HAS OBAMA JUST COMMITTED TREASON?

At the very least Obama has been derelict in his sworn duty to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

FACT ONE: In a brazen and unprecedented move, Obama seized control of the U.S. Census, placing it under the White House rather than the Department of Commerce.

FACT TWO: When the first Census was taken after the Revolutionary War, Thomas Jefferson specified that the process should be kept out of partisan hands.

FACT THREE: In spite of the fact that the U.S. Census Bureau is automatically funded, Obama included an extra billion dollars for the census in the 'economic stimulus package.'

FACT FOUR: With Obama's connection to the fraudulent 'voter registration' group ACORN and his new-found power over the census, he can now totally skew the process, engaging in gerrymandering and gaming the system, in order to position Democrats to be elected for generations to come.

Even the seal of the U.S. Census Bureau places the process under the Department of Commerce in order to keep the process out of politically-influenced hands.

The million-dollar-question is, why would Obama suddenly want the census under the control of the White House for the very first time in American history? Why is it suddenly so important for someone at the White House (Rahm Emanuel specifically) to have direct oversight of the process?

If it takes you too long to answer these questions, then you are oblivious to the obvious.

Read this entire in-depth report on the Obama shenanigans on the census here. And then scream bloody murder. This is Chicago-styled political thuggery at its worst.

And, the President may be in fact guilty of treason if this decision is allowed.

Another Reason Obama is Dangerous--UNIONS

Unions are responsible for much of the plight of American manufacturing, including automakers, in the nation today. At one time they served a healthy purpose. That day is no more.

But we now have a President that is as pro-Union as any U.S. President in history. The Unions heavily supported Barack Obama financially. Now they want payback, and he is certainly giving it to them.

But the new administration’s commitment to labor goes much deeper than just rhetoric or staffing decisions that have been praised by such organizations as the Communist Party USA and the Democratic Socialists of America.

In fact, much more dangerous to our nation’s history of free markets and individual liberty are the policies Obama’s pro-union forces are pushing.

In less than three weeks, Obama has already signed three pro-union executive orders, with another two on the way designed to steer money from his massive public sector bailout toward union firms.

And then there is labor’s top priority – the so-called “Employee Free Choice Act,” which among other provisions would strip away workers’ rights to a secret ballot in determining whether or not they wish to be represented by a union.

Read this entire explosive report at Americans for Limited Government.

Senate Deal Reached

3 turncoat Republicans have agreed to join with taxpayer-screwing Democrats in a compromise 'economic stimulus package.' The 3 liberal Republicans are Arlen Specter, Susan Collins, and Olympia Snowe.

Voinovich walked out on the deal at the last minute.

With the support of the 3 turncoat Republicans, Oil Can Harry Reid has the 60 votes needed to pass the bill.

All Republicans except the 3 turncoats oppose the massive bill...hardly the 'bipartisan support' that Barack Obama had been seeking. This bill, if passed, will be the Democrats' baby, just as was the bill in the House.

Just remember who it was in Congress who voted in favor of raping the taxpayer in order to spend billions on pet projects that have little to do with stimulating the economy. DEMOCRATS control everything in Washington now. They will have to withstand the brunt of the voters' ire when it all comes crashing down.

Second Amendment News Roundup for 2/6/09

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

Gateway Pundit reports that in light of the failure last night of Democrats in the Senate to pass the dreadful stimulus bill they want, Oil Can Harry Reid is going to attempt to ram the thing through today. Time to contact your Senators again!

Michelle Malkin alerts us to yet another Obama Cabinet nominee whose husband failed to pay back taxes for 16 years. More government by tax cheats, thugs, and incompetents.

Dr. John Lott reports that there has been more movement in Illinois to pass a concealed carry bill.

Dr. Walter Williams, our favorite intellectual, writes on the national ponzi scheme of the federal government! Read it all.

The Rustmeister shows us that in some places the attempt to engage in 'reasoned discourse' will get you deleted.

Walls of the City provides some recognition to 'the best of the web.' I am totally objective in my assessment, and it has nothing to do with the fact he mentioned me. I swear. I really do. Yep, yep, yep.

Days of our Trailers points to some 'horsesh*t.' As an old baseball man, horsesh*t is one of my favorite words. In baseball you don't say 'bullshhhhttt.' In baseball it's horsesh*t. Anyway, I digress. Read the post.

Texas Fred issues a few choice words for Obama over the new policies toward terrorists, one of whom has gotten off scott free.

The Smallest Minority points out a big part of America's problem--the 'gimme' mentality, even if your pilot and airline landed you safely in a river during a dire emergency.

Mike Vanderboegh says that 'anarchy is breaking out all over Sipsy Street.' Good reading!

Holy freakin' mackerel!! Say Uncle has a story that makes my blood boil. So now it appears that if the PO-lice merely suspect you may have a gun in the house, they think they can invade your home without knocking. Folks, we are quickly going to hell in a handbasket.

David Codrea's new article at Gun Rights Examiner talks about 'the new blacklist.' If you're a public school teacher and someone happens to see a picture of you with a gun, you're toast. This is definitely a MUST-read. And let's remember to keep David in our thoughts and prayers as he recovers from surgery. He's not feeling good today.

Tam has an excellent post today on gun maintenance.

Sebastian makes an excellent point concerning the dire health problems of Supreme Court justice Ginsberg, the future of the Court, and gun rights.

Breda provides a link that shows the citizens aren't too happy about 'hope and change' after all.

Blogonomicon points out some 'unmitigated lies' concerning Mexico and guns. Read it!

JR has more on the subject. This is getting to be a major problem that MUST be addressed!

Armed and Safe informs us of 'the new Illinois insanity,' and his name is Ken Dunkin.

Kurt has Part 3 of his series on gun control in the St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner.

Brigid at Home on the Range always provides excellent reading, and this one is no exception. It's entitled, 'Grounds of Play.'

Well, not surprisingly the Governor of New Jersey wants more gun control. Alphecca has the story.

Maddened Fowl has the quote of the day, and I, for one, totally agree.

Dustin's Gun Blog posts an important video clip from Lou Dobbs on guns, Obama, and Eric Holder. Take a look!

Ride Fast and Shoot Straight has an eye-opener on 'stimulus insanity.'

Conservative Libertarian Outpost provides essential reading entitled, 'Never Let a Serious Crisis Go to Waste.'

And now, for your reading pleasure and in order to keep your funnybone tickled, An Ol' Broad's Ramblings provides the Friday edition of 'Obamarama.'

A Gun In My Hand

My last article on guns focused on concealed carry entitled 'A Gun in My Pocket.' Now I wish to discuss the general subject of having a gun in my hand, that is, developing the ability to feel comfortable handling a firearm while at the same time having a healthy respect for your weapon.

In many ways I was very fortunate to be raised in a family of gun owners. I first learned about guns from my grandfather, who never reached a stage in life where he felt practice shooting was unnecessary.

My family was originally from Wales in the U.K. The Welsh people historically are known for being good, decent, unassuming, and hard-working people. The mines in Wales eventually gave way to the cotton mills in the Southern part of the United States.

Hard work was never a problem for my grandfather, and thus, the life of a mill-worker was never considered beneath his dignity or too difficult for him to manage. Being a Welshman, his serious and even grim demeanor meant that he was determined to accomplish any task set before him. And that he did, including teaching a young boy about firearms.

The rural areas of the Carolinas were perfect for target practice. One could practically set up a makeshift shooting range anywhere once they traveled about 10-15 minutes out of town.

I watched my grandfather shoot his pistol in a variety of settings. He believed the variation was essential to becoming adept at shooting in a myriad of situations.

And then it was my turn to hold the pistol, to feel it in my hand, to become comfortable with it while at the same time showing the firearm the ultimate respect. Then it was time to begin pulling the trigger with an unloaded gun in order to get the feel of the trigger mechanism and learn how to pull the trigger with the proper positioning of the finger.

From there it was on to shooting the loaded gun.

Needless to say, from that time forward I was hooked.

Long after my grandfather had passed on, I continued to practice shoot with one of my best buds who was also into guns. As my grandfather had taught me, we went shooting in a variety of settings--at farms, open fields, wooded areas, and the local police club. We practiced with shotguns, rifles, semi-automatic pistols, and of course, revolvers (my favorite).

Some people through the years have stated that the reason my grandfather continued going to target practice even as a man in his late 70s was because he simply enjoyed it. There is an element of truth to that. He was a sportsman, and I have no doubt that he derived a great deal of pleasure from firing his pistol.

But there is also no doubt that a greater reason was lodged in his mind for going practice shooting. He felt it was necessary to stay on top of his game. He never wanted to get rusty, not even as a 78 year old man.

To this day I like the feel of a gun in my hand. I enjoy shooting it in protected areas where I know there is almost no chance of a stray bullet hurting someone. But I also want to keep my shooting skills sharp.

'Use it or lose it' is a good mantra to bear in mind for a skill or talent.

And these are the invaluable lessons I learned from my grandfather.

Time to Stop Ashley Juggs...Err, Judd!

What do you do when you are a female with no brain but 2 fairly nice 'jugs'? You go to Hollywood, memorize somebody else's words, and star in stupid movies...and probably join some fringe-element environmental or animal rights group.

This is precisely the life-story of Ashley Juggs...err, I mean, Judd.

Judd stated on Thursday that 'It's time to stop Sarah Palin.'

It seems that Ms. Judd had her bra in a knot and panties in a wad over some practices in Alaska that result in some wild animals being killed. And she is part of a fringe-element animals rights group in Washington that has some pretty kooky ideas.

Sarah Palin, it seems, has become their target.

So Judd goes out and blasts Governor Palin--because, well, she is a conservative, a hunter, a gun rights activist, and basically an all-around normal human being.

Which is more than we can say for the kooky Juggs....

The Commie Watch

After finally breaking free of the Politburo's Communist News Network (CNN), it's good to see radio and television commentator Glenn Beck over at Fox News Channel.

Beck has never shied away from venturing into controversial, and even dangerous, territory if he feels that the truth is at stake.

His nightly program on Fox News is certainly no exception.

As a regular feature of the show, Beck presents what he calls 'The Comrade Watch,' which documents and reports the push by the Obama administration toward socialism-Communism.

Naturally this feature is highly controversial but one which must be considered by any thinking person who cares about the future of America as a free society.

Given that the mainstream media is in such spellbound awe of Barack Obama, we certainly cannot count on them to report the truth. And thus, little by little decisions are being made under the radar screen that slowly but surely undermine the free market-free speech underpinnings of our nation.

Beck is determined to keep the public informed of these atrocious, even treasonous, acts each and every evening. I highly recommend watching the program. You can take a look at Beck's Fox News website here, where you can also watch the video clips of the Comrade Watch segments.

Breaking Update on Muzzling Conservative Radio

BILL PRESS: Yeah, I mean, look: They have a right to say that. They’ve got a right to express that. But, they should not be the only voices heard. So, is it time to bring back the Fairness Doctrine?

SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI): I think it’s absolutely time to pass a standard. Now, whether it’s called the Fairness Standard, whether it’s called something else — I absolutely think it’s time to be bringing accountability to the airwaves. I mean, our new president has talked rightly about accountability and transparency. You know, that we all have to step up and be responsible. And, I think in this case, there needs to be some accountability and standards put in place.

BILL PRESS: Can we count on you to push for some hearings in the United States Senate this year, to bring these owners in and hold them accountable?

SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI): I have already had some discussions with colleagues and, you know, I feel like that’s gonna happen. Yep.

Be sure to read the entire infuriating interview with Sen. Stabenow here, and note the blatant conflict-of-interest mentioned at the end of the piece.

For the complete scoop, Newsbusters blows the whistle on Senator Stabenow and her conflict of interest in pushing for the muzzling of conservative talk radio.

Senate Pulls an All-Nighter on Stimulus Bill (UPDATE)

Stating that the U.S. Senate is prepared to work all night tonight (and this morning), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (Oil Can Harry) claimed that he is determined to work out a compromise stimulus bill that can gain enough votes to pass.

But Oil Can Harry seems a bit confused.

First he said he had the 60 votes necessary to pass the measure. Then, he later admitted that he lacked the 60 votes.

Already, several turncoat Republicans are expressing their support for the Obama-Democrat sponsored bill that will cost taxpayers an estimated 1.3 trillion dollars. Not surprisingly, those turncoats are Collins, Snowe, Voinovich, and Specter.

Even RINOS such as John McCain and Lindsey Graham are against the measure.

Meanwhile the American public has turned overwhelmingly against the measure on news of the amount of pork contained in the bill--pork spending that supports dozens of ultra-liberal groups the Democrats want to fund.

Late-breaking update!! According to Michelle Malkin, Oil Can Harry, frustrated that he couldn't get enough votes to pass the bill, called it quits for the night at 9 PM. So much for the 'all-nighter.'

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

Mike McCarville has a post today, the title of which speaks for itself--'Buy More Guns, Buy More Ammo!'

Tam supplies us with the quote of the day, and it's a good one!

Roberta X reports that the Associated Press is suing over copyright infringement on HOPE. More PSH from the old media concerning their loss of power and influence, perhaps?

Texas Fred comments on San Fran Nan, loony bird of the House of Representatives and 4th in line for the Presidency.

Joe Huffman, using language so plain a child can understand it, explains the insanity of the federal government's economic stimulus plan. This tells it like it is.

Walls of the City alerts us to the fact that the 'Million Gun Owners March' has a new website. Take a look.

The Bobo Files posts a blog-reader's dream--a ton of links to blogs that keep us informed on the latest in the world of politics.

Notoriously Conservative reports that the U.N. seems to be totally oblivious to the world-wide recession. They're spending money like crazy. Tell me why we are still supporting these clowns!

Western Rifle Shooters Association post an email alert from the GOA on who, exactly, sold us out on the Holder confirmation.

Sipsy Street Irregulars points to A Crisis of Political Economy, which spells out in no uncertain terms how we arrived at this point in our nation's financial sector.

Kurt Hofmann has Part II of his piece at St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner on why the idea of gun control in America is imaginary.

Alphecca reports excellent news from the state of Virginia and the latest attempt at gun control.

Kharma Futures has the MUST-read of the day on the bill that passed Congress on 'helping the children' (S-Chip).

Michelle Malkin says that Obama's latest fear-mongering on the economy is yet another broken campaign promise to reject the 'politics of fear.'

The American Thinker provides a good, in-depth analysis of the various reasons Obama is quickly becoming a disaster. A VERY good read!

Sebastian reports that the Brady Campaign thinks Delaware, of all places, needs more gun control.

Say Uncle has something today that you've just gotta see for comic relief. You know about 'The Bastard' being bitten by a groundhog? (True story). Well, Uncle takes it from there. Read it!

MsUnderestimated posts the transcripts and video of Michael Steele's appearance on FOX to discuss the future of the GOP.

OBAMA TO REDUCE U.S. NUKES BY 80%

People wonder why I refer to Barack Obama as the most dangerous man in America, if not the whole world. Here is one more reason.

Obama plans to reduce our nation's nuclear defensive capability by a whopping 80%!

Further, Obama plans to renege on a promise made to Europe during the campaign to proceed with deploying a nuclear defensive shield in the region.

Obviously, the man has no inkling of what it means to be a super-power or what it means for the U.S. to be the leader of the free world.

With these kinds of reductions in our nuclear capability, practically any nutcase with nukes could hold large areas of the world hostage, and the U.S. would be completely powerless to stop it.

In addition, with Iran slated to have a nuclear bomb in the near future, in addition to the renewal of Russian nuclear saber-rattling, the nations of Europe, particularly Eastern Europe, are highly vulnerable to nuclear attack, not to mention Israel.

In many ways this policy initiative on the part of Barack Obama is the most ominous and dangerous change we have witnessed so far. The world is not getting safer. It is getting more dangerous. And Obama's response to the ever-increasing danger is to reduce our defensive capability.

The last President who drastically reduced our defensive arsenal was Jimmy Carter. It was during Carter's disastrous Presidency that the USSR invaded Afghanistan and American hostages were taken by Iran's religious leader.

Thus, Ronald Reagan's top priority after defeating Carter in a landslide was to begin rebuilding our military to the point that the Soviets could not keep up. The result is that they nearly bankrupted themselves attempting to match our ever-increasing arsenal.

All of this resulted in the fall of the Soviet Union and the tearing down of the Berlin Wall.

Obama's Carter-styled Presidency is a very real danger to American security and world stability.

During the Bush Presidency the U.S. may have been hated in some quarters, but we certainly weren't ridiculed or bullied. We can expect both during the Obama administration.

'Tide is Turning Against Obama Economic Plan'

Americans for Limited Government believes that the tide is turning against the Obama-Democrat economic stimulus plan that has been submitted to Congress. Public support for the plan is now down to only 37%, and both Democrats and Republicans in the Senate have expressed deep reservations about voting to approve the 1.3 trillion dollar proposal.

Now is the time to contact your Senators to urge them to vote against the economic stimulus package.

Bill Wilson, the President of Americans for Limited Government, has sent out a letter to the organization's supporters informing them of joining with 18 other conservative leaders in strongly urging the Senate to vote against the Obama-Democrat plan.

That letter is as follows:

“The tide is clearly turning against the
Obama trillion dollar debt stimulus plan.”
—ALG President Bill Wilson.

ALG President Joins Conservative Leaders in Urging Senate to Defeat Trillion Dollar Spending Bill

February 4th, 2009, Fairfax, VA—Americans for Limited Government President Bill Wilson today in a letter joined with 18 free market and limited government leaders in strongly urging members of the Senate to defeat the spending bill that “will total some $1.2 trillion when interest is calculated over the next decade, and represents an unsustainable growth of government.”

The joint letter is critical of provisions in the legislation already passed by the House of Representatives, and leaders believe it will not boost the economy.

“The irresponsible expansion of the budget to bail out state governments from their own budget deficits, expand Medicaid, boost education spending, food stamps and unemployment benefits, build federal buildings, provide more for public housing, construct climate change supercomputers, erect trade barriers overseas, create refundable tax credits, and make special interest payouts will not stimulate sustainable economic growth,” according to the letter.

The letter calls for permanent tax relief for businesses and individuals. The leaders believe that “individuals and businesses only change their spending and investment habits significantly when they expect policy changes to be permanent.”

Specifically, the letter advocates “[p]reventing tax increases on individual income, capital gains and dividends, changing the tax code to allow full-cost, first-year expensing for business equipment rather than the arbitrary IRS depreciation schedule, and lowering the U.S. corporate tax rate, among the highest in the world, would yield much more bang for the buck in ensuring a rapid economic recovery than the current package of massive spending with a sliver of targeted tax cuts.

The letter portends that the U.S. “is running the serious risk that it will default on its financial obligations, as the nation's creditors during the current economic downturn may be unable to continue sustaining the uncontrolled growth of spending, leaving the nation in financial ruin.”

The current national debt is $10.7 trillion. That includes $4.3 trillion owed for Social Security, Medicare, and other commitments, and $6.4 trillion held privately, $3 trillion of which is held overseas. 40 percent of the debt held privately comes due this year.

“The only way for the government to pay [the debt coming due] is to borrow yet more money,” the letter reads.

The organizations represented disagree with the idea that additional spending is not necessary to stimulate economic growth.

As an alternative the free market and limited government organizations call upon the Senate to deliver “a real plan for change, to finally set the nation's fiscal house in order, to provide permanent tax relief to businesses and individuals, to free the American people from the boom-to-bust economic cycle, and to at last retire the national debt.”

Wilson believes that the legislation can be defeated in the Senate.

“The tide is clearly turning against the Obama trillion dollar debt stimulus plan,” said Wilson in a statement.

“It is now up to Senators who do not wish to engage in generational theft to stand up and make their voices heard, and vote 'no' on the 'stimulus,'” Wilson concluded.

We just may well get this thing defeated after all...

Letter from Sarah Palin

From Governor Sarah Palin to all members of her new PAC, SarahPAC.com:

Dear Supporter,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for joining SarahPAC. What a week it has been! Thanks to supporters like you we have had a fabulous start.

I want you to know that I have been truly touched by your notes of support and encouragement and look forward to working with you all in the future to advance our shared ideas and goals. These are just a few of the touching notes I've received from you:

Don from Juneau, AK: "I joined the PAC, and I'm willing to help in any way I can. I firmly believe you are exactly what this country needs, more so now than ever. Go Sarah!"

Cindy from St. Louis, MO: "My husband and I signed up for the PAC this morning. We are thrilled and behind you 100%! We will help any way we can."

Dee from Nashville, TN: "Be courageous! Be strong! Be bold! Don't quit. Thanks for all you've done, there are many of us praying for you daily!"

As a nation, we face serious challenges ahead. Our country is far too dependent on foreign sources of energy. Greed and corruption have broken the public's faith in our economic system.

By speaking out, proposing new policies, and working together, I believe we can ensure that America's best days are ahead of us. And this is what we will accomplish together through SarahPAC.

That is why I hope you will continue to support SarahPAC by encouraging your friends, family, and colleagues to visit our website, www.SarahPAC.com to sign up for updates. With your help, I'll be able to speak out. And you know I will speak for you.

Please stay tuned for more information and updates- I'll be in touch with you soon about more ways to help our PAC.

With an Alaskan heart,

Sarah

P.S. I'm counting on you to spread the word to your friends about SarahPAC. Please tell them to sign up for email updates at www.SarahPAC.com and visit my official Facebook page to share your thoughts and comments. Thank you!

Be sure to visit the website of SarahPAC at www.SarahPAC.com. It is not too early to begin thinking about the 2012 Presidential election. Governor Palin represents perhaps the best hope conservatives have of regaining the White House.

Second Amendment News Roundup for 2/4/09

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

Say Uncle reports on a national database of gunowners that we are not supposed to have. Mexico has suggested we use that non-existent database to track guns flowing into Mexico.

Live from the Upper Texas Gulf Coast provides commentary on this, and suggests there is a simple solution--you know, like, securing the southern border?

Sipsy Street Irregulars says that the Orlando Sentinel has called for the complete disarmament of citizens.

Breda recaps last night's edition of Gun Nuts Radio, along with an audio of the program.

Days of our Trailers has the perfect example of just how clueless the international community, especially the U.N., can be. Take a look.

Sebastian blogs on the importance of taking advantage of letter to the editor opportunities whenever a negative story on guns appears in the media...or to commend them on positive stories, for that matter.

David Codrea reports that 'big brother is watching you' and it is GOOGLE!

In Gun Rights Examiner today, David writes about one of the mayors in 'The Bastard's' Mayors for Gun Confiscation--Sheila Dixon of Baltimore.

Ride Fast and Shoot Straight says there seems to be yet another glitch over at Google Blogger. I've noticed it too.

For those who live in mountain lion territory, Conservative Libertarian Outpost says that many homeowners unwittingly attract them to their property. A very interesting read!

Armed and Safe has big news for gun owners from the Illinois Sheriff's Association.

St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner publishes Kurt Hofmann's article today that maintains that the very idea of controlling guns in America is imaginary. An intriguing read!

2A Musing lends a piece of his mind to the idiotic, hysterical gun grabbers.

Alphecca reports that legislation has been proposed that would require a literacy test for gun owners! And while they're at it, I would propose bringing back literacy tests for voting. If you don't know the difference between tyranny and liberty, and that the former is BAD and the latter is GOOD, then you don't need to be voting, period.

The Rustmeister has more on this stupid literacy test idea.

Free in Idaho notes that Obama has a 'Secretary of Culture.' Why do we need a freakin' secretary of culture!? May as well add 'Secretary of Entertainment,' 'Secretary of Motherhood,' 'Secretary of Mafia Relations.' What? Not the last one?? Well, he's a product of the Chicago political machine, you know...

Nicki observes that apparently TV has become a civil right.

Traction Control provides an interesting read on establishing baseline data for ATF processing of NFA weapons transfers.

Pax Parabellum notes that during the campaign Obama promised 'the most ethical administration EVER!' Looks like the Chairman forgot to put the letters 'Un' in front of the word 'ethical.'

Western Rifle Shooters Association predicts that great social upheaval and unrest is coming, and it revolves around what the government is going to do with retirement and pensions. Read it all.

Walls of the City says that H.R. 645 is enough to give one the heebie-jeebies. For sure! As I have stated before, this action on the part of the federal government is an ominous sign.

Bloviating Zeppelin says that a kink has developed in the Obama teflon.

Dr. John Lott reports that public support for the Obama/Democrat economic stimulus package has dropped to only 37%.

Michelle Malkin points to more lunacy on the part of San Fran Nan, who stated in a news conference that Americans are losing 500 million jobs per month. Looks like Nan is losing about that number of brain cells per month...

Malkin: Obama's Parade of Clowns

So far the choices of Barack Obama for his Administration can be described as a 'parade of clowns.' One by one, the men and women chosen to serve are either severely ethically-challenged or don't have a clue concerning their jobs.

In short, Obama has chosen a group of tax cheats, scandal-laden pond scum, and individuals who are unqualified for the jobs they have been given.

Michelle Malkin takes to task columnist David Brooks over a 'pre-ejaculatory, heavy-breathing paean' to the holy, chosen One prior to his inauguration.

And, contrary to Brooks' fawning description, Malkin observes that the individuals around which Obama has surrounded himself are anything but admirable.

Here is an excerpt to whet your appetite:

How do you like them apples now, Mr. Brooks? The “overeducated Achievatron” president is, by his own admission, a royal screw-up. And the hits keep coming. Stefan Sharkansky gives you the scoop on incompetent-o-crat Ron Sims, who’s up for the No. 2 job at HUD. Labor Secretary nominee Hilda Solis is clueless about the policies and regulations she would oversee. ObamaNoms.com has all the latest on other brewing problems.

The Associated Press, carrying water for their dear leader, tries to convince us that Obama has been “humbled.” Bah.

Actions speak louder than words.

Malkin continues to lay it all out in black and white, calling the roll of the embarrassing officials Obama has chosen to serve who obviously do not exactly inspire reaching for greatness.

Netanyahu: 'I Will Topple Hamas If Elected'

In one of the few expressions of sanity in Middle Eastern politics, Israeli candidate for Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, made a promise to the Jewish nation on Tuesday that a government under his leadership will topple Hamas.

The Jerusalem Post reports that Netanyahu believes that Israel can no longer afford to continue the policy of 'blindness' which he claims has been conducted by the Israeli government for the past 7 years.

According to the Post:

A government under my leadership will overthrow the Hamas rule in Gaza and bring about a cessation of rocket fire," Netanyahu said during a tour of Ashkelon following the first Grad rocket attack since the conclusion of Operation Cast Lead some two weeks ago.

"The policy of blindness followed in the past years has brought us to this situation," Netanyahu continued. "Residents can no longer count on miracles and Kadima policy."

Netanyahu's words take on even greater significance in light of the fact that the Obama administration seems determined to cool relations with Israel as a result of overt moves to establish good relations with terrorist governments in the region.

Unfortunately for Israel, the United States, and the world, the Jewish state may well have to go it alone to defend itself against groups and nations who wish to destroy it.

Judges Rule Rejected Ballots May Be Counted

In a ruling that is sure to help the case of Senator Norm Coleman, R-MN, a three-judge panel ruled on Tuesday that up to 4,800 wrongfully rejected ballots may be introduced into evidence.

Coleman's opponent, extremist Liberal Al Franken, sought to keep the ballots out.

The Coleman campaign, however, maintains that the rejected ballots are evidence that legitimate votes were wrongfully discarded by voting officials in the Minnesota race for the U.S. Senate.

A panel of three judges agreed.

And thus, Coleman could well be on his way toward proving to the court that absentee ballots that are generally thought to favor him were wrongfully rejected, leading to a skewed election result that favored Franken.

The ruling comes as a refreshing surprise to those who are appalled that Franken and the Democrats blatantly attempted to steal an election.

DASCHLE WITHDRAWS

2 in one day. Tom Daschle becomes the 2nd Obama nominee in a day to withdraw their name from consideration for a Cabinet post.

It seems that the ethics-challenged Obama Administration is having difficulty nominating persons of respectable reputation to the government.

At least the 2 who departed today have enough dignity and self-respect to withdraw their names from consideration rather than drag the U.S. Government down with them into the cesspool.

If only Eric Holder and Timothy Geithner had the same dignity and self-respect.

Second Amendment News Roundup for 2/3/09

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

The Most Dangerous Man in America

You know that the nation is in deep trouble when the most dangerous man in America is the President of the United States.

I know this is a brazen statement. But let's consider the facts.

He has made the decision to close Gitmo prison that houses the most dangerous terrorists in the world. This will mean that these barbarians will be brought to the U.S. mainland to be housed in a prison facility near you, right in your own backyard.

He has decided that overseas sponsors of terror need to be 'understood' and 'listened to.' Not only that, but he has decided America needs to apologize to these terrorist regimes for being responsible for poor relations between the U.S. and the nations involved.

We have nothing to apologize to a terrorist for. And such an act only emboldens terrorists, which we saw with the reaction of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad when he said that Obama's statement proves that the U.S. is now 'in a weakened state.'

Ahmadinejad then proceeded to make demands of the U.S. before Iran would be willing to sit down at the negotiating table with the U.S.

Note that last point carefully. In Obama's world it is not the U.S. that makes demands of a terrorist state prior to diplomatic negotiations but it is the terrorist world that makes demands of the U.S.

And Iran's first demand was that the U.S. cease to be an ally of Israel.

You see, this is precisely what you get when an imbecile sits in the White House.

Not only is Obama setting the stage for nuclear war in the Middle East when Israel has to go it alone to fight for her survival in a region of nations that desire that she be wiped off the map, but he is creating a scenario where terrorists will be coming en mass to our own shores.

We can expect a major terrorist attack on American soil at some point before this monstrosity we have elected leaves office.

Add to that Obama's desire (and that of his new Attorney-General) to disarm average American citizens, and we then have a scenario where the entire country from top to bottom is nothing but a sitting duck not only for thugs, thieves, murderers, and rapists, but terrorists who will unleash their suicide bombs on American streets, just as they have been doing in Israel.

Welcome to Obamaland.

Obama's Policy on Iran Blames America

Within his first two weeks of office, Barack Obama has made a series of glaring blunders with regard to U.S. foreign policy. One of those blunders involves a change in U.S. policy toward Iran.

As Middle East expert and world-renown journalist Caroline Glick notes,

The most sympathetic interpretation of Obama's desire to move ahead with diplomatic engagement in spite of the mullocracy's preconditions is that he has simply failed to countenance the significance of Iran's demands. This means that Obama remains convinced that the US is indeed to blame for the supposed crisis of confidence that the Islamic world suffers from in its dealings with America. By this reasoning, it is for the US, not for Teheran, to show its sincerity, because the US, rather than Teheran, is to blame for the dismal state of relations prevailing between the two countries.

Thus, the 'Obama Doctrine' is that America, not the terrorist regime in Iran, is to blame for the dismal state of affairs between the 2 nations.

And therefore, according to Glick, Israel will be forced to change its policy accordingly:

And under these circumstances, Israel's next government - which all opinion polls conclude will be led by Likud leader Binyamin Netanyahu - will have to adopt certain policies.

First, in keeping with his campaign rhetoric, Netanyahu will have to make preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons his most urgent priority upon entering office.

And second, to withstand US pressure to allow the Obama administration time to develop its ties with Teheran, (time that Iran will use to build its first nuclear bomb), Netanyahu will need to form as large and wide a governing coalition as possible. All issues that divide the Israeli electorate between Right and Left must be temporarily set aside.

In the age of Honest Obama, Israel is alone in recognizing the necessity of preventing Iran from acquiring the means to destroy the Jewish state. Consequently, Netanyahu's government will need to proceed with all deliberate speed to take whatever actions are necessary to prevent Israel's destruction.

This is serious, life-and-death stuff about which we speak here. Be sure to read the entirety of Caroline Glick's stunning analysis of the dangers to come here.

Holder Confirmed: Bend Over, Drop 'Em, Grab 'Em

By a vote of 75-21, Eric Holder was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Obama's Attorney-General. Time to bend over, drop 'em, and grab 'em. We now have the single most dangerous, extremist Attorney-General in the history of the U.S.

21 Republicans voted against this hideous choice. Every vote against Holder was cast by GOP Senators.

Here are their names: Barrasso, Brownback, Bunning, Burr, Coburn, Cochran, Cornyn, Crapo, DeMint, Ensign, Enzi, Hutchison, Ihofe, Johanns, McConnell, Risch, Roberts, Shelby, Thune, Vitter, Wicker.

These Senators are to be applauded and congratulated on their courageous stand for principle.

Along with the votes of every single Senate Democrat in favor of the Holder confirmation were the votes of 19 turncoat Republicans: Alexander (R-TN), Bennett (R-UT), Bond (R-MO), Chambliss (R-Ga), Collins (R-ME), Corker (R-TN), Graham (R-SC), Grassley (R-IA), Gregg (R-NH), Hatch (R-UT), Isakson (R-GA), Kyl (R-AZ), Lugar (R-IN), McCain (R-AZ), Murkowski (R-AK), Sessions (R-AL), Snowe (R-ME), Specter (R-PA), Voinovich (R-OH).

Every single one of these numbskulls should be sent back to where they came from in the next election. Do you hear that, LINDSEY GRAHAM!?

So now, thanks to the Democrats and their turncoat Republicans, we have an Attorney-General who pardons terrorists and supports measures to rob citizens of the right to bear arms.

Way to go, 'gentlemen.'

A Gun in My Pocket

In this day and age I would no more think of venturing out of the house without my gun than I would without my drivers license. It simply goes with the territory.

Most people would have absolutely no idea that in my pocket is a firearm that can inflict deadly harm.

I certainly don't look the part. I am professional, well-dressed and groomed, unassuming, and well-mannered. I am just going about my business in a normal fashion...at the supermarket, the bank, the drug store, and even at church.

But if I am threatened with harm to my person, or if my fellow innocent citizens are thusly threatened, I am fully prepared to respond with as much force as necessary to stop the threat, up to and including using deadly force.

My experience is not really unusual in America. People who carry firearms normally do so unnoticed. They are your neighborhood grocer, your business owner, your insurance agent, your waitress, your doctor, or maybe even your minister. They are normal people who go about their business day by day, never making a big deal over the fact that they are prepared to take action in a threatening situation.

We are not itching for a gun fight or a confrontation with a thug. We will probably take evasive action 9 times out of 10 before we even think about using a firearm.

But if forced to do so out of necessity, we are prepared to take out a perpetrator, a thug, a thief, a rapist, a wife-beater, or anyone else who poses a clear, unmistakable danger to us and to those around us.

And, people within government need to be aware that there are millions of us all across the country. That is a word to the wise among those in government who have designs on robbing the citizens of their right to self-defense. You are going to have to kill millions of us before you get our guns.

Are you prepared for that kind of blood running in the streets?

I am aware that there are many good, decent people working in government who agree with us concerning our basic, fundamental rights. But I also happen to know that within the present government there are malevolent forces that would remove those rights in a heartbeat if they had the power.

To those of you who fall in that group, be assured that we among the armed citizenry stand with the Founders of this nation who believed that firearms gave average citizens the ultimate leverage against tyrannical government. If you are intent on targeting our liberties, you will be met with armed resistance.

Frankly, I hope I never have to fire that gun in my pocket at a human being. In all the years I have been a gunowner, I have been blessed in that regard. I hope that I will never be forced to use that weapon against anyone.

But if I am ever forced to use my weapon against another person, there are 2 things of which you can rest assured: I will not start such a fight, but I will most assuredly finish it.

Showdown in the Senate--2 PM Today

At 2 PM this afternoon, the U.S. Senate will begin debate on the massive and unprecedented 1.1. trillion-dollar 'economic stimulus' plan proposed by Obama and the Democrats.

Senate Republicans have stated that they intend to mount fierce opposition to the plan. And for good reason.

As we have shown repeatedly on The Liberty Sphere, the plan is loaded with multi-billions for liberal special interest groups, including Obama's fraudulent group ACORN. This is nothing more than getting set for the 2012 elections under the guise of 'helping American workers.'

Workers are not helped in this plan unless you believe that giving multi-billions to big labor Unions is tantamount to helping average workers put food on the table.

And for good measure, the Obama plan places a check from the federal government (the taxpayers) into the hands of every single illegal alien. Once again, this is more insurance for the Democrats leading up to the 2012 election.

The problem is that NONE of it really helps the economy or creates jobs.

Senate Republicans apparently are seeing the same thing in this bill that their colleagues in the House saw--billions upon billions of pork, running up the national debt, and giving taxpayers' money to special interest groups that will help get Obama and the Democrats elected again in 2012.

It is becoming a distinct possibility that Obama's pork project will pass through Congress without gaining a single Republican vote in either the House or the Senate.

I can think of no better way to make a clear statement to the electorate about the nature of this bill. The Democrats certainly have the votes to pass it without Republican support. Let them. They will then be forced to suffer the consequences of its coming failure.

Hamas Sends More Rockets Into Israel

Even as Barack Obama is telling Palestinian leaders that his Administration's new official policy is that 'we embrace Palestinian goals,' Hamas sent more rockets into southern Israel on Sunday in a renewed breach of the cease-fire.

I suppose this means that Obama supports this move since we now 'embrace the goals Palestinians,' which is not only to establish a 'Palestinian state' on land the Jews have possessed for over 3000 years, but to obliterate the Jewish nation completely.

The big issue is what will be the Israeli response?

Central to the issue is that we are within 2 weeks of Israel's elections. Israeli politicians will almost certainly be forced to act against Hamas to show the electorate that all is being done to protect Israeli citizens.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the front-runner for Prime Minister, has stated that Hamas can expect a 'disproportionate response' if it continues to fire on Israeli citizens.

This in essence has only one dire meaning. If Hamas continues to fire on Israel the Jewish state's response will be swift, massive, and thoroughly devastating.

We can be assured that this time Israel will not make the same mistake it has in the past. Hamas will be totally crushed, and there will be many casualties. This is apparently the only way the nation can insure its own safety.

If Israel does, indeed, launch a massive and deadly avalanche upon Gaza, there will be heavy criticism and condemnation from Obama, the U.N., and many in the European Union.

They should be totally ignored.

No matter what the American President or anyone else says about the matter, Israel is a sovereign nation that is free to do what it must to protect itself from the barbarians who live under its nose in Gaza.

FLIP OBAMA THE BIRD! (Look What He Said Now)

Our illustrious imbecile in chief has once more showed the nation his true colors. He is an idiot--a Leftwing ideologue--and a hateful, vengeful one at that.

Iraq just held a peaceful, democratic election. This would not have been possible had it not been for George W. Bush and the U.S. military, that basically faced-down worldwide criticism in order to depose a barbaric dictator and set up the tools necessary to form a democracy in a dangerous part of the world.

But did our illustrious Bolshevik-in-Chief, 'Comrad Hussein,' thank our military and U.S. policy for this historic breakthrough in human history?

Don't make me laugh so hard that I go into a breathless spasm.

This numbskull isn't going to thank the military for jack-shit. And he certainly isn't going to admit his predecessor did something right.

Instead, the Bolshevik thanked...and get this...the United Nations.

You read that right. He thanked the very body that was so opposed to deposing Saddam that it referred to George W. Bush as the most dangerous man in the world.

Let me tell you something, you boneheaded idiot, had it not been for the United States military and Mr. Bush, Saddam would still be in power in Iraq and there would be NO democratic elections.

So, why are you thanking the U.N., you raving Communist pinko? They had absolutely nothing...zilch...nada...to do with the peaceful, democratic elections Iraq is enjoying today.

But you can bet your last Commie in Obama's administration, my friends, that this is precisely the manner in which liberals will attempt to rewrite history.

I am thus starting an online movement called, 'Flip Obama the Bird.' He deserves it.

Czech President Takes On Goofy Algore

While most of the EU and American liberals such as Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John McCain, and others seem to go goo-goo-gaaa-gaaa over Algore's science fiction on global warming, at least the Czech President is showing some chutzpah.

Czech President Vaclav Klaus, who is now President of the EU in its bi-annual rotation, blasted Gore for deliberately ignoring science that challenges his theory and suggested that the entire 'global warming' scare-tactic is designed to do nothing but serve as an excuse for more government control over people's lives and limit their choices.

This is precisely what Obama is set to do in the United States--force automakers to adhere to tough emissions and mpg standards, meaning that Americans will be forced into smaller, cramped vehicles that cost much more.

Instead of letting the market determine the types of vehicles that are manufactured, based upon consumer preferences, Obama would mandate what is manufactured and force consumers into vehicles that they may not buy if left to their own preferences.

All of this, of course, will be done in the name of 'saving the planet,' when the planet is quite capable of sustaining itself no matter what we do or don't do.

And, by the way, if the present trend continues, 2009 is on course to be the coldest in recorded history.

Read the full story of the Czech President's remarks concerning Algore here.

What Obama Isn't Telling You

Even as he was pushing a trillion-dollar spending package that is supposed to 'stimulate' the economy, Barack Obama stated in his radio address that it will take years, not months, for the nation's economy to stabilize.

At least he admitted what economists have been saying all along--the nation will pull out of the recession in 2010 or so, whether the government does anything or not.

Thus, the question becomes, why do we need to go another trillion dollars in debt for something that isn't going to help matters at all in the short term?

There is a very good reason. Obama and the Democrats are using this 'crisis' to justify a spending package for their favorite pet projects, including multi-billions to the fraudulent group ACORN, which will then be set financially to get Obama re-elected in 2012.

This is what Obama isn't telling you about the stimulus package.

Further, since the nation is already over a trillion dollars in debt, adding another trillion to the debt will only make matters twice as bad.

And that isn't even the half of it. Most economists agree that the estimated 1.1 trillion dollars for the stimulus package will only be followed by more requests for tax dollars from Washington. The banking industry has already claimed it needs yet another bailout.

By the time this is all finished, with the Democrats' notion that government spending is all it takes to get the nation moving again, we could well end up in excess of 3 trillion dollars in debt.

This is not a cure for our economic woes but a witch-doctor's prescription for disaster.

And to add insult to injury, the Democrats have made sure that within the package the House passed is a provision that would give $1000 a piece to illegal aliens.

Gotta make sure those new voters for Democrats are happy, you see.

Read more on this travesty here.
