GOP Senator Arlen Specter, R-Pennsylvania, in order to protest his support of the bill and demand that he withdraw that support.

Naturally the scumbag had gone into hiding, not wishing to face the ire of the voters.

No problem, Specter. The thing that you, Snowe, and Collins will be facing in the next election will be much, much worse. You will be targeted for defeat by your own Party.

What you have just done to this nation by your cowardly submission to the desires of Marxist-murders is simply unconscionable.

Now, Specter lied in an interview with Fox News concerning his support for a bill that will, in effect, place millions of lives in danger under healthcare rationing.

The ones that die as a result of this hideous, barbaric provision in the bill will have been murdered by their own government. And the politicians who voted for it will have their blood on their hands.

Be sure to watch the video Atlas posted of the scumbag's interview on Fox. Nauseating.

Healthcare Rationing Hidden in Stimulus Bill

What you don't know about the details of the massive trillion dollar stimulus bill the Democratic Congress just passed can kill you...literally. Hidden in that bill is a provision for healthcare rationing.

Bloomberg provides the details of this ominous plan, which none of our illustrious political leaders, including Obama, bothered to tell us.

Further, the healthcare rationing contained in the bill is based upon a 'means testing' process whereby the cost of the care vs. the life-expectancy of the patient in question will determine whether or not medical care is provided.

For example, if you are a female 75 years of age with heart disease, it could be determined that due to the fact that your life expectancy is 81 years of age, thus meaning that you would only have roughly 6 years to benefit, an expensive heart medication that could correct your problem would be denied.

This is because under the Obama-Democrat plan, the government will make those decisions, not your doctor. And since this stimulus bill contains a provision for a 'healthcare czar' to oversee this process, all of the pieces are in place to usurp any control your doctor may have over your care, placing your 'case' under the control of government bureaucrats who will determine your fate based upon costs.

According to a special report at Atlas, many of these provisions are the ideas of Tom Daschle, who was supposed to be Obama's HHS Secretary until tax cheat issues surfaced. Here is some of what Daschle and the Democrats want:

What penalties will deter your doctor from going beyond the electronically delivered protocols when your condition is atypical or you need an experimental treatment? The vagueness is intentional. In his book, Daschle proposed an appointed body with vast powers to make the “tough” decisions elected politicians won’t make.

The stimulus bill does that, and calls it the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research (190-192). The goal, Daschle’s book explained, is to slow the development and use of new medications and technologies because they are driving up costs. He praises Europeans for being more willing to accept “hopeless diagnoses” and “forgo experimental treatments,” and he chastises Americans for expecting too much from the health-care system.

Elderly Hardest Hit

Daschle says health-care reform “will not be pain free.” Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. That means the elderly will bear the brunt.

Medicare now pays for treatments deemed safe and effective. The stimulus bill would change that and apply a cost- effectiveness standard set by the Federal Council (464).

The Federal Council is modeled after a U.K. board discussed in Daschle’s book. This board approves or rejects treatments using a formula that divides the cost of the treatment by the number of years the patient is likely to benefit. Treatments for younger patients are more often approved than treatments for diseases that affect the elderly, such as osteoporosis.

In 2006, a U.K. health board decreed that elderly patients with macular degeneration had to wait until they went blind in one eye before they could get a costly new drug to save the other eye. It took almost three years of public protests before the board reversed its decision.

Are you sufficiently frightened out of your wits yet? You should be.

This is precisely what many of us predicted before the election...that under Barack Obama there would be healthcare rationing for Senior Adults.

Thus, if you are deemed too old and sick to be given care in a cost-effective manner, sorry pal, but you need to go ahead and die. This is precisely the attitude of Obama, Daschle, Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, and anyone else who supports such outright murder.

These purveyors of death have already desensitized the public into believing that infanticide is not murder, and so, what's the problem with getting rid of the 'useless elderly,' huh?

Welcome to your worst nightmare--modern America under liberals. As far as I'm concerned each and every one can go straight to hell.

SCUMBAGS! Stimulus Bill Passes, 61-37

3 turncoat Republicans gave Obama and the Democrats the number they needed to reach the 60 votes necessary to pass the 'economic stimulus bill.'

Had these 3 scumbags--Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe, and Susan Collins--not voted in favor of the bill, the entire thing would have been defeated.

We are so screwed.

The bill now goes back to the House where negotiations will ensue that attempt to reconcile the differences between the House and Senate versions of the bill. We can expect more pork to be added back in.

I hope Obama supporters are prepared for the unmitigated disaster that is coming as a result of this unconscionable confiscation of taxpayers' money.

Second Amendment News Roundup for 2/10/09

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

Matt Drudge reports the explosive revelation that hidden deep in the 'stimulus bill' is a healthcare provision that will in fact impact every single person in the country. This is an outrage, my friends. Read it all!

Michelle Malkin rips apart turncoat Republican Arlen Specter over the trojan horse healthcare provision in the stimulus bill. This is a deal he himself helped to broker, but he claims he didn't know it was there. Buffoonery.

The Bobo Files provides more details on this ominous provision of the bill, including a chart that delineates the spending, and an example of what happens when medical care falls under government control.

Bombshell! Bailouts Risk 9.7 TRILLION in Tax Dollars

In a stunning analysis of the Obama/Democrat-initiated bailout and economic stimulus package, Blomberg News is reporting that the actual figure that taxpayers are risking in the bill is 9.7 TRILLION dollars.

According to Bloomberg, the government has spent and continues to spend trillions through back-door deals, quietly and without the knowledge of the public.

We’ve seen money go out the back door of this government unlike any time in the history of our country,” Senator Byron Dorgan, a North Dakota Democrat, said on the Senate floor Feb. 3. “Nobody knows what went out of the Federal Reserve Board, to whom and for what purpose. How much from the FDIC? How much from TARP? When? Why?

It is absolutely imperative that all taxpayers and concerned citizens read the full report at the link provided above. We are being screwed, duped, and sold down the river not only for someone's political gain but for undisclosed purposes that defy reason.

When government is spending trillions of our tax dollars without even our elected representatives in Congress knowing where it's going, you can rest assured something terribly sinister is afoot.

And this is precisely why we MUST STOP this trillion dollar stimulus package from being passed by Congress. Obama says he will use whatever means necessary to pass it. WE must use whatever means necessary to STOP it!

Netanyahu Warns Obama on Talks with Hamas

Israeli candidate for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned Barack Obama that Israel will not be pushed into making concessions to her enemies.

Netanyahu is in the lead in a very close race for Israeli Prime Minister.

During Netanyahu's last term in office during the 1990s, he was forced to make a similar warning to former President Bill Clinton.

Obama has already distinguished himself as being even more pro-Palestinian than Bill Clinton. His policy changes in the Middle East include opening direct talks with Iran, which has stated its goal is to annihilate Israel, and to call the Palestinian leader immediately upon being elected to tell him that the goals of Palestinians are now the goals of the United States.

These terribly wrong-headed and dangerous policy initiatives will hamper Obama's ability to work amicably with Benjamin Netanyahu, who refreshingly takes a realistic approach to Israel's security.

He Seemed Angry

With his first Presidential news conference under his belt, we now turn our attention to rating Obama's performance.

He seemed angry.

My sense is that Obama is seething with rage just under the surface and that soon he will explode into a tirade. His answers to reporters' questions were terse, humorless, and a bit coarse. He took no follow-up questions.

It is also obvious that when he is not reading from the teleprompter, Obama is hesitant, often groping for words, and prone to muttering plenty of 'uhs.'

The performance confirms my earlier impression that his intelligence is overstated and terribly overrated and that the job is probably over his head.

He Lied Right Out of the Starting Gate

In Barack Obama's very first prime-time news conference as President, he lied right out of the starting gate.

Continuing with the false mantra that 'we face the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression,' Obama attempted once again to scare the American public, and Congress, into accepting without question his trillion-dollar stimulus package.

I remember the Presidency of Jimmy Carter very well. That was 1976-1981. The financial fiasco of those years led to a landslide victory over Carter by Ronald Reagan.

As one of the ones who suffered personally through the Carter years, I can tell you with the authority of one who has been there that what we are now experiencing is clearly NOT the worst since the Great Depression. I remember long gasoline lines due to shortages. I remember gasoline prices rising from roughly .44 cents per gallon to over $1.00 per gallon. I remember inflation running at 13%, as compared to a meager 5-6% today. I remember interest rates at 24% as compared to 4-5% today. And, I remember unemployment rising to 11% as compared to 7-8% today.

So, don't tell me that what we are presently experiencing is 'the worst since the Great Depression.' If you say that, I immediately know you are a liar of the worst sort, which is what our illustrious 'President' truly is.

Following Obama's barefaced lies right out of the starting gate in his news conference, I tuned him out for the rest of the way except to note his demeanor and performance. Personally I am not interested in listening to the words of a known and proven liar.

Second Amendment News Roundup for 2/9/09

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

David Codrea gets us started off this Monday with more problems brewing at the southern border. I have never attempted to hide my point of view about this. Suspend all immigration until we can get our house in order with immigration and naturalization, which is corrupt and raging out of control. We will lose the country if we don't stop it. A two-year moratorium would help tremendously.

Codrea's Gun Rights Examiner column is entitled, 'Reasonable Limits.' Take a look!

Armed and Safe has some news from the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. They want disarmament.

Kurt Hofmann's St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner column is 'Denying Rights Without Due Process.' Vital reading!

Mike McCarville reports that conservative GOP congresswoman Mary Falin has confirmed her interest in the Oklahoma Governor's race.

Western Rifle Shooters Association updates us on the shenanigans of the JBTs to demonize rifles.

Sispy Street Irregulars has more today on a story we reported last week, that Obama has seized control of the U.S. Census, meaning, of course, that he now has the power to skew the numbers to favor Democrats.

Gateway Pundit shows us that the Constitution plainly states the Census shall be under the Secretary of Commerce. Thus, in violating the Constitution of the United States, Barack Obama has committed an impeachable offense.

Kharma Futures issues an important legislative alert on House bill H.R. 45--the bill that would mandate federal licensing and registration of all firearms.

John Jacob H provides a list of helpful links to websites that blow the whistle on bad cops.

21 Guns, Salute posts 'Contentment vs. Complacency' on the very simple desire to be left alone from gub'ment interference.

JR points to some very appropriate words for those statists who wish to tell us citizens how to spend our money.

Pax Parabellum has the MUST-read of the day entitled, 'We Are So Screwed.'

Nicki hits the nail on the head in 'For Those of You who Still have Doubts that Democrats are a bunch of Marxist F*ckbags.'

Michelle Malkin reports breaking news that Oil Can Harry Reid, Democrat Senate Majority Leader, has blocked an amendment to the stimulus bill that would require citizenship verification for recipients of the economic package. Is there any doubt in your mind now that billions of our tax dollars are going to be given to illegal aliens??!!! WE MUST STOP THIS BILL!!! CALL YOUR SENATORS AGAIN!!!

Dr. John Lott has the quote of the day by Andrew Breitbart on holding Obama accountable.

Days of our Trailers points to some PSH concerning guns in restaurants.

Sebastian says that the time is NOW to begin backing challengers to incumbents for the 2010 elections.

Robb Allen posts something that you absolutely MUST see, in case you missed it on Friday. It's called 'President Dumbo.' And I agree. This guy is set to explode eventually and blow his stack on national TV, showing citizens a side they never saw of the 'messiah.'

Now I am convinced beyond all doubt that there are icicles forming in Hell. Say Uncle reports that the ACLU is going to defend the school teacher who was suspended because of a picture of her holding a gun.

Breda got insulted on her own blog. But no worries. She took care of him. She also tells us why she won't take liberals to the firing range. Good thinking!

Roberta X points to some 'intelligent thought' among the esteemed geniuses of the Left.

Alphecca says there is perfect way to foil the plans of the Obamanation--make your own guns.

Armed Citizen has a good post on the welfare mentality. Take a look!

Blogonomicon provides good reading on 'guilty until proven innocent.'

Dustin's Gun Blog has a great video from Glenn Beck on change and socialism.

Murdoc comments on Obama's broken promises. Perhaps we should be grateful. But his supporters sure have been duped.

NEWSWEEK OUTS ITSELF AS SOCIALIST RAG

Newsweek Magazine has confirmed what many of us have been saying for years (and harshly condemned for doing so, I might add) that the publication is nothing more than a Socialist rag.

According to NewsBusters the magazine blasts Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck for warning the public about Barack Obama's Socialist agenda and celebrates the notion that America 'is a socialist country like France.'

Here is an excerpt:

Newsweek's Jon Meacham and Evan Thomas are tired of all this talk of socialism. We need to stop talking about yesterday's news, they say, and embrace the great new fact that America is already a socialist country. They chortle that America is just like France. Meacham and Thomas chide Sean Hannity for using socialism as a dirty word because it "seems strangely beside the point." The pair is enthusiastic about our new American socialist society!

We are a European country and we like it, claim the Newsweek duo. Unfortunately, they seem to misunderstand so very much about what they speak.

The rest of the story can be found at the link provided above.

At least we now know what the mainstream media actually thinks about Obama and the plan to turn America into a Socialist nation. Half of the battle is knowing how the enemy thinks, and when they admit it up front, we can then stop the debate about whether or not the news media is actively pursuing a political agenda and move on to actually fighting them.

And believe me, the fight has just begun...

"Who and What is in the White House?"

One of the mothers who lost her son on the COLE gave an interview on FOX. (hat tip Indie in the comments)

She declined the White House Invitation to meet with Obama. (She also, voted for him and says in the interview that she made a mistake in doing so). You can see the anguish on her face...the tears in her eyes. Obama should be ashamed for what he's making her go through.

Read it all here, along with Neil Cavuto's video interview with the woman on Fox.

So, who or what is in the White House? We have not yet seen the true nature of the monstrosity we have just elected in our drunken stupor. But one thing we do know for sure, the man in the White House is the most dangerous man in the nation.

Obama/Dems Put 25,000 U.S. Companies at Risk

Barack Obama has signed Democrat-proposed legislation, aimed at appeasing labor unions, that will place 25,000 U.S. construction companies at risk.

This outrage was done at the bidding of labor union bosses who contributed mega-bucks to the Obama campaign.

The legislation prohibits government contracts from being awarded to companies that are not 'unionized.' And thus, Barack Obama and the Democrats are discriminating against multi-thousands of American construction workers that do not belong to labor unions.

And the taxpayers once again get screwed.

If government contracts are awarded only to unionized companies that are significantly more expensive due to their union contracts than non-union companies, this means the taxpayers are going to be paying out the wazoo just because of a vendetta Obama has against non-union workers.

Thus, the idiot-in-chief strikes again. And let's not forget the idiots who support him both in Congress and in the electorate.

Obama Approval Ratings Plummet

The worshipful awe of the new messiah-in-chief is apparently beginning to wane. The teflon coating of His Greatness is beginning to wear off.

Barack Obama's approval numbers are falling.

In fact, at present Obama garners roughly the same approval rating as that of George W. Bush at this point in his first term.

But look a bit more deeply and you will find some numbers that are a bit shocking--numbers that are not being reported in the mainstream media.

Scott Rasmussen's Daily Tracking Poll of how the country rates Obama as President shows that only 37% of Americans strongly approve of Obama's performance, while 23% strongly disapprove.

The approval rating most often cited last week in the mainstream media, 60%, is entirely misleading. According to Rasmussen, Obama's approval rating is 60%, but only when you include those Americans who only somewhat approve of the President's performance in office.

In one week alone, Obama's approval among Democrats slipped 12 percentage points. Among Republicans, his approval slipped from 12% to 9%, and among Independents the numbers dropped a whopping 17 percentage points.

Thus, a closer analysis of the numbers reveal a real problem brewing for Obama among the electorate. His 'honeymoon' is going to be very shortlived.

'Compromise' Economic Bill? What Compromise!?

In what is being referred to by Democrats, the Obama White House, and 3 liberal Republicans as a 'compromise economic stimulus bill,' the monstrosity still costs nearly a trillion dollars.

The original proposal would have cost 1.3 trillion. The new bill hammered out by Democrats and 3 turncoat liberal Republicans is 'only' 3 quarters of a trillion.

Wow. We sure did put our heads together to save some bucks, didn't we!

To paraphrases former GOP Senator Everette Dirkson back in the 60s as he decried the runaway spending of Democrats, 'A trillion here, a trillion there, and pretty soon you're talking about real money.'

Listen, you moronic dimwits in Congress. You don't help the economy and the taxpayers by shaving off a few bucks from a massive spending bill that remains massive even after you get through making a few cosmetic cuts.

This 'stimulus package' is still nothing more than a socialist program initiated by Socialists to make America more socialistic. And let's not forget the massive amount of pork spending in the bill that will go to pet projects of liberals, the goal of which is to get them re-elected in 2010 and 2012.

I would flip the entire lot the bird, but I'm afraid I might get jailed and charged with a felony in this post-liberty era we refer to as Commie-America.

Read the entire sickening story here. (H/t to Matt Drudge).

Commie America: Flip the Bird, Go to Jail!

Can you believe this? A Portsmouth man was actually charged with a felony for flipping the bird!

You read that right. He flipped someone the bird and was charged with a felony for it. Apparently this is the new Commie America where freedom of expression is a no-no unless somebody in 'authority' approves of it.

A Richards Avenue resident is being held on cash bail for a felony charge alleging he displayed his middle finger to someone who had a protection order against him.

Carlos Enriquez, 42, of 177 Richards Ave., is scheduled to be arraigned Monday on a felony charge of violating a protective order and a class A misdemeanor count of stalking. Both charges allege that on Jan. 24 Enriquez held up his middle finger to the victim while both were dining separately at the Friendly Toast, at 121 Congress St.

True, the man had a restraining order against him, but good grief! This is certainly over the top in anyone's estimation.
