The Blood of Patriots and Tyrants

Jefferson's reset button:

LIBERTY ALERT! Bill Gives 'O' Power to Shut Down Internet

Known as the 'Cybersecurity Act of 2009,' a bill has been introduced in the U.S. Senate that would give Barack Obama the power to shut down private Internet networks and Internet Service Providers.

Disguised as a 'security measure in the event of an cyber attack,' the legislation is being blasted by human rights advocates as an attempt by Obama and the Democrats to grab more power by simply shutting off access to information on the Internet when they deem it 'necessary.'

Read more about this stunning development here.

Could Someone Please Explain to Me...

...what the hell this Twitter hoop-la is all about? I signed up for it and use it because someone said that if you write for pay, it's good to get into 'social networking.'

But for the life of me I can't figure out what good it does. So far it seems it's just a plaything for the rich and famous to feed their narcissism. I mean, who the hell wants to know what somebody else is doing, minute by minute, except for stalkers?

Maybe I'm missing something here. If someone cares to enlighten me, I am open to being educated in the vast beneficial intricacies of Twitter...

Sheesh.

Getting Better, Feeling Worse

Adjusting to new meds can be an exercise in sheer masochism. Sometimes it seems the illness is better than the cure.

We have some preliminary results of tests, and I won't go any further than that. I do believe in at least some privacy, even for a writer.

While I make these adjustments I may be doing the minimum--the daily Roundup and the column at Columbia Conservative Examiner, the link to which I always post here. I will write more when I feel up to it.

Oh, I can get very cranky when on meds and when I don't feel good. Just FYI.

Thanks for your prayers, thoughts, and daily clicks on the links I provide to Columbia Conservative Examiner.

The Eyes Have It: A Personal Word to My Friends

Let me make this as short and to the point as I can.

Today I begin a journey that has been nearly a year in the making. My eyesight was attacked by a disorder of unknown origin. There have been times when I could not see what was written on the screen without a magnifying glass.

That part at least has greatly improved. But the underlying pathology is yet uncertain.

Today I will begin a protracted process to discover that underlying pathology. It will be costly and frightening, to be frank. While I do expect to discover the root cause of my malady, and thus receive a course of treatment that will keep it under control, I peer into that process with a certain amount of dread knowing that my financial status is woefully inadequate and my insurance is, well, non-existent (and no, I don't blame our healthcare system for it!!).

Nearly a year ago I disclosed to several fellow bloggers some of the details of my woes in case my eyesight failed entirely. They know who they are, and they were very willing to accept some of the responsibility for the Roundup should it be needed.

While I do not feel at this point that my sight will continue to deteriorate (in fact, it is greatly improved), I know that many of you will want to know what you can do to help.

And this is my point. The best thing you can do to help me is two-fold. First, you can pray for me, if you pray. Second, you can click on the links I provide to my daily column at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

You see, I get paid according to how many people read my column. That's the way it works at Examiner. The more readers I get, the more I get paid. It's as simple as that.

And it doesn't cost you a dime.

I don't ask for donations, I don't have a tip-jar, or anything like that. All I ask is that you click on the links each day to my daily column. And get others to do the same. This will be of tremendous help and encouragement.

And let me express to each of you who faithfully read this blog day in and day out how much you are valued and appreciated. It's good to know that out here in this dark and dangerous world there is a little band of bloggers and readers who are like-minded on the issues of human liberty.

Thank-you.

But there is more here, and there is some background info that brings it all into perspective.

And that is the subject of my column today at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

Be sure to click on the links I provide as 'Sources' at the end of the column!

I want to keep this story before the reading public, and you can help me tremendously by clicking on the link to my column above. Thanks!

ALERT! Obama Intimidates YouTube Blogger!

We told you this was going to happen.

We saw it during the campaign.

It is unrealistic to expect the pathologically thin-skinned Barack Obama to change his ways in such a short period of time.

Obama is now directly and personally engaging in intimidation tactics against his opponents on the Internet.

One great American patriot made a series of YouTube videos that are highly critical of Barack Obama's policies. So effective were those videos that they immediately attracted tons of traffic on the web.

But Barack Obama got a whiff that something unacceptable was afoot--a patriot who is adept at cyber technology used his skills to show the folly of Barack Obama.

Thus, Obama has personally invited the blogger to the White House to 'discuss the disturbing nature of the videos.'

Unbelievable! Click here to read the complete story.

This Is What 'National Socialism' Looks Like

By forcing out the CEO of General Motors, Barack Obama has provided the clearest signal yet that he is pushing the nation toward the Nazi-fascist concept of 'national socialism.'

This is without doubt one of the most dangerous things Obama has done to date.

Growing Talk of Civil Disobedience

Increasingly I am hearing those who would have never considered such a thing in the past talk about the possibility of civil disobedience during these unfortunate times under Barack Obama.

And this is the topic of my latest column at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

Patriots are considering any number of various possibilities as a means of getting the attention of the present government that is apparently out of touch with most Americans.

I strongly encourage you to read this article and pass it along to others. This is one of the most important issues facing us today as we seek to determine the best course of action to oppose the Obama plan to erode our Constitutional Republic.
