I used to have some respect for Joe Lieberman as a man of principle, even though I disagree with him most of the time.
As of today, that day is no more.
Joe Lieberman is a Village Idiot who needs to be tarred and feathered for stating flatly he would block the government takeover of healthcare if it contained a public option, only to state today that he is moving toward supporting the measure.
True, the magicians in Congress changed the language and some of the structure, but there are still multi-billions of dollars in this bill in subsidies that do the very same thing as the public option.
So, what's the difference? NONE! Just a matter of semantics. Way to go, Joe.

Nancy Pelosi is a Village Idiot Who Needs to be Tarred and Feathered
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-California, was asked a question by a reporter concerning the proposed government takeover of healthcare. The reporter wanted to know if the Constitution allows Congress to mandate healthcare insurance for all citizens.
Pelosi stated, 'Are you serious? Are you serious?'
Actually, someone should tell the Village Idiot that this is perhaps the most serious question that could be asked about the proposed legislation, or any other piece of legislation for that matter.
Here is the full text and an audio of the exchange.

Mary Landrieu is a Village Idiot Who Needs to be Tarred and Feathered
A reporter asked U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu, D-Louisiana, if there was anything in the Constitution that allowed Congress to mandate that citizens purchase something, in this case healthcare insurance.
Landrieu, in a condescending tone, stated to the reporter, 'We have an entire team of lawyers in Congress who will decide that issue. I will defer the question to the lawyers.'
Perhaps someone should inform the Village Idiot that you don't need a team of lawyers to come to the conclusion that the Constitution does not give Congress such power. That is readily apparent to anyone who can read.
Of course, this is the very same Village Idiot who was bought off by the Democratic leadership to the tune of at least 100 million bucks in order to secure her vote in favor of the government takeover of healthcare.

Screaming Bloody Murder in the Streets
The Washington elites have really 'stuck it' to the taxpayers this time by approving the Baucus healthcare reform and tax increase bill in the Senate Finance Committee. This bill now goes to the Senate floor.
Perhaps it is time to take to the streets--and with more 'teeth' than the other protests so far this year. Columbia Conservative Examiner provides commentary on this issue.
It is going to get very sticky out there, my friends...

EXPLOSVIE! Gag Order On Medicare Cuts!
The federal government imposed a gag order on health insurance companies concerning pending cuts in Medicare benefits under the proposed government takeover of healthcare.
This explosive story and video of Mitch McConnell blasting the gag order can be found at Columbia Conservative Examiner.
McConnell mentions in the video from the Senate floor that a powerful Democrat urged the Medicare office to impose the gag to prevent senior adult customers from being informed of the cuts in their Medicare benefits under the Democrat proposals.
Just wait till you see which powerful Democrat Senator is behind the whole thing!

Joe Wilson's War
As for me, I am proud to be a South Carolinian today. Congressman Joe Wilson, R-SC, called out the President of the United States on his lies.
Read the entire analysis at Columbia Conservative Examiner.
Naturally, Wilson is being vilified and trashed today as no other since Trent Lott praised Strom Thurmond on his 100th birthday.
We need to stir up an avalanche of support for a brave Patriot who told the truth in the tradition of the Founders of the Republic!

Obama Tries to Stop the Unraveling
Obama's speech before Congress tonight is pure politics. Sensing that his Presidency is in deep trouble, Obama hopes that by going before Congress and the public to try to save his plan for the government takeover of healthcare, he can stem the unraveling of his failing Administration.
Read all about it at Columbia Conservative Examiner.
One thing we have learned we can count on from Obama in these speeches--more snake oil couched in smiles and smooth talk.

Back to Business on Healthcare
Congress is now back in session, and citizens should be wary.
Will the loud, angry outcry from the public on healthcare be heeded by our illustrious elected officials? Apparently not, as we report today at Columbia Conservative Examiner.
One good sign, however, is that 23 Democrats in the House have stated they will NOT vote for the healthcare reform bill.

Citizen Assault on Washington!
Let the record show that this day, September 1, 2009, is DAY ONE of the citizen assault on Washington.
The lamebrains in Congress are going to renew the push for government-run healthcare by removing the 'public option' and promoting it in Ted Kennedy's name.
No matter. The provisions of the Waxman Committee bill in the House still amount to government-run healthcare, even without the public option.
The details are at Columbia Conservative Examiner.
Time for a top-to-bottom housecleaning in 2010!

Scrap the Healthcare Thing and Start Over
Time for an entirely new way of thinking on healthcare.
Columbia Conservative Examiner describes a paradigm shift on the issue.
The plan put forth by Obama and the Democrats starts with all of the wrong presuppositions. The plan described in the article will start with American ideals, rational solutions, and free markets.

"He's Gonna Shove This Thing Down Our Throats Whether We Like It or Not!"
Speaking to a closed-door meeting of Republicans on the Hill, Barack Obama stated that he will get his healthcare proposal approved by the end of the year, 'Even if I am a one-term President.'
Read the details at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

Montana Townhall Packed with Obamanoids
Did you happen to catch CBS News' report on the Barack Obama townhall meeting in Montana yesterday?
If you didn't, you missed a rare display of honest reporting from Couric and company.
CBS actually reported that the townhall meeting was packed with Obama supporters. They even described how they accomplished this feat, given that Obama has so much opposition in the state.
Attendees had to get a ticket to get in. And the Dems gathered long before the line opened in order to gobble up tickets ahead of anyone else.
Thus, most of the opponents of ObamaCare were forced to hold their protests down the street, in a designated area. Only a few opponents of the Obama healthcare plan could get into the arena, due to the 'Democrat-packing.'
So now you know the real story. And yes, I am still trying with all my might to keep from fainting just knowing that this entire thing was reported on the CBS Evening News.

From a Reader...
A faithful reader of this blog sent me a copy of a letter he wrote to Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill on the ObamaCare debacle. He gave me permission to use it, and I decided I would.
I offer the letter without comment or response. It speaks for itself. And it represents the views of millions of us.
-----------------------
This is my response to Sen. MacCaskill on her appearance on The O'Reilly Factor where she said she asked people, at the town hall meeting, to raise their hands if they were on Medicare, then asked them to put down their hands if they wanted to see the program ended. She then used that example as public approval of government health care, even though they may say they do not want Health Care Reform as currently presented.
Letter to Claire MacCaskill 08/13/09- Disingenuousness about Medicare and Health Care Reform
You ignored one very important distinction in your example of Medicare recipients not wanting that program to be discontinued. They had no choice. Paying into the system was not voluntary. It was compelled by law. In many cases more than 50 years of collection for each worker. The bite is now about 20 percent, yeah, I know the employee part is a little less than eight per cent on the paycheck, but don't you think the empoyer's equal contribution affects wage rates?
Then a couple of decades ago, medicare was separated from the FICA taxes, not by diversion of already being collected funds, but by adding more percentage points of deduction from paychecks for employees or gross income from the small businessman. Not voluntary, so to insinuate that recipients of medicare are in favor of government-run health care is patently incorrect and may even be dishonest.
They had no choice about enrollment in the program. Now that they have reached the age where medical care is more likely to be needed and after decades of having the monies taken from them that they could have used to provide it for themselves, they have a right to expect that contract be honored. Now that it needs to be honored, the administration wants to reduce the likelihood of the cash cows receiving the benefits they were promised for their mandatory support of the system, since they are no longer producing. Even if it means they are denied the care their money has already been paid for.
Money that they could have used to provide health care or insurance for themselves, they have a right to expect that contract be honored.
So, cut the crap. You already know all this. Do not again equate governmental compulsion of citizens into a forced program with citizen approval of that government program. You must give people a choice before you can infer approval.
Not so respectfully,
Charles H. Sawders

ObamaCare: Lives of the Elderly Devalued
Imagine a dollar value being placed on the heads of U.S. citizens in the healthcare system. That is exactly what ObamaCare does.
And guess who comes out the losers. The elderly and the very young.
Read the details at Columbia Conservative Examiner and find out what Obama's own healthcare advisors are saying about rationing and the expendability of the elderly.

"Is White House Compiling an Enemies List?"
Rev. Kharma at Kharma Futures submits a guest post today on the Liberty Sphere. The frightening nature of this Administration just got even more frightening as Barack Obama calls for spying on and reporting citizens who oppose his government takeover of healthcare.
"Is the White House Compiling an Enemies List?"
by Rev. Kharma
Day after day, this administration seems to push things further and further. During the Bush years, we saw the adoption of the Patriot Act as a direct response to an attack on our country.
Many questioned, some quite loudly if the danger was sufficient to justify the curtailing of liberty which accompanied the new rules. While many objected, there was at least some rational purpose, an attempt to find and stop those who would attack us again.
The danger was, and is clear. In addition to the short term infringement of our freedom, the use and abuse of the Patriot Act powers by any future administration, with perhaps a less than pure motivation was always lurking.
Now we see that even more than just abusing existing statutes the Obama Administration is moving toward using ’snitches’ to gather information on those who ’spread misinformation on Obama’s health care plan’. Look here to see Byron York’s essay in the Washington Examiner. CBS says the following:
The White House in recent days has taken pro-active steps to combat the misinformation spreading about the president’s health care plans…
Senator John Cornyn of Texas has send a letter in which he puts it plainly and clearly:
“By requesting that citizens send “fishy” emails to the White House, it is inevitable that the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and private speech of U.S. citizens will be reported to the White House,” Cornyn wrote to Obama. “I can only imagine the level of justifiable outrage had your predecessor asked Americans to forward emails critical of his policies to the White House.”
The Dallas Morning News has more detail, including the entire letter from Senator Cornyn.
When all of the actions of this administration are put out for view, in the clear light of reason it is difficult to avoid reacting in fear. Recall his plan for Obama 2.0, to continue his own separate campaign organization. Recall the statements from his administration on the need for a separate ‘ civilian organization’ to equal the military. The press secretary calls those who are angry at their representatives at town hall meetings angry mobs.
This most recent request is just far too similar of tactics used by past administrations to collect information on ‘dissidents’ in National Socialist Germany, or Stalinist Russia, or Castroist Cuba. Use fear, use neighbors to rat out others, and you will rapidly silence opposition.
How long before this secret list is used by the Obama Justice department, or the IRS to target those who have opposed him.
We are in dangerous times folks. We all need to step up. If you are not afraid to have your name and e-mail added to the list, then why not try this. Send an e-mail to the following: ( I am following the lead I read here, it’s brilliant)

and ask that you be reported as opposed to Obama care. By the time I post this I’m willing to guess that I’m already on the list, but I’ll send a copy of this post just to be sure.
