2 in one day. Tom Daschle becomes the 2nd Obama nominee in a day to withdraw their name from consideration for a Cabinet post.
It seems that the ethics-challenged Obama Administration is having difficulty nominating persons of respectable reputation to the government.
At least the 2 who departed today have enough dignity and self-respect to withdraw their names from consideration rather than drag the U.S. Government down with them into the cesspool.
If only Eric Holder and Timothy Geithner had the same dignity and self-respect.

Wow, I now have quite a bit more respect for Daschle. Don't expect too much from Holder and Geithner. The worst ones never want to give up power.
It doesn't increase my respect for him, one whit.
Who knows how much more mud would have been dredged up?
Like when he was a senator, supposedly representing the people of South Dakota, and his wife was an active lobbyist for Boeing??
I gave a great big cheer for the people of South Dakota, when they voted this pig out of office.

Certainly more class than Holder. Thanks for linking back to CLO BTW. :D
It looks as though Obama supporters do have to make it through at least some sort of vetting. Even if he doesn't.
In any case I think we, as in common Americans are going to be in for a ride that will make the ambulance rolling from seventy MPH look like a fun trip to Lakeside Park!
This has nothing to do with class. Daschle doesn't have any. This has to do with the Obama administration giving him the opportunity of 'faking' class and withdrawing or being unceremoniously dumped with all the bad press that would engender.
