In approximately 48 hours or so, Doomsday will descend on the Republic if Congress approves ObamaCare, the vote for which will occur, according to Congressional Democrats, on Sunday.
The bill is sheer tyranny...the epitome of government oppression our Founders warned against.
It forces citizens to buy insurance. It places the IRS in a 'government spy' position over the citizens, sort of like, you know, the old KGB in the Soviet Union and Hitler's SS. It removes privacy protections from your medical records. It places the government in charge of delivery of care, including informing you what you can and cannot have done regarding your personal health. And it tells you when you become too old for it to be 'worth it' for the government to pay for your continued care. Thus, the death panels.
But that's not all. It outlaws private student loans and places the government in complete control over that too. Oh yes, this was added to the bill to bribe some of those who didn't like the healthcare portion.
Now, the government already owns GM, part of Chrysler, part of the banking and mortgage industry, and now they wish to add the U.S. Healthcare System and the student loan industry.
Hell, why not just 'nationalize' everything and be done with it?
Never forget some of our fellow citizens voted for these tyrants. Who keeps sending Pelosi back to Congress, year after year? Some of our fellow citizens are just as Marxist as the tyrants in Congress and the White House.
Thus, we will have no one but ourselves to blame for our woes when this monstrosity is forced upon us.
The clock is ticking my friends. It may be 48 hours to Doomsday but it is 5 seconds to midnight on the tyranny clock. If we can stop this massive government intrusion into private lives, we will have saved the Republic. But if we don't, then as Reagan said, we will be 'doomed to a thousand years of darkness.'

Every Day ObamaCare Delayed 200 Lives Saved
Obamanoids claim that each day socialized medicine is delayed, 60 lives are lost.

No one ever lost their lives due to the lack of insurance but the lack of treatment. And anyone, anywhere, no matter how poor and even if they are uninsured, can get healthcare at any emergency room in America.

HEALTHCARE SHOWDOWN--Obama Threatens GOP
In a stunning display of complete callousness toward 'bipartisanship' and the American people as a whole, Barack Obama submitted a tweaked version of ObamaCare this morning and threatened the GOP that if they filibuster to block it, the Democrats will use 'reconciliation' to approve the measure with only 51 votes rather than the normal 60 votes needed to pass.

A loophole in the Senate health care bill would let insurers place annual dollar limits on medical care for people struggling with costly illnesses such as cancer, prompting a rebuke from patient advocates.
The legislation that originally passed the Senate health committee last summer would have banned such limits, but a tweak to that provision weakened it in the bill now moving toward a Senate vote.
Follow-Up to Previous 'Red Alert' on Healthcare
Some of you were distressed to read this red alert from the wee hours of Friday morning.
Here is the follow-up and the explanation of what happened.
Apparently someone at FreedomWorks got wind from an informant in Congress that Harry Reid was secretly planning a strategy to pass the massive government takeover of healthcare TODAY.
Reid had reportedly consulted with House leaders to reach a deal that would allow him to simultaneously present the Senate bill for a vote while the House would vote to substitute the Reid bill for its own bill, thus meaning that in one concurrent vote the U.S. Congress would pass ObamaCare in short order...by today.
In order to pull this off Reid would have had to cancel all Senate meetings on Friday in order to work on the plan.
Several things happened to prevent any of this from taking place.
First, despite Reid's public pronouncements that claim broad support for the healthcare bill in its present form, there is still significant opposition among the Democrats. Senators Nelson, Bayh, and Lincoln are said to be livid that an amendment was voted down that would have barred federal funds--taxpayers' money--from funding abortions. These Senators have stated they will not vote for any bill that contains taxpayer funding for abortion.
One caveat to all of this--Reid claims he can afford to lose the support of a few Democrats since he will pick up the support of GOP RINOS Snowe and Collins. He may even have the support of Lieberman now that the public option in the bill has been tweaked, although Lieberman insists he will oppose any bill that contains it.
Second, Reid may be timid about presenting a bill for vote that is not yet a sure fire deal. To lose would be a major embarrassment for Reid, Pelosi, the Democratic-controlled Congress, and the Obama Administration.
Third, by 'outing' Reid's behind-the-scenes maneuvering, FreedomWorks may well have foiled the entire scheme, which was entirely dependent on its sudden shock value.
Thus, for now, the healthcare bill is not up for a vote. But the Democratic leadership insists that it will be approved by Christmas.

RED ALERT! ObamaCare Vote Set for SATURDAY!
FreedomWorks is reporting that Harry Reid has canceled a special Senate meeting tomorrow in order to work on a reconciliation bill on healthcare between the House and the Senate.

Michelle Obama came out of hiding to delve into politics once again, this time giving a speech claiming that government-run healthcare is a 'women's issue.'
Have you ever noticed that each time Progressives wish to get the upper hand on an issue they claim 'women are being shortchanged,' and therefore government must do something to fix it?
At the present time in America women are probably getting better care than any of the identified 'minority' groups. Most hospitals have special programs just for women, such as birthing centers, mammogram programs, reproductive health, and the like. I don't notice these facilities providing 'men's health centers.'
I don't have a problem with any of this. I'm just saying that Michelle is creating a crisis where there clearly isn't one.

No matter. The provisions of the Waxman Committee bill in the House still amount to government-run healthcare, even without the public option.

A Scathing Response to Obama's Appeal to God
Barack Obama, in obvious desperation, has recruited Leftwing religious leaders to help promote ObamaCare.

It seems the great Barry-O lies every time he opens his mouth.
One lie he has repeated incessantly is that those who oppose his healthcare plan have no plan of their own.
Well, there is some truth to that, in a way. Actually there is not one but SIX alternative proposals, one of which is bipartisan and the other FIVE offered by the GOP.
Human Events brings us up to speed on the various proposals to fix the broken parts of the healthcare system without dismantling and destroying the entire thing.
