Known as the 'Cybersecurity Act of 2009,' a bill has been introduced in the U.S. Senate that would give Barack Obama the power to shut down private Internet networks and Internet Service Providers.
Disguised as a 'security measure in the event of an cyber attack,' the legislation is being blasted by human rights advocates as an attempt by Obama and the Democrats to grab more power by simply shutting off access to information on the Internet when they deem it 'necessary.'

Defenders of your library card will get right on this.
Drop by drop the Obama administration is washing liberty down the drain. Small individual steps, but a clearly visible threat is coming into view. And watch how legislation is now being passed. They are using 'reconciliation' to avoid any potential for filibuster. Obama and his allies in the House and Senate are able to pass legislation with no input and no votes from the opposition. We are just about at the point of one party rule. Now the choke hold is being applied to the press (newspaper bailout bill) and alternate communications with this dangerous bill.
And just wait till they complete the 2010 census. Then we will REALLY see the completion of the grand scheme.
