With his first Presidential news conference under his belt, we now turn our attention to rating Obama's performance.
He seemed angry.
My sense is that Obama is seething with rage just under the surface and that soon he will explode into a tirade. His answers to reporters' questions were terse, humorless, and a bit coarse. He took no follow-up questions.
It is also obvious that when he is not reading from the teleprompter, Obama is hesitant, often groping for words, and prone to muttering plenty of 'uhs.'
The performance confirms my earlier impression that his intelligence is overstated and terribly overrated and that the job is probably over his head.

I disagree somewhat. I often find myself groping for words to accurately convey my thoughts.
However, what I noticed is that he read from a menu of reporters to call upon. That suggests to me the press conference was "salted" with friendly reporters who asked questions provided by the administration for which Obama "studied" his responses.
If you get another chance, watch it again. You will see him look down at his list, before he calls on the next reporter by name. How many times did he say "Joe Doakes, where are you Joe?" Obviously he wasn't taking questions from people trying to gain his attention.
This was not a press conference, it was a dog and pony show.
Either way, it's clear this job is above his pay grade. Hesitance is not a trait we desire in a so-called leader. And if it's so that he only called on friendly reporters, and so had the chance to prepare his answers, then his stuttering, tense responses are even less forgiveable.
