Obama Launches Attack on Conservative Talk Radio

We knew this was coming sooner or later, and it is happening without re-implementing the Fairness Doctrine.

Barack Obama has launched a full, frontal assault on conservative talk radio with the appointment of a 'Chief Diversity Officer' at the FCC--sort of like a 'radio content czar.'

Columbia Conservative Examiner has the details.

Montana Townhall Packed with Obamanoids

Did you happen to catch CBS News' report on the Barack Obama townhall meeting in Montana yesterday?

If you didn't, you missed a rare display of honest reporting from Couric and company.

CBS actually reported that the townhall meeting was packed with Obama supporters. They even described how they accomplished this feat, given that Obama has so much opposition in the state.

Attendees had to get a ticket to get in. And the Dems gathered long before the line opened in order to gobble up tickets ahead of anyone else.

Thus, most of the opponents of ObamaCare were forced to hold their protests down the street, in a designated area. Only a few opponents of the Obama healthcare plan could get into the arena, due to the 'Democrat-packing.'

So now you know the real story. And yes, I am still trying with all my might to keep from fainting just knowing that this entire thing was reported on the CBS Evening News.

Opening the Flood-Gates for the Next Election

From CNS NEWS:

At a joint press conference with Mexican President Felipe Calderon and the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper in Guadalajara, Mexico on Monday, President Barack Obama referred to American opponents of amnesty for illegal aliens as “demagogues.”

This is a clear signal that Barack Obama intends to pack the U.S. with immigrants from the south before the next election so that Democrats can keep their seats in Congress and so that he can win again in 2012.

I have never attempted to hide my opinion that U.S. immigration policy is chaotic, irrational, and raging out of control. And that is not to mention the obvious political motivation for having it this way.

We need to close our borders for a couple of years until we can clean up the mess and implement a sensible policy for immigration.

State-Run Media and the SPLC

Anyone who has read this blog over the past 3 and a half years knows how I feel about the 'Southern Poverty Law Center' of Alabama. It is a sham of an operation that engages in race-baiting hysteria and the systematic propagation of lies against conservatives.

Here is something that should heighten your interest:

Look, ABC is state-run media, just like Pravda in the Soviet Union. Back then, the juxtaposition of stories on the front page always meant something. If they put a story about CIA spies next to an innocuous one about a member of the Presidium visiting Africa, you just knew that next year, whatever else happened, that guy was NOT going to have his dacha by the lake anymore.

Likewise, as the empire crumbled, disaffected typesetters or editors could put stories next to each other that, taken together, presented information damaging to the regime.

So, what is ABC, or one of its employees, trying to tell us here?

MARK POTOK AND HIS BUDDIES AT SPLC ARE ALL CRANKHEADS!

Nothing could be plainer! What else can explain such deep-seated paranoia? SPLC has been jumping at illusory boogeymen for years, seeing "racist terrorists" where there were none, exaggerating their prowess and danger when there were, claiming that their natural enemies, such as those of us in the constitutional militia movement, were supposedly their friends. I mean, real nutjobbery.

For more read the entire post at Sipsy Street Irregulars. But be very careful. Your head might explode from laughing too hard before you finish reading the piece.

From a Reader...

A faithful reader of this blog sent me a copy of a letter he wrote to Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill on the ObamaCare debacle. He gave me permission to use it, and I decided I would.

I offer the letter without comment or response. It speaks for itself. And it represents the views of millions of us.

-----------------------

This is my response to Sen. MacCaskill on her appearance on The O'Reilly Factor where she said she asked people, at the town hall meeting, to raise their hands if they were on Medicare, then asked them to put down their hands if they wanted to see the program ended. She then used that example as public approval of government health care, even though they may say they do not want Health Care Reform as currently presented.

Letter to Claire MacCaskill 08/13/09- Disingenuousness about Medicare and Health Care Reform

You ignored one very important distinction in your example of Medicare recipients not wanting that program to be discontinued. They had no choice. Paying into the system was not voluntary. It was compelled by law. In many cases more than 50 years of collection for each worker. The bite is now about 20 percent, yeah, I know the employee part is a little less than eight per cent on the paycheck, but don't you think the empoyer's equal contribution affects wage rates?

Then a couple of decades ago, medicare was separated from the FICA taxes, not by diversion of already being collected funds, but by adding more percentage points of deduction from paychecks for employees or gross income from the small businessman. Not voluntary, so to insinuate that recipients of medicare are in favor of government-run health care is patently incorrect and may even be dishonest.

They had no choice about enrollment in the program. Now that they have reached the age where medical care is more likely to be needed and after decades of having the monies taken from them that they could have used to provide it for themselves, they have a right to expect that contract be honored. Now that it needs to be honored, the administration wants to reduce the likelihood of the cash cows receiving the benefits they were promised for their mandatory support of the system, since they are no longer producing. Even if it means they are denied the care their money has already been paid for.

Money that they could have used to provide health care or insurance for themselves, they have a right to expect that contract be honored.

So, cut the crap. You already know all this. Do not again equate governmental compulsion of citizens into a forced program with citizen approval of that government program. You must give people a choice before you can infer approval.

Not so respectfully,

Charles H. Sawders
Doddridge, Ar.

DNC, ACORN, SEIU Strategy to Bury Conservatives in 2010

The Obama-thugs are at it again, already planning a 50-state strategy to bury conservatives in the 2010 midterm elections.

Here is the strategy of intimidation, fraud, and organization.

Do we want more of the thugocracy we have already seen in the past 6 months from Obama's Chicago mob and their minions in Congress? I highly doubt it. But if we go to sleep at the wheel, they will pull off a coup just like they did in 2008.

Ordinary citizens need to make sure we have a strategy to stop them.

"David Olofson's Revenge"--Documents Related to ATF

It seems that David Olofson, the man targeted by the ATF for unjust and unusual punishment related to 'firearms violations,' can get at least some measure of revenge by 'this call for documents related to the ATF.'

Here is an excerpt from the article:

It happens that I was recently clued in to an excellent source on the ATF: the reports of the Congressional Research Service. These reports are available to every Congressman and Senator. Occasionally, the rest of us get to see them when they are leaked by one of the 635 elect or one of their staff.

Here is one from last year, leaked to the excellent website, WikiLeaks, which is an analysis of the ATF's budget and operations. There is another such annual report due now. It strikes me that this could be an excellent hobby for someone with connections to a congressional staffer -- download, print out, pdf file, post on the Internet and otherwise get these documents out into the public domain where they can be analyzed by experts in the Second Amendment community.

Click on the link above for other sources of inside information on the ATF.

It Takes a Strong Woman...

...to take off the gloves and go after Barack Obama head-on.

And this woman can do it like no other!

Why There Will Be No Sustained Economic Recovery

U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner asked Congress to increase the $12.1 trillion debt limit on Friday, saying it is "critically important" that they act in the next two months.

Mr. Geithner, in a letter to U.S. lawmakers, said that the Treasury projects that the current debt limit could be reached as early mid-October. Increasing the limit is important to instilling confidence in global investors, Mr. Geithner said.

The Treasury didn't request a specific increase in the letter.

As we have stated many times, no economic recovery can be sustained with the national debt and budget deficit being what they are under the Obama administration.

Geithner wants Congress to raise the debt limit from 12.1 Trillion Dollars to who-knows-what...which only confirms that Obama and company spend money like drunken juvenile delinquents who just stole a billionaire's credit card.

Read the whole thing here.
