DEMS LIE TO AMERICAN PEOPLE ON HEALTHCARE

Just yesterday we saw a graphic display of just how scandalous the House Democratic leadership can be when committee chair Henry Waxman threatened to move to a floor vote on the government takeover of healthcare that very same day.

Conservative 'blue dog' Democrats were outraged and stormed out of a special meeting with Waxman, stating that he had 'lied to them' that they were merely trying to 'save their Party.'

As if this were not enough, White House henchman Rahm Emanuel told reporters yesterday afternoon that in spite of announcing to the public that there would be no vote on the healthcare legislation until the Fall, the House Democratic leadership is, indeed, planning a vote next week--BEFORE the recess.

The House of Representatives does plan to vote on health legislation before leaving for its August recess, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told NPR.

Emerging from several hours of meetings Thursday with House leaders, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Emanuel told NPR's Steve Inskeep that "their intention is to go next week and she is working toward that goal."

So much for open, honest, ethical, and transparent government...

Suspension of Disbelief

Novelists employ a common literary device known as 'suspension of disbelief' in order to draw the reader into the fictional world that the writer has created, in order to prevent the reader from objecting to the non-reality to the point that they cannot become emotionally involved in the story.

This is how good writers create a fictional world in which we, the readers, react as if we are in the middle of the story, although that story may be about creatures from outer space that like to use human bodies as incubators for their young.

Engage with me in suspension of disbelief for a moment. Suppose the reason our government and other governments around the world are engaging in a push to band together as a united entity because they know something we commoners don't know.

And suppose one of the things we don't know involves information held by only an elite few who head these various governments, and that this information has to do with extraterrestrials who have made contact someway and have hinted at our destruction.

Suppose, further, that these creatures are so highly advanced and intelligent that there is no way an individual nation on earth, not even the United States, could defeat them on its own, and that only by banding together with other nations in some sort of federation would give humanity one fighting chance at holding our new enemies at bay.

Granted, the concept is not new in fiction. These ideas form the foundation of some of our society's greatest and most recognizable science fiction, such as Star Wars, Star Trek, and others.

But the fact that these fictional concepts could become reality is the cutting edge, and this is where suspension of disbelief becomes essential.

It is to be remembered that cartoons from the 1930s and 40s depicted space ships that traveled to the moon. These fictional space ships bear a remarkable resemblance to the real thing that was developed in the 1950s and 60s. And we did actually go to the moon, when during the 1930s such an idea was fodder for laughter and frivolity--nothing more than a cartoon subject.

The question is, if we are headed for such a massive federation of nations on earth, where does liberty fit into the picture? Where is the demand that freedom be preserved? Do citizens maintain the right to keep and bear firearms? Do they have the right to self-defense?

In all of the hoop-la surrounding federations such as the EU and the proposed North American Union, never once have I heard prudent concerns being voiced about preserving the liberties of the people. The only concerns I have heard mentioned involve the issues of security and economics.

Security and economics--the hallmarks of totalitarian regimes that promise their constituencies greater security and better living. Only free societies place human liberty ahead of security and economics, though the latter two may be an important part of the mix.

When human liberty is not part of the mix, what you have is totalitarianism.

Now, come back with me to reality for a moment. Let's suppose that although there is NO such threat from extraterrestrials these governments manufacture a threat of some kind in order to scare their constituencies into submitting to giving up many of their liberties.

This manufactured threat could be just about anything, from economic collapse to terrorists holding us hostage to, well, extraterrestrials who are threatening to annihilate us. Governments are not above conjuring up such fiction, including employing the novelist's device of suspension of disbelief, in order to convince the citizens that only government officials hold the key to our survival.

The thing is, for many such a stark reality is more difficult to believe than the fiction of extraterrestrials threatening our destruction.

It is never a pleasant exercise to seriously consider the fact that people within your own government have everything but the citizens' best interests at heart, and that some of your favorite elected officials are actually engaging in a dark evil.

What is even more unpleasant is to seriously consider that some of your neighbors, fellow citizens, are aiding and abetting these dark and sinister subversives who wish to destroy liberty and turn America into something it was never envisioned to be.

The central question thus becomes, do you wish to remain as one of the uniformed masses who are being toyed with by the puppet-masters, or do you wish to be a fully informed and totally involved American citizen?

Of course, the easier of the two roads is to believe the fiction, fantastic and unbelievable though it may be. The hard thing to do is accept and deal with reality. But then, we are Americans. We've always done the hard jobs.

Johnny Sutton Lies to Congress on Border Patrol Agents

Washington, DC (TLS). On Tuesday of this week, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, the Bush crony from Texas who has the responsibility to prosecute cases involving the nation's southern border, gave testimony before a Senate subcommittee.

The subcommittee is investigating government wrongdoing in the handling of the Ramos-Compean case. Agents Ramos and Compean are the two Border Patrol Agents who were falsely accused, tried, convicted, and sent to prison for over a decade for shooting an illegal alien drug smuggler in the buttocks.

The Liberty Sphere has posted a series of op-eds on this case, showing ample evidence from multiple sources indicating that these two Agents are the victims of a Bush Administration smear-job in order to protect its precious relationship with the corrupt Mexican government.

We already know Administration officials in the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security lied to Congressional Republicans investigating this case. These particular officials even admitted to their lies.

And now the point-man himself, Johnny Sutton, also lies to Congress.

This time, however, those lies are going to a Senate subcommittee under the control of the Bush Administration's arch-enemies rather than the members of the President's own Party in the House.

This begs the question as to why the Bush Administration would lie and stonewall to a group of Republicans who at least have some loyalty to the President, knowing full well that the investigation would eventually wind up in the hands of totally hostile political enemies in the Senate.

Sutton's testimony before the subcommittee chaired by Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-CA, was filled with misleading statements, deflections, half-truths, innuendo, and outright untruths. He left more questions unanswered than is acceptable.

Republican Senators who heard the testimony expressed deep frustration and a sense of incredulity over Sutton's obvious, overt non-answers and untruths.

And as for the Democrats, Senator Feinstein fired off a memo to President Bush stating that the two Border Patrol agents need to be freed from prison. Once she heard the unbelievable testimony of Sutton, the stage was set for a hostile confrontation with the President.

As we have done at least a dozen times over the past year, The Liberty Sphere calls on George W. Bush to bring himself to do the right thing and release from prison these innocent and falsely-accused men. We call for the outright dismissal of Johnny Sutton and anybody else in the Administration who lied to Congress about this case.

We also call for the President to take full responsibility for this debacle and travesty of justice at the hands of government officials, and then clean house.

Once again, unless Mr. Bush takes these steps now on his own, the nation is in for a coup at the hands of the Democrats in 2008, who will then proceed to clean house by throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Is this what you want, Mr. President?

The Liberty Sphere predicts that anything short of a full housecleaning by the President himself will result in more Republican casualties in 2008 than that which occurred in 1974 in the aftermath of the Nixon Watergate Scandal.

And at that point the President's legacy will be that he was worse than Nixon in nearly destroying the Republican Party.

Senate Investigates Border Patrol Scandal

Washington, DC (TLS). The U.S. Senate has opened an investigation into the Border Patrol scandal that sent two innocent men, Agents Ramos and Compean, to prison. Each of the men will be in jail for over a decade.

President Bush's friend and crony from Texas, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, has made sure that anyone who seriously enforces U.S. law on illegal aliens will have a heavy price to pay. His intimidation tactics at the border have put a blanket of fear over those who attempt to control illegal border crossings.

The House of Representatives has repeatedly attempted to gain the cooperation of the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Justice Department in investigating wrongdoing on the part of the government in prosecuting and convicting two innocent men.

However, the White House, the DHS, and the DOJ have essentially told the House of Representatives it can go to hell.

U.S. Representative Tom Tancredo, R-Colorado, was even contacted by Karl Rove to be informed that he would no longer have access to the White House.

Tancredo has been a persistent warrior on behalf of the two falsely accused and imprisoned Border Patrol agents.

Another great American patriot in Congress who has sought truth and justice in this case is Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-California. Officials in the Bush Administration even admitted to lying to Rohrabacher's committee, which was investigating the scandal.

Despite the investigations, the pleas, and the threats of Republican Congressmen, absolutely nothing has been done to rectify one of the most despicable displays of prosecutorial misconduct and government corruption in the history of the U.S. Justice Department.

Not even the persistent pleas of the highly respected and longtime Republican Congressman from California, Duncan Hunter, could convince the Administration to do the right thing.

The Bush Administration may well regret that it did not cooperate with Rohrabacher, Tancredo, and Hunter. The U.S. Senate, under the control of Democrats, has now seized the issue.

Thus, no longer is the White House dealing with its friends in Congress. It will now go head-to-head with those who have a vested interest in completely destroying the Bush White House and putting a permanent stain on the legacy of this Administration.

To be perfectly candid, the Administration had it coming. They have brought this on themselves. By refusing to do the right thing and free the innocent Border Patrol agents, fire Johnny Sutton, and launch an investigation into government corruption of its own, the Bush White House will now suffer the consequences--a completely hostile investigation.

Normally The Liberty Sphere views investigations launched by Democrats in Congress as nothing more than political opportunism at its worst. In this case, however, we find ourselves fully supporting the Democrats in the Senate who wish to get to the bottom of this horrific scandal.

Perhaps this is one case where both Republicans and Democrats can work together to reign in an Administration that apparently operates under the assumption that it can do whatever it wants, legal or not.

Mr. Bush could help himself tremendously by admitting to the mistakes of Johnny Sutton and others, firing those who need to be ousted, and taking responsibility for those in his Administration who were neither ethical nor trustworthy.

I fear that unless Mr. Bush does his own housecleaning now, the Democrats will surely do it in 2008 with a massive sweep that will put both the White House and the Congress under their control.

And such a thing would be ominous for the country.

Justifiable Outrage

Durham, NC (TLS). Despite the excellent news that all charges against the three Duke lacrosse students falsely accused are being dropped, including a strongly-worded proclamation of innocence by the North Carolina Attorney-General, there is no celebrating in Durham on the part of the lives disrupted and nearly ruined by the fiasco.

Instead there is outrage. And this outrage is justifiable.

Three innocent young men--David Evans, Collin Finnerty and Reade Seligmann--were dragged through the absolute worst nightmare of their lives by being accused of crimes they did not commit, thus robbing them of a full year of student life, normal activity, and the pursuit of future professional employment. Their good names and reputations were not only sullied but dragged through the mud as an entire community it seemed united behind proclaiming them guilty.

And this was not even a case of guilty until proven innocent, as tyrannical as that is. They were proclaimed guilty, and in the minds of many there was no use in even having a trial at all. The court of public opinion had already issued its verdict--guilty no matter what the evidence or the facts say.

Certain special interest groups with a very well-known agenda came together with local personalities and entities as co-conspirators in this miscarriage of justice--Mike Nifong and the Durham D.A.'s office, the Durham Police Department, the Durham criminal justice system, the Durham Democratic Party, Duke University, the infamous 'group of 88' faculty members of Duke, the NAACP, the North Carolina Democratic Party, and certain members of the press and certain websites devoted to stirring up the pot bangers.

All of them now have egg all over their faces, in spite of their frantic attempts to appear delighted that the three students were proclaimed innocent.

Some of the co-conspirators, however, are still spouting their hateful venom. At least they are consistent if not very smart.

The fact that this entire affair has now been shown to be a hoax from top to bottom is a chilling microcosm of the state of the criminal justice system in America today. As devastating as this has been for the three young men and their families, who have suffered unfathomable emotional and financial loss, think of what would have happened had the three students come from families of meager means. They would have been totally overwhelmed and swallowed up by a system engaged in a legal equivalent of the story of David and Goliath, except in this case Goliath would have smashed David with his foot.

Had the accused been from a poor or lower-middle-class background, the massive machine of the North Carolina justice system would have engulfed them whole.

This is precisely why those who were adversely impacted by this hoax must take action--not only for themselves but on behalf of those who may not have fared so well had they been accused.

The State of North Carolina, as Mike Nifong's employer, is a co-defendant in this case. Nifong represented the state. His actions carried the weight of the state of North Carolina into any case he decided to prosecute. The same goes for Durham County. Government entities that are implicated in this hoax by the mere fact that Nifong acted in their name should bear some of the responsibility for this shameful display.

Thus, the outrage of the friends and family of the three students should be channeled into legal action. Each government entity involved in this case should be sued. The former accused students and their families are owed a massive bounty from the state of North Carolina and Durham...at least a million bucks a piece to each of the falsely accused.

Criminal charges should be brought against Mike Nifong and some within the Durham Police Department for perpetrating a heinous crime--that of falsely accusing and framing innocent people for crimes they did not commit. The criminal charges should be followed by civil suits.

The only way we are going to prevent this kind of horror from happening again and again is to make the penalty so severe that corrupt government officials will think twice before engaging in such charades.

In fact, the Duke lacrosse rape hoax is a perfect example of government run amok, of unfettered government power and the very real danger it poses to innocent citizens.

This is a golden opportunity to beat back the creeping crawl of government power and to win a big one for the rights of individual citizens. But in this case, it won't be Goliath who wins. 'Little David' will be the one who sends a stone hurling into the monster of big government, right between the eyes.

Such a moment is long overdue.

The 'Nifonging' of the American Public

Charlotte, NC (TLS). The infamous case of Prosecutor Mike Nifong, who has been charged by the North Carolina Bar with prosecutorial misconduct, lying to the court, and ethics violations, has become a metaphor for the aggressive prosecution of the innocent by state's attorneys with ulterior motives.

Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald charged Scooter Libby with a crime he did not commit, the basis of which was not even a crime at all. Instead of going after the real source of the leak, Mr. Richard Armitage, Fitzgerald chose instead to railroad Scooter Libby into facing charges of a crime which is not really a crime--which is why Armitage was not charged in the first place...meaning, of course, that the entire trial was a sham from start to finish--a political set-up job by a rogue Special Prosecutor with an ax to grind with Vice President Dick Cheney over the War in Iraq.

U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton of El Paso, Texas has relentlessly and mercilessly targeted law enforcement officials in the state of Texas who have jurisdiction over the counties and municipalities near or at the southern border. Not only that but he has exhibited a penchant for punishing conscientious Border Patrol agents who are doing their best to uphold federal law by protecting our borders against illegal aliens.

Despite the clear wording of the United States Code, which states that the aiding and abetting of illegal aliens is a felony, Sutton has proceeded to aid and abet the aliens by prosecuting the law enforcement officials who apprehend them.

In case after case, various news organizations such as CNS News Service and WorldNetDaily have documented a paper trail of blatant prosecutorial misconduct on the part of Johnny Sutton in going after innocent men who attempt to guard our borders and uphold FEDERAL law.

Yet so far not a single move has been made to investigate Sutton or remove him from these cases, in spite of desperate pleas by Republican Congressmen who are familiar with Sutton and his misdeeds.

Regardless of what ANYONE says in Sutton's defense, the message he is sending to Mexico and to American citizens is that there are two sets of laws that govern this nation--one for illegal aliens, and one for the rest of us. And if one of the 'rest of us' dares to enforce the laws of the United States Code in apprehending illegal aliens at the border, that person will have hell to pay in a court of law, including a lengthy term of imprisonment.

Thus, Sutton is making it clear that when it comes to illegal aliens, the law be damned.

And the message that Mexico hears is, 'Gee, we can rape and plunder America all we want. We don't have to worry about immigration laws. We have Sutton at the border to protect us!'

Despite all of this accumulation of graft, President George W. Bush still stubbornly refuses to issue pardons to Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean. And his crony Johnny Sutton is still sitting at the Border waiting for an honorable law enforcement official to do his job...so that he can haul his sorry butt to court.

It is Sutton's sorry butt that needs to be rotting in prison rather than Ramos and Compean. The man is committing felonies right and left by aiding and abetting illegal aliens.

And then we come to South Carolina, where Allenna Williams Ward awaits her court hearing on April 2, under charges of engaging in criminal sexual conduct with under-age teenage boys. The state's attorney in the case, Jerry Peace, sorely needs to score a victory on a teacher sex scandal case. Two previous situations went nowhere in a hurry, and those who pressure state's attorneys, in addition to the self-pressure of prosecutors, on the basis of 'wins' rather than true justice being done seem to believe that Ward is an easy target to make a point.

Peace's behavior in this case has been suspect for many various reasons, not the least of which is that he did not adhere to his usual practice of pleading out cases such as this when he feels his case is solid. From what The Liberty Sphere can tell so far, in carefully researching the details, the charges, the logistics, etc., Allenna Williams Ward is a naive, sheltered young woman who may have engaged in some boundary violations with the teenagers. But boundary violations do not equal criminal sexual behavior. Lack of maturity and wisdom in what would normally be called harmless behavior is NOT child molestation or rape.

Although the teachers of the Bell Street Elementary School are under a gag order concerning Ward, it is clear that when they speak in general terms about the case there is a state of disbelief that Ward would engage in the activities the charges indicate.

In fact, not a single shred of supporting evidence in terms of Ward's character, behavior, reputation, demeanor, or deportment in the least bit suggests any tendencies toward the acts with which she is charged.

So far, the only evidence against her is the word of a few 14-15 year old boys.

Even the attorney representing three of the boys cannot produce any physical evidence proving that a text message was sent by Ward to his client telling him to 'keep his mouth shut,'
neither does the state's attorney possess any proof that such a text message exists.

In addition, the so-called cell-phone picture, the supposed 'smoking gun,' is so far nothing more than hearsay perpetrated by those with a vested interest in covering their tracks, since NOBODY--not the prosecutor, not law enforcement, and not the attorney representing the boys--possesses such a photo. In fact, the rumor of a cell-phone photo has the smell of an after-thought--a means to shore up what is beginning to look like a sham of a story, a made-up tale by teenagers gone bad.

So far, neither the infamous text message nor the infamous photo have been produced. Thus, we can only assume they do not exist.

Unless someone can produce the proof that Ward sent that message, and that the message referred specifically to the crimes she is accused of committing, and unless someone can place Ward at the motel in question, or in any of the other public places where the supposed encounters took place, then it would appear that Peace has no case. And if it turns out that the boys lied about the existence of a cell phone photo, then it will be clear that these wayward teenagers made a mockery of the United States Judicial System.

Thus, Ward would be yet another innocent citizen to be 'nifonged.'

The sad and frightening scenario that is developing in the wake of all of these miscarriages of justice is that the entire criminal justice system in America is under siege by dishonest individuals who do not care in the least that the law is upheld or that justice is done, but only that they get to add another 'notch to their belt,' or that they can accomplish a subversive agenda, such as the deliberate violation of the nation's immigration laws.

If the persons who hold the title of District Attorney, or State's Attorney, or U.S. Attorney, or Special Prosecutor, are not basically honest persons of integrity, then no one in America is safe from having their reputations ruined and their good names dragged through the mud. A dishonest person with that kind of power is not only a scourge to the nation but a dangerous cancer growing on the legal system.

How many innocent persons sit rotting in jail because of these deceptive thugs?

Unless these individuals are rooted out of their positions of power, then the entire judicial system of the United States of America is suspect. The system of a free Constitutional Republic depends upon the integrity of the men and women who hold its offices. If these individuals cannot be trusted, then the entire system fails.

I have just named four individuals within the system who either cannot be trusted outright, or who are at least under some suspicion.

The question is, do these high-profile individuals represent the state of the system as a whole, or are they exceptions to the rule? The more that cases like this dominate the news, and the longer we as a society allow the dishonest to get away with it, the more it appears that their lack of integrity is the norm. We are witnessing the nifonging of the American public.

President George W. Bush could do the entire nation a favor by setting a good example for others among the various states to follow. He could remove Sutton from office and investigate him for prosecutorial misconduct, lying to the court, and for violating the code of ethics. He could pardon the accused law enforcement officials who have suffered under the heavy-handedness of Sutton's oppression.

If the President sets such an example, this could well be the signal that dishonesty in prosecuting cases will not be tolerated anywhere within the United States of America.

Such a Presidential move is long overdue.

LIBERTY ALERT! Sutton Under Fire Over Border Patrol Fiasco

Washington, DC (TLS). Finally, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, who sent two Border Patrol agents to prison using fabricated and tainted evidence supplied by a repeat drug smuggler, has come under fire for his conduct in the case.

The Liberty Sphere has been reporting for weeks that Sutton is a co-conspirator in one of the biggest scandals to rock the U.S. government since the Clinton years.

Now, apparently, Congress has the goods on Sutton to begin some serious investigations into prosecutorial misconduct, lying to the court, falsely accusing two innocent men, and participating in a set-up by the Department of Homeland Security to smear the reputations of two Border Patrol agents in order to save face with the Mexican government, which is corrupt beyond description.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher said this about Sutton: 'Congress has an obligation as a separate branch of government to watch the executive branch and rein in an out-of-control prosecutor that is a danger to the American people. Arrogance and disregard for human beings lends credibility to the bad things in the past.'

The Liberty Sphere hopes that not only will Congress act quickly to bring to justice to the rogue prosecutor, but also the rogue Judge, and the corrupt officials in the Department of Homeland Security who lied to Congress.

Framing two innocent men should carry the maximum penalty of the law. And there are many implicated in this set-up job.

Border Patrol Agents' Bond Request Denied

Washington, DC (TLS). With each passing day the case of the Border Patrol agents who fired at an illegal alien drug runner becomes more troubling. No murder was committed. The alien was shot in the buttocks, which is by no means life-threatening. Yet, these two American patriots were send to prison for a dozen years and are being denied bond.

Why?

The latest request that the two agents be released on bond pending appeal of the verdict has been denied by the court. This makes absolutely no sense. In fact, not a single detail of this story makes any sense whatsoever...UNLESS someone in the highest levels of government knows more than has been disclosed.

The most troubling fact of all, however, is that what they know is designed to protect an illegal alien drug runner by hauling off to jail the very law enforcement officials at the border who uncovered the crime. Obviously, someone, somewhere wants the two silenced, out of the way, and muzzled.

It is highly suspicious that two law enforcement officials would be given sentences amounting to 12 years for one, and 11 years for the other, when the very worst thing that happened is that an illegal alien drug runner got shot in the buttocks. Add to that the murky story of lies in the Department of Homeland Security, which was admitted to Congress in a hearing a few weeks ago.

Why would the government lie in order to incarcerate two law enforcement officials if the truth were enough to convict them?

The simple answer is that the truth does NOT convict them at all. Therefore, a plot to deceive had to be devised by the Department of Homeland Security in order to make sure they were convicted. If the government has to tell lies in order to gain a conviction, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that telling the truth would result in an unacceptable scenario for the Department of Homeland Security, namely, that the two agents would be found not guilty of the charges.

The question persists as to why, exactly, the government wanted so badly to see these two men imprisoned. The fact that a known drug runner from Mexico was given complete immunity, was never charged with his crimes, and was used to testify against two Americans in OUR courts, certainly does not help the government's case. In fact, all of the facts point to high-level misconduct, reaching from U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton and Judge Kathleen Cardone all the way to the highest levels of the Department of Homeland Security, which has already admitted to lies in the case.

Under normal circumstances, the mere fact that the prosecution, which in this case is the U.S. Government, lied to the court would be enough for the case to be declared a mistrial and the defendants released from prison.

Not in this case.

Why?

Theories abound as to why. Yet the most plausible theory we have heard to date has to do with the illegal alien himself and his connections both to the U.S. Government AND to the government of Mexico.

In short, the drug runner from Mexico has high-level friends in both governments. This scenario would begin to explain why a simple case of law enforcement doing its duty to subdue a criminal would turn into a three-ring circus resulting in two innocent men going to jail for over a decade. It would also begin to explain government deception, cover-up, and a steadfast refusal by the U.S. officials to release the two on bond, despite the fact we now know they were convicted on the basis of government lies.

It would also begin to explain why George W. Bush has been so very willing to risk his reputation and support among the members of his own Party by his steadfast refusal to issue pardons.

But the question that remains unanswered is just who, exactly, is this illegal alien drug runner that the governments of Mexico and the United States are trying so hard to protect, even at the expense of throwing two innocent American citizens in jail?

Perhaps this, too, is part of the cover-up. To know the full identity of this criminal would lead to discoveries about his game and his CONTACTS. And THAT, my friends, apparently is something that no one in the Bush Administration wants anyone to know.

The Liberty Sphere has suggested before that this could well mean the complete unraveling of the Bush Presidency. We stand by that initial assessment. Nothing that has come to light in the past two weeks since the government admitted to Congress that it lied has served to ease suspicions. Rather, ever single fact that has been made public about this case serves as cause for only more suspicion.

It is our assessment that Mr. Bush is walking on thin ice with this case. He has lost the respect of some members of his own Party over this debacle, and he has created suspicion in the minds of others who previously had given him unwavering support. The talk of impeachment by Congressional Republicans is not empty rhetoric. Some of these admirable patriots are willing to put aside political loyalty for honor.

Something very dishonorable has happened in the Border Patrol case, and everyone knows it. Only the President at this point can correct this stain on the Republic by issuing pardons to the two agents, and launching investigations into high crimes and misdemeanors on the part of government officials, including the Department of Homeland Security.

If this is not done, the President can rest assured that Congressional Republicans will launch their own investigation into high crimes and misdemeanors, except this time that investigation will target the President himself.

More GOP Outrage at Bush over Border Patrol Debacle

Washington, DC (TLS). A growing chorus of voices within the Republican Party are expressing dismay and outright bitterness toward the Bush Administration's handling of the Border Patrol incident, resulting in two innocent men being cast into prison for lengthy sentences. Among those publicly voicing the growing discontent are Representatives Dana Rohrabacher, Ted Poe, Walter Jones, Marsha Blackburn, and Presidential candidates Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo--all Republicans.

While Hunter and Tancredo express confidence that the President will do the right thing and either pardon the men or release them at least until a review of the case can be completed, Rohrabacher, Jones, and Blackburn have expressed deep concern about the apparent gross government mishandling of the case--a trail that leads all the way to the Oval Office. Rohrabacher on Wednesday stated that the President will face impeachment hearings if any more harm befalls the two falsely charged agents while they are imprisoned.

LIBERTY ALERT!! BORDER PATROL HOAX EXPLODES INTO WHITE HOUSE!

Washington, DC (TLS). The Liberty Sphere has received explosive information this afternoon concerning the Border Patrol Hoax. As reported earlier today, the government has admitted to a Congressional panel that it lied in order to convict two innocent Border Patrol agents, both of whom are now in prison. Word comes this afternoon, however, that this scandal follows a trail that may lead directly to the White House and the Oval Office itself.

The U.S. Attorney who led the charge against the two Border Patrol agents is none other than Johnny Sutton, a Bush appointee who was also closely involved with the administration of then-Texas Governor Bush when he was the state's chief executive. Another Bush crony, U.S. District Judge Kathleen Cardone, presided in the case and did the sentencing.

My friends, this is explosive new evidence, particularly in light of the fact that we now know that everything the Department of Homeland Security said to convict the two agents was pure fabrication--barefaced lies. We also now know that U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton lied to the court, to the press, and in numerous interviews he granted to talk radio hosts.

We know that the Bush administration has been dragging its feet in the pardon request for the two agents. We know the Department of Homeland security stonewalled, lied, and refused Congressional requests for documents proving their allegations against the agents. We also know that the Bush White House has also engaged in stonewalling when questions arise from the press corp about the two wrongfully-imprisoned agents, one of whom was beaten to within an inch of his life in a federal penitentiary, although he was supposed to be placed in an area apart from the general prison population. None of the government's promises to that effect were fulfilled.

This is beginning to look like a put-up job from start to finish--an outright attempt to frame two innocent cops. Why? We can only conjecture at this point. But we do know that the Bush administration has consistently resisted enforcing U.S. law when it comes to our border with Mexico. Laws concerning illegal aliens have been almost totally ignored. And if the White House was involved in any way with this deliberate framing and incarceration of the two innocent border patrol agents, then felonies have been committed.

Was Bush a willing accomplice to this sordid scheme?

If not, then the ONLY way the Bush White House can cleanse itself of any stain or dreadful political repercussions from this despicable episode is to IMMEDIATELY issue a full, free pardon to the two agents and launch a thorough investigation into the conduct of the Department of Homeland Security, Judge Kathleen Cardone, and U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton.

Heads will need to roll over this one, folks. And if Mr. Bush does not follow through, then Congress certainly will, except then it will be a criminal investigation of the President himself.

This entire fiasco will most definitely blow up in the President's face unless he takes decisive action NOW to rid the government of corruption and set those two innocent men free.
