2 special news alert items just came in concerning the Obama plan for a government takeover of healthcare.
Henry Waxman says a bill will be ready by Wednesday, and Pelosi says she will schedule a vote for Friday if this comes to fruition.
Second, secret negotiations have been occurring in a Senate panel concerning a compromise healthcare bill that both Democrats and RINOS can support.

Should Governor Sanford Resign?
With the New York Times calling for the resignation of South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, it is imperative that we consider some deeper issues at play.
For a more balanced perspective, read my latest at Columbia Conservative Examiner.
They who live in glass houses should cast no stones. And in this case we must remember that Sanford has been a stellar example of fiscal conservatism.

'A Note to Mr. Steele': SHUT UP!
Michelle Malkin has 'A Note to Michael Steele' concerning his untimely and poorly-chosen words in criticism of Rush Limbaugh and the GOP.
He even agreed with a commentator that the GOP Convention 'looked like Nazi Germany.'
Michael Steele is turning out to be one of the worst mistakes the GOP ever made in choosing an RNC head.
So, here is MY note to Mr. Steele: 'I don't know what you are, but you AIN'T a conservative! And we don't need you out running your mouth like the other RINOS who have run the Party into the ground. So, SHUT UP!'
The GOP is in disarray, but conservatives aren't. We are as united and determined as ever...to rid leadership posts of vermin who stand against every single principle that made the GOP into a viable alternative to liberalism. And if the GOP is insistent on continuing on this course, we most definitely will bolt and bid you good-bye.

RINO Support for Nationalization of Banks
RINOS, such as Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham, have stated that they may support a plan being considered to nationalize the nation's troubled banks.
And this is the subject of my column today at Columbia Conservative Examiner.
Apparently a plan is being considered in Congress that is modeled after 'the Swedish Plan,' which Barack Obama is said to support.
Socialism is on the march, my friends, but not without protest. You will find info about that too in my new column.
I encourage you to read it and spread the word. And thanks!

RINO McCain Pledges to 'Work With' Obama
Now that we are post-election, John McCain has appeared to return to his RINO ways by pledging to 'work with' Barack Obama during a special meeting between the two former rivals on Monday.
The pledge is a symptom of why McCain lost the election, and only confirms the suspicions of millions of conservatives around the country that McCain moved to the Right only out of political necessity.
'Republicans In Name Only' normally do not win national elections. And they certainly took a beating in this year's general election in the House and Senate.
McCain had plenty of opportunities to do what was necessary to win the election, but he consistently passed them up. Perhaps the reason is because in reality he is ideologically closer to Barack Obama than he is Sarah Palin.
But we shall see. We have not yet seen which path McCain will choose to follow in the Senate. If he intends to 'work with' Obama by supporting his Leftwing policies, then we will know he lied about being a conservative.
If, on the other hand, he helps Republicans block socialistic programs initiated by Obama, then we will know that working with the new President has stipulations and limitations.
We can only hope that McCain will not thwart conservative plans to derail the Obama onslaught of unbridled government growth and power.
