Swine Flu Hits Small South Carolina Town

All of these cases in South Carolina and around the nation have a direct Mexican connection.

Read all about it in my column today at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

America's 'Berlin Wall'?

Charlotte, NC (TLS). Mexico's President recently referred to the proposed Border Fence between his country and the U.S. as 'America's Berlin Wall.'

What an outrageously misguided, erroneous, and insulting comparison!

Anyone with even an elementary understanding of the nature of the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain knows that the notion of our Border Fence is not even slightly comparable to the Communist desire to keep their citizens from leaving a dark and evil regime. The Border Fence is intended to keep illegal aliens OUT. The Berlin Wall was designed to keep citizens of Communist East Berlin walled IN.

The demagoguery of the Mexican President is troubling in these unsettling days of Mexico's consorting with the U.S. Government to break our nation's clearly-written immigration laws. Our citizens are reaching a state of rebellion as they realize our government not only allows but ENCOURAGES its citizens to commit felonies by aiding and abetting illegal aliens.

Political commentator Paul Kengor highlights the deplorable comparison in this must-read from Political Mavens:

The Gonzalez News Conference

Charlotte, NC (TLS). U.S. Attorney-General Alberto Gonzalez gave a news conference Tuesday afternoon to answer charges by Democrats that the recent firing of a handful of U.S. Attorneys was politically motivated.

Leading the charge for the Democrats is 'Little Chucky' Schumer, who claims that Gonzalez fired the attorneys because they did not investigate charges of Democrat corruption in Congress.

It seems obvious that Little Chucky is treading on thin ice with these charges, given the present ethically-challenged Democrat leadership in the U.S. Congress. At least a dozen top Democrats are under a cloud of suspicion due to charges of corruption and the breaking of federal law. Some of these very Democrats chair major committees in Congress, such as John Conyers, Patrick Leahy, and even Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The fact that the crimes and misdemeanors of these and other Democrats in Congress were never adequately investigated by the Department of Justice, then yes, these U.S. Attorneys were not performing adequately and needed to be fired. In this regard, Gonzalez is 100% correct. Perhaps their replacements will get about the business of investigating the blatant disregard for the law, particularly on the part of those like Conyers, who broke federal campaign laws.

And this is precisely why Democrats are upset with the firings.

The real source of scandal within the U.S. Department of Justice surrounds U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, who interestingly was not fired. This is in spite of his vendetta against American law enforcement officials who wish to uphold the U.S. Code in apprehending law-breakers who enter the country illegally. Sutton's modus operandi toward law enforcement at the southern border is that if an officer does his job conscientiously in upholding federal law concerning illegal aliens, he/she can expect to be punished by Sutton by being hauled to court, tried, and found guilty, and then tossed into prison to serve lengthy sentences.

Two border patrol agents and at least four other lawmen in Texas have suffered under the oppressive, heavy hand of a U.S. Attorney who has turned his head to clear federal law in the U.S. Code concerning illegal aliens.

Yet in the Gonzalez massacre of U.S. Attorneys, Sutton was spared.

Remember, Sutton is a Bush crony in Texas. Not only that, but Bush has a tarnished track record when it comes to immigration. He has privately stated that America is not a place but a concept. It is only one small baby-step from there to embracing open borders. Sutton has certainly given the citizens of America and the government of Mexico the impression that open borders are already a reality, in spite of federal law to the contrary.

To be fair, Mr. Bush should have ordered Gonzalez to fire ALL U.S. Attorneys just as Bill Clinton did during the first days of his second term in office. But that is another story in and of itself.

On Tuesday of this week, Bush was in Mexico promising to the Mexican President that he would 'work very hard toward immigration reform legislation.'

That must have been music to the ears of the Mexican government and the thousands of law-breakers who wish to rape and plunder this nation without any risk of prosecution.

Ted Kennedy and John McCain have already sponsored legislation in the Senate that would, in effect, grant amnesty to illegal aliens, just like that, with one swipe of the pen. Mr. Bush's proposals are as close as one can get to an amnesty program without going quite as far as the Kennedy-McCain plan.

If the Democrats were truly smart, they would recognize that there IS a scandal of gargantuan proportions involving Sutton, the U.S. Justice Department, the Department of Homeland Security, Alberto Gonzalez, and the President himself. The only problem is that Democrats are co-conspirators in this particular scandal of subverting federal law and allowing the invasion of illegal aliens into this country unhindered. This is the reason you will not hear one peep out of Little Chucky Schumer about it.

Little Chucky and rest of his cohorts are scared to death that the new attorneys Gonzalez will hire will target the corrupt law-breakers who Chair committees in the new Democrat majority in Congress!

As for the Sutton-Homeland Security-Justice Department scandal, Gonzalez continues to pretend it does not exist, treating it as the white elephant sitting on the dining room table that everyone knows is there but no one is willing to acknowledge. The problem is that with the denial, the flesh-eating bacteria that this scandal poses only continues its ooze toward infecting the entirety of the Bush administration.

Government Helps Illegals Send Millions Back Home

Washington, DC (TLS). The Liberty Sphere has been closely monitoring the developments precipitated by Bank of America's announcement that it would offer credit cards to illegal aliens who have no Social Security number. It turns out that scores of banking institutions do the same thing, including Wells-Fargo, Citibank, J.P. Morgan/Chase, and others.

As it turns out, the federal government encourages such activity with the U.S. Treasury Department's guidelines that make it easy for illegal aliens within the U.S. to transfer money earned here back to Mexico.

According to U.S. House Representative Marsha Blackburn, R-TN, who serves on the House Financial Services Committee, illegals aliens have funneled millions of dollars back to Mexico through a special program offered by the U.S. Treasury Department. That money was never taxed.

Blackburn stated that it is time for investigations into the practices of the Treasury Department, as well as banking institutions that offer special programs to illegal aliens, in light of federal law that prohibits such activity.

The U.S. Code specifically states that aiding and abetting illegal aliens is a FELONY.

Section 8 of U.S. Code 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii) makes the aiding and abetting of illegal aliens a felony with a 6-year statute of limitations.

It is intriguing, to say the very least, that the U.S. Government has treated a FELONY with such a lackadaisical attitude that not only can countless U.S. companies get away with hiring illegal aliens but the federal government itself can aid and abet illegal aliens by failing to enforce immigration laws and by prosecuting law enforcement agents who attempt in good faith to enforce those laws.

Let's not forget that two U.S. Border Patrol Agents are rotting in prison because they dared to enforce immigration law against a known Mexican drug smuggler.

Increasingly lawmakers such as Marsha Blackburn are demanding to know how and why so many U.S. laws can be broken, including FELONIES, and yet to date no one has suffered the
consequences.

My friends, when the federal government consistently looks the other way while felonies are committed against this country by the aiding and abetting of illegal aliens, something is systemically wrong with our government. Up until now, the government apparently has counted on most citizens not caring. Increasingly they care very much. And you can rest assured the next election will exhibit the outrage most Americans feel about the trashing of our nation by illegal aliens and the government officials and companies that help them do it.

FLASH! Mexico Behind Border Patrol Hoax!

Washington, DC (TLS). The Border Patrol scandal, which resulted in two innocent officers being sent to prison for a dozen years, gets deeper and more sinister by the day. WorldNetDaily News, which first broke the story, has obtained documents showing beyond dispute that the Mexican government pushed for the prosecution of the two Border Patrol agents.

Are we surprised?

The thing that everyone knew but did not dare say has now been documented. U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton did the bidding of the Mexican Consulate in bringing charges against the two men. In addition, the Mexican Consulate also demanded that charges be brought against the County Sheriff in Texas, who was also involved in the incident at the border. Once again, Johnny Sutton did the bidding of the Mexican government and brought charges against the Sheriff as well.

U.S. House Representative John Culbertson, R-TX, once again expressed his outrage: 'We have long suspected Mexican government officials ordered the prosecution of our law enforcement agents. Mexico wants to intimidate our law enforcement into leaving our border unprotected, and now we have it in writing.'

Sadly, the Bush Administration, including the President himself, continues to be implicated in this sordid fiasco and travesty of American justice. The Administration has created a climate with Mexico that makes it very difficult for U.S. immigration laws to be properly enforced. Once again, America's soul continues to be sold to Mexico in the name of diplomacy and 'friendly relations.'

This isn't friendly anymore. Two innocent men were thrown into prison to rot because Bush administration officials cow-towed to Mexican government officials who want our borders left completely unprotected against law-breakers.

At his daily Press briefing yesterday, White House Press Secretary Tony Snow stated that he wished for 'cooler heads to prevail' in this case. Apparently Mr. Snow and the Administration do not realize that with each passing day more evidence emerges that makes 'cool heads' impossible. This is an outrage that needs an immediate solution by the President.

Johnny Sutton needs to go. Judge Kathleen Cardone needs to go. And at least a half-dozen or more personnel at the Department of Homeland Security need to go. Unless the President takes these necessary steps, including a Presidential pardon for the two Agents, this ugly scenario is going to explode into a full-scale scandal that will leave a dark stain on the Republic for years to come.
