BREAKING NEWS--PALN INQUIRES INTO DEADLINES IN EARLY VOTING STATES

Breaking news reported late this afternoon by Politico indicates that the Sarah Palin organization has initiated inquiries into declaration-for-candidacy deadlines in the early-voting states holding GOP primaries.
Ken Vogel and I both have sources telling us that calls were made on behalf of a mystery candidate to various early states to determine presidential filing deadlines.
The calls were made by representatives of the law firm Baker Hostetler - a firm that employs lawyer Mark Braden, who represents Sarah PAC, her political action committee.

Damaging Photos Surface--Obama Campaigns with New Black Panthers

As the Obama Administration reels from revelations of scandal in the Project Gunwalker case, damaging photos have surfaced within the last 24 hours showing Barack Obama campaigning with the New Black Panther Party.
The photos, taken in 2007 during the Presidential campaign, were obtained by Andrew Breitbart and posted on Pamela Geller’s Atlas Shrugs–one of the top blogs in the nation.

Said Geller:

There is no doubt in my mind that this is the reason why Obama's Department of Justice dropped the open and shut case against the Black Panther party when they threatened voters with weapons at Philly voting booths during the presidential election in 2008.

Breaking--Memos Contradict Holder's Testimony on Gunwalker

In a breaking development on the Project Gunwalker scandal (Operation Fast and Furious), CBS News reported moments ago that internal DOJ-ATF memos, emails, and documents contradict Attorney-General Eric Holder's testimony to Congress in which he stated he knew nothing about the illegal operation.
According to CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson, Holder received regular briefings on the scheme from the ATF and the National Drug Intelligence Center as far back as July of 2010:

More Evidence that U.S. 'Days of Rage' is a Leftwing, Marxist Trojan Horse

I have been saying all along that the 'Occupy Wall Street' stunt was born and bred within the wicked walls of Leftwing extremist dungeons and bent on destroying capitalism and American freedom. Under the guise of attempting to provide a corrective to big corporate abuses, the 'days of rage' are actually taken directly from the playbook of Bill Ayers who first staged such a stunt in Chicago in 1968.

The only difference between then and now is that the participants are aware that if they are cast as Leftwing extremists, then their Wall Street display will be a dismal failure. They want to appear 'moderate' and broad based. But an internal memo to participants has already blown their cover. This IS about the overthrow of capitalism and the U.S. Government that was prescribed by our Constitution. They admitted it. I have written about this at least twice in my column at the Examiner.

And now we have even more evidence. Demonstrators are now screaming for the reelection of Barack Obama--not surprising, given Obama's long-standing friendship and close association with the unrepentant, homegrown domestic Leftwing terrorist, Bill Ayers.

Yahoo-ABC News Axis Highlights Need for Independent News Outlets

Yahoo and ABC News announced today that they are forming a partnership in which news content, reporting sources, and video production will be mutually shared. The newly-formed axis highlights the need for independent news outlets in an era during which large mainstream media conglomerates are becoming larger and more pervasive, the consequence of which is greater domination of a single editorial point of view, which many say is biased toward Leftwing politics.
Part of the rationale for moving toward more of these mammoth conglomerates is money. It is no secret that the traditional news business in America is in deep trouble. Newspaper subscriptions continue to plummet. The evening news broadcasts by 'the big three'--ABC, CBS, and NBC--continue to lose viewers year to year. And in cable news, Fox is the only outlet that has managed to maintain its gains over the last decade, while CNN, MSNBC, and CNBC have experienced a dreadful decline.
Thus, part of the motivation for forming alliances is sheer survival. ABC News will benefit from Yahoo's money. And Yahoo will benefit, in its view, by positioning itself to produce a world-class news division on the strength of ABC News' long history in the business, as well as its seasoned, veteran reporters.
But the consequence of these alliances is that the bias of the mainstream media spreads to younger Internet companies such as Yahoo. And the trend is growing.

U.S.'Days of Rage' Heat Up in NYC

Police are clashing with protesters in New York City as the so-called 'days of rage' heat up. The protesters are part of a movement aimed at disrupting the major financial centers of the country, particularly Wall Street. Bank of America is one of the stated targets due to its standing as the largest bank in the nation.
In a tense confrontation on the Brooklyn Bridge yesterday, protesters clashed with New York City police officers who attempted to prevent the mob from marching across the bridge, which is currently undergoing a major overhaul. At least 700 protesters were arrested for disorderly conduct.
The mob was heard screaming obscenities at police and at times threatening violence against 'perpetrators of corporate greed,' in reference to large Wall Street banks that hold much of the debt with which many Americans are saddled.
In a display showing solidarity with the protesters, actress Roseanne Barr took to the airwaves claiming that bankers and 'the rich' who refuse to give up their wealth should be beheaded.

Pamela Geller: "This Makes Nixon and Watergate Look Like a Prank"

Nationally-known Fox News contributor, columnist, and blogger Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs has picked up the story of the Gunwalker scandal, stating today on her blog, "This makes Nixon and Watergate look like a prank."
Geller's comments came in response to the Obama Administration's release of certain selected records last evening, indicating numerous contacts between the former Agent-in-Charge of the ATF Phoenix Field Division and the White House.
The documents show that contrary to previous White House statements claiming that no one in the Executive Branch knew anything about the illegal scheme, also known as 'Operation Fast and Furious,' the White House was actually in constant contact with the alleged perpetrators of the scandal in the Phoenix Field Office.

And then tell me whether or not 'getting adjusted' is either possible or desirable.

Big Shakeup at ATF Underway?

Rumors are swirling today regarding a possible big shakeup at the ATF involving top management and agents down-line. One source suggests that the first phase of the shakeup may be underway as early as today.
In addition, other sources allege that as part of the shakeup, the DOJ may be looking at the elimination of the ATF entirely, assigning its function to the FBI.
These possibilities are in direct response to the monumental, historic scandal engulfing the DOJ, the ATF, the FBI, DHS, the State Department, and several other federal agencies. Project Gunwalker, or Operation Fast and Furious, has exploded onto the national stage as perhaps the biggest government scandal in U.S. history on the strength of its sheer scope and breadth, and its 'unintended consequence' of the murder of hundreds of Mexican citizens and at least one U.S. citizen--Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
The website CleanUpATF, which served as the earliest indication of deep corruption within the agency leading to citizen journalist Mike Vanderboegh's first article which broke the story of the scandal, is abuzz with speculation, some of which is coming from ATF insiders, indicating that the agency is under the gun and is slated for major change at the top.

National Conservative Examiner Exclusive--Martin Rating System for candidates

Before the campaign leading up to the 2008 Presidential election, this writer had determined to watch every debate, news conference, and interview with candidates in both Parties in order to rate them on issues of extreme importance to conservatives. However, there was no rating system by which to do so. The only course of action available, thus, was to develop my own unique instrument by which to gauge how closely the candidates adhered to conservative principles.
It was then that the Martin Rating System was born. The instrument was used to rate candidates in both Parties from 2007 until the general election in November of 2008. The system has also been used to rate the Republican Presidential candidates this year, and the results have been published here at National Conservative Examiner.
That tool will now be made available to you in this National Conservative Examiner exclusive.
You can use the system to do your own ratings of the candidates. The instrument is not scientific. The issues chosen by which to rate the candidates are decidedly conservative. And the ratings are entirely subjective based upon the individual user. The overall score a candidate receives is based solely upon the ratings you give them on the individual issues.
For example, you may determine that Ron Paul should receive a score of 10 on foreign policy. I may determine that he rates only a 3 on that issue. Thus, our overall scores on Ron Paul will be different. The score reflects our own individual perception of how a candidate performs on the issues.
How is this instrument helpful? It helps the user to see, on paper, how each candidate compares to the others, based upon our own unique perceptions. One may even be surprised that a candidate rates as well as they do. On the other hand, one may discover that their favorite candidate does not fare as well as we thought once we look at their performance based solely upon the scores they receive on the ten key issues.
Here's how it works...

Grassley on Gunwalker--"There's Something Sinister Going On"

In an interview with Greta Van Susteren on Fox News Monday evening, the contents of which is reported today by Seattle Gun Rights Examiner Dave Workman, Senator Charles Grassley stated with regard to the Gunwalker scandal,
There’s something sinister going on...They want to do everything they can to avoid this issue. They want to string us along. They want to stonewall us.
Grassley, R-Iowa, has been the point man in the U.S. Senate for the investigation into the Project Gunwalker scandal, also known as Operation Fast and Furious. Although Grassley's efforts have fallen on deaf ears given that the Senate is controlled by members of the Administration's own Party, that may be about to change, as reported in this breaking news article last evening.

Breaking--Next Gunwalker Hearing to be Held Jointly with House and Senate

In a breaking news alert that aired late last evening on television station ABC15 in Phoenix, Arizona, it was reported that the next Congressional hearing on the Project Gunwalker scandal (Operation Fast and Furious) will likely be held jointly with the Senate Judiciary Committee and Darrell Issa's House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Congressman Darrell Issa, Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and committee member, Rep. Paul Gosar, were in Phoenix over the weekend, talking to the ABC15 Investigators about the future of the controversial case, which involves the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
More hearings will come, they said. The next people called to testify will likely do so in front of both the House Judiciary Committee and the Oversight and Government Reform committee, jointly.

Gunwalker Bombshell 2--ATF Feared Early Reports of Scandal

In January of this year, nobody was paying attention when two lone reporters first broke the story of the Gunwalker scandal and began a series of disclosures that would eventually capture the attention of several mainstream news outlets. But ATF officials paid close attention. An internal ATF email from January 20 indicates that the agency feared early reports of the scandal.
National Gun Rights Examiner David Codrea had written an open letter on January 19, 2011 to the Senate Judiciary Committee informing them of the scandal. Codrea's intent was to alert the committee to the whistleblower status of ATF agents who had placed themselves in danger by disclosing the damaging information, and to urge the committee to arrange for their protection and launch a full investigation into their allegations.
The very next day on January 20, ATF Associate Chief Counsel Barry Orlo sent an internal email to the top management of the agency, informing them of Codrea's open letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee. A copy of the email can be found here.

Gunwalker Bombshell--"There Never Was a 'Sting'"

An ATF source has provided reporters a copy of a letter sent on June 1, 2010 which indicates that the monumental scandal known as 'Project Gunwalker,' or 'Operation Fast and Furious,' was never a sting operation as previously reported. If such an allegation is true, then the official Obama Administration explanation for the operation is entirely false.
The commonly-reported talking point concerning Gunwalker is that it was intended as a sting operation but that it went bad when rogue ATF agents took it in a sinister direction.
But the letter of June 2010, forwarded to reporters David Codrea and Mike Vanderboegh, indicates that nothing about the operation contained any of the elements of a 'sting.' Everything ATF agents did in placing guns into the hands of Mexican drug cartels was done in the open and with the approval of their supervisors:

Are Gun Haters Mentally Ill?

Although at least half of his work was later discredited by further research, psychiatric pioneer Sigmund Freud laid the foundation for much of what we know about the human psyche--that part of the brain out of which arises the deep emotional motivation for the actions we take. One of the terms Freud coined to describe one of those functions is 'projection.'
According to Freud and most practitioners of modern psychiatric medicine, projection is the process by which a person 'projects' onto another person their own motives, emotions, or intentions which they find to be too detestable or otherwise unacceptable to admit.
For example, suppose a member of a large family of siblings rose to forefront of the pack when their mother became terminally ill. This sibling had the time and the good health to care for the parent, providing around-the-clock care at a time when it was impossible or very difficult for the other siblings to do so.
At times in these cases, some families can grow vicious. Suppose, in this case, that a sister to the sibling who is providing the care stated the following: "She's up to no good. Just look at her. Doting over Mama like that. She's doing it only so she can manipulate Mama to change her will and give her most of the estate."

Special Prosecutor for Gunwalker Scandal to Come from Holder's DOJ?

Congressman Darrell Issa's committee in the U.S. House of Representatives, which is investigating the Project Gunwalker scandal, will hold at least two more hearings on the issue--one in October and another before the end of the year. The Congressman has stated that he wishes to appoint a special prosecutor but that he will not do so immediately, so that more evidence can be gathered. When the time comes for the prosecutor to be appointed, Issa faces a monumental problem--the attorney chosen to prosecute the case will come from Eric Holder's DOJ--the Department of Justice.
The DOJ is the very organization being investigated for possible criminal activity. To appoint a special prosecutor who normally is a U.S. Attorney working under the Attorney-General is tantamount to the DOJ prosecuting the DOJ--a scenario taylormade to insure that the cover-up is complete and that no one is held accountable.
Such a move would be akin to the Gambino crime family being chosen to prosecute John Gotti.

So, Who is the Real Conservative Here?

In the comment section of last night's article rating the Republican Presidential candidates following their Orlando debate on Fox News, there is this entry:
Please don't take this as any disrespect, I only mean to give some criticism and inspire debate, not tear you down as a person. The problem with posts like this is that there are so many differing definitions of what a conservative is and what a conservative isn't these days. In my own head, I think Paul and Johnson (my former governor) are at least even with Palin if not more conservative than she is, but others think they're only half conservative because they don't support the massive war spending that other conservatives do.
I think we have a problem of definition here, neoconservatives vs. paleoconservatives vs. RINOs, all claiming to be the real conservatives.
This reminds me of a certain cliche phrase about Slim Shady...
No offense taken.
The writer of the comment makes a valid point. There are various and sundry definitions of what constitutes a conservative, which create a certain amount of confusion for those who do not follow politics very closely.
That problem is complicated by the fact that so many faux conservatives routinely describe themselves as conservative, and the media establishment plays along. This has resulted in a watering down of the term to the point that it is close to becoming a gray nebulous blob that is difficult to grasp.
So, who IS the real conservative here? What, exactly, does that term mean, and more specifically, what does this writer mean when he uses the term?

Rating the GOP Candidates Following the Debate of 9/22/2011

For the first time since the ‘debate’ season began, all of the declared GOP candidates for President were a part of the Fox News-Google event in Orlando, Florida tonight.
Conspicuously absent was former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. An insider disclosed to this reporter last week that Palin is running but that she is determined to conduct an unconventional campaign on her own terms. Part of that includes waiting to ‘declare,’ believing as does this writer that the campaign season in American politics has become much too long–painfully so.

Such pathological obsession is great for pundits, the news media, and political junkies but laboriously tiresome for everyone else.

Based upon Palin’s many speeches, interviews, policy papers, and other sources, it is easy to rate her on the 10 key issues of utmost importance to conservatives, even before she has appeared in a debate. She is the most thoroughly vetted candidate in America in either party.

Thus, had Palin been a part of tonight’s event, she would receive a perfect score of ‘10' on the 10 key issues.

On to tonight’s conference.

Brett Baier is always a good choice for a moderator due to his ultimate sense of fairness. For the most part the questions posed by the panel were far superior to those posed in previous debates. And as panelists, none come any better than Chris Wallace and Megyn Kelly.
