Obama Concerned Over Rightwing Gov't in Israel

The Jerusalem Post is reporting that the Obama Administration is concerned about the prospects of 'a rightwing government in Israel,' given the expected outcome of elections that will place Benjamin Netanyahu in control of a majority conservative coalition.

Obama has every reason to be concerned. Now that the political rightwing is coming to power in Israel, that means that the President can't strong-arm and cajole Israel into making ridiculous concessions to those all around it who wish to see it annihilated.

This is by far the best news we've heard in a long time coming out of Israel, given that the U.S. Government is under the control of cowardly appeasers whose place in history is that of danger and war rather than peace and security.

As an important counter-balance to the new U.S. policy of supporting Israel's enemies, it is refreshing to see that Israel will be led by those who will not hesitate to take whatever steps necessary to defend the Jewish state from barbarians who live right at its doorstep.

I have no problem envisioning a scenario where Obama would find himself in mortal danger from Mossad should his betrayal be sufficiently harmful to Israel.

The Obama's of the world are only playacting at being courageous. When they face real danger because there are people not under their control, they tend to "reevaluate".

They are still without honor and will do what they can to betray others, just so long as they can do it quietly with "plausible deniability". Some other people are not fooled by chidish games of plausible deniability and go ahead and take actions to limit the heartbeat of those harming them. All the while displaying plausible deniability.

I do not foresee Israel allowing another betrayal going unanswered. It is good to remember that Netanyahu is a warrior who has proven his mettle in dealing with enemies. And he lost a son at Entebbe, so unlike some of our risk averse politicians he understands the price. He has also willingly paid it, though regretfully. I cannot see him being gulled by lesser men.

Good insight, SA. It will be interesting to watch the dynamic of the Obama-Palestinian axis and the new Israeli conservative coalition led by Netanyahu.

I'm just glad to see Israel now has someone in power who will thumb their nose at Obama!

It's a sad day when the only governmental news we can smile at is from another country

Very true, Tracy. Nothing to smile about in this country these days...
