Excuses, excuses. The Obamanoids are full of them, particularly blaming George W. Bush for all of Obama's failures.

When Words Intentionally Deceive

Words are powerful, and they can be powerfully deceptive when one attaches new definitions to old terms without informing anyone of the change.

This is one of the 'changes' Obama has brought to Washington, and this is my subject today at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

The public thought they were getting something familiar when Obama used, and continues to use, words and phrases that have a commonly-accepted meaning. But Obama and company employ new definitions to old terms, thus deceiving the public.

It is a truism that politicians often play fast and loose with the truth. They answer questions vaguely, and dodge those they cannot tap dance around. However, the sheer scope of dishonesty exhibited by our current President is stunning. He seems to say almost the opposite of what he intends, and somehow he gets away with it. His huge, bloated debt package, designed to create the largest deficit in history is called a short term “Stimulus and job creation package’. Even the Congressional Budget Office warned before it was passed that the scope of debt created would shrink GDP within 5 years. He moaned that he had attempted to get bipartisan support, but was spurned by the opposition party, when in fact the bill was drafted entirely in secret, by the savagely partisan San Fran Nan, left wing Speaker of the House. The only cover they got was from routinely left wing RINO’s in the senate.

He gains support by pledging to give tax rebates to “95% of all Americans”. All the time he and his stooges are repeating this, he knows that fully 45% of Americans pay no taxes at all. What they are getting is, in fact, a handout, money transferred from those who work to pay their way and are the real support for the country.

In his address to the nation he characterises tax cuts this way:

“A surplus became an excuse to transfer wealth to the wealthy instead of an opportunity to invest in our future.”

Allowing those who have earned it to keep their own wages is not ‘transferring it to them”, it is simply forbearing the confiscation of their property. As for ‘investing in our future’ that is the new way to attempt to disguise government spending. When people like the Great and Powerful Obama, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid decide they know best how to spend money, they confiscate it and call it an investment. The largest deficit,combined with the highest government debt load in history seems pretty far away from what anyone would call an investment.

Now he has announced that he will withdraw all U.S. forces in Iraq by a “Date Certain” in August of 2010. Except he will not pull all troops out by then, and of course he might not do what he promises if the situation changes and he decides not to do what he said he will do. Set aside the honesty issue here. If I were an Iranian funded Shiite ‘freedom fighter’ seeking to impose my way on the rest of Iraq, (think Moqtada al-Sadr) I would now pull back. Maybe I’d open a food store, or sell flowers. Fill the back room with inventory, and as many weapons as I could hide. The Great and Powerful Obama says he has done what he can, and orders all combat forces out. Once the U.S. troops are gone, simply hand the guns and RPG’s to my Iranian trained militia, and start the destruction again. Then say since there are no Americans to oppose me, I am the new sheriff in town, and install a de facto Iranian allied regime.

President Obama says, in front of the cameras, the nice words his pollsters have determined the American people want to hear. He knows that those who will be receiving a gift from the taxpaying suckers will not care what he says. The dimwits who get their news from the Daily Show, and the Tonight Show will hear the feel good plattitudes and think he’s just a nice guy trying to help.

Those who pay the bills this administration is running up will hold on for as long as they can. But make no mistake, the bill WILL come due. And all of America will be on the hook to settle the tab. Unless people can recognize the danger his lying words are steering us into we will all face a backlash worse than anything this country has seen in generations.

As people begin to see the results of this “Change” imposed upon our nation by these increasingly deceptive people they will have few choices. The class envy which is the foundation of his economic platform may likely turn ugly. As those who carry more and more of the burden find that they are increasingly unable to provide for themselves and the rest of the confiscatory scheme, many will simply find ways to opt out. Business owners will find it necessary to shrink. This will entail more and more job cuts, not the job growth promised by the Great and Powerful Obama. Many who have entered the realm of what the government deems ” Wealthiest Americans” will find ways to scale back their earnings enough to escape the punitive taxes imposed on their income. Rather than generate higher treasury funds, we will see tax revenue decrease in real dollar terms. The resultant deficits will explode into even more unimaginable figures. The alternatives will be to eliminate the programs which got him in power, or shift more taxes onto more Americans. Either choice will result in anger from those who put him there. Will the resultant “Catastrophe” then engender ‘emergency powers’ of the administration? We will have to see. This administration has already shown an amazing disdain for the constitution when it is politically inconvenient. The U.S. census has been moved from control of the Commerce department to direct control by the White House. Congress has moved swiftly to provide a congressional representative with voting authority for DC, long a priority of the Democrat party, and a campaign pledge of Obama. Part of his economic agenda is the ‘Cramdown” legislation, which will grant authority to bankruptcy judges to unilaterally alter terms, principal and interest on valid mortgage contracts.

The provisions for the census are spelled out in US code, title 13, chapter 1. The administration cannot abrogate this. this is Unconstitutional.

Article 1, section 10 of the constitution prohibits any “law impairing the obligation of contracts”. Once again, this is unconstitutional.

The qualifications for membership in the House of Representatives states: a member of the house MUST be an inhabitant of that state in which he shall be chosen. Article 1, section 2.

The Federal District is established in article 1, section 8. this establishes a federally controlled district, which is specifically NOT a state. to provide, by statute for a voting representative in the House is, once again Unconstitutional.

For matters of power and political expediency this administration has shown, in a very short time, a remarkable willingness to ignore and jettison restrictions imposed by the Constitution. The level of mendacity is stunning, even by the standards of DC politics. The creation of, and political use for crisis and urgency should cause anyone paying attention to wonder just where it will stop. The first month under the guidance and administration of the Great and Powerful Obama has proved enlightening and frightening. I fear it will get worse!

He Lied Right Out of the Starting Gate

In Barack Obama's very first prime-time news conference as President, he lied right out of the starting gate.

Continuing with the false mantra that 'we face the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression,' Obama attempted once again to scare the American public, and Congress, into accepting without question his trillion-dollar stimulus package.

I remember the Presidency of Jimmy Carter very well. That was 1976-1981. The financial fiasco of those years led to a landslide victory over Carter by Ronald Reagan.

As one of the ones who suffered personally through the Carter years, I can tell you with the authority of one who has been there that what we are now experiencing is clearly NOT the worst since the Great Depression. I remember long gasoline lines due to shortages. I remember gasoline prices rising from roughly .44 cents per gallon to over $1.00 per gallon. I remember inflation running at 13%, as compared to a meager 5-6% today. I remember interest rates at 24% as compared to 4-5% today. And, I remember unemployment rising to 11% as compared to 7-8% today.

So, don't tell me that what we are presently experiencing is 'the worst since the Great Depression.' If you say that, I immediately know you are a liar of the worst sort, which is what our illustrious 'President' truly is.

Following Obama's barefaced lies right out of the starting gate in his news conference, I tuned him out for the rest of the way except to note his demeanor and performance. Personally I am not interested in listening to the words of a known and proven liar.

Obama Cuts Off Reporter, Lies About Senate Seat

In a rare moment of true journalism in today's world, a reporter asked Barack Obama a question that gets to the heart of the issue of the vacant Senate seat-Blagojevich-Emanual scandal: Obama's lies.

Obama stated early on that he was going to take a 'hands off' approach to the choice of his replacement in the Senate, yet proceeded to talk directly to Blagojevich about the choice, and then word came today that his chief of staff Rahm Emanuel talked to Blago 21 times about the seat.

Somebody, obviously, in addition Blagojevich is not being truthful here.

The truth must hurt. The video below shows Obama cutting off the reporter's question, lecturing him about 'not wasting his question.' Obama is clearly irked.

More Lies by Obama on Taxes

In order to deflect criticism of his plans to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire in 2010, thus creating the largest single tax increase in U.S. history, Barack Obama persistently states that those tax cuts did nothing for the middle class and working poor.

FACT CHECK! That statement is a lie.

The fact is that an across-the-board tax cut, which characterized both of Bush's major tax cuts during his 8 years in office, put money back in the pockets of ALL taxpaying citizens.

Every working American who pays taxes got a tax rebate check from the IRS, unless they had prior tax issues such as a lien.

Yet Obama will allow those cuts to expire if elected, with the help of the other 2 ominous characters in his 'evil triumvirate,' Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

That will mean that without doing anything at all to sign new legislation, Obama will see to it that you will automatically owe back to the government whatever you got in those 2 tax cut stimulus checks you received over the last 8 years.

For a struggling, working-class family of four, for example, that could cost them up to $1200 or more in more taxes under the Obama plan.

She Made It All Up! Is She An Obama-Plant?

It turns out that the 20-year-old woman in Pennsylvania who claimed she was attacked, robbed, and mutilated by an Obama supporter who was angry over her McCain-Palin bumper stickers made up the whole story.

Michelle Malkin was the first to alert us to the possibility of a hoax.

The incident begs the question, however, why would a young woman who was supposedly working for the McCain campaign attempt such a shoddy job at a hoax?

Evidence at the scene did not corroborate her story. The 'B' etched in her cheek was backwards, indicating it was self-inflicted.

Outside the normal explanations of seeking 15 minutes of fame, a delusional state of mind, or some other emotional disorder, do not count out the possibility of campaign dirty tricks.

Candidates have been known for centuries for planting insiders in opponents' campaigns in order not only to spy and obtain information but to foil the 'enemy' to make them look bad.

And, as much corruption as we have seen from the Obama campaign in this election, the questions are valid--did the Obama campaign pay off this woman, and was she an Obama plant?

Shocking New Info Surfaces on ACORN-Obama

As more digging ensues into the origin, background, and initial goals of the group ACORN, the more it becomes clear that the group was never a voter registration organization.

Shocking new information has surfaced showing Barack Obama's ties to the group's origin and the fact that the group was actually part of something called 'The New Party' in Chicago, of which Obama himself was also a part.

The New Party worked diligently to avoid any possible association with Socialists, although it drew 100% of its ideology from them. It's idea of redistribution of wealth traces its roots back to Karl Marx.

ACORN's involvement with Barack Obama's early political career and its support of The New Party clearly shows that the organization has always been a partisan political endeavor that fronts itself as a 'voter registration organization' for one purpose only--to perpetrate fraud and steal an election.

The 'Transformation Figure' that Mortifies

The great modern General Colin Powell, who will throw his friendships, associations, and country under the bus in order to support Barack Obama, referred to the 'emperor-in-waiting' as a 'transformational figure.'

But as Roger Kimball (h/t to Instapundit) says, 'We don't know the half of it!'

Apparently this 'transformational figure' that the media and liberals have already proclaimed as our next emperor will bring about 'the change that mortifies.'

It will be the death of free markets, the death of the strength of America, the death of prosperity, and the death of freedom.

An Obama Presidency will most definitely be a case of killing the patient to treat an ingrown toenail.

ACORN Ads Show Group Works for Obama

In an explosive revelation concerning the supposed 'non-partisan' voter registration group for the 'underprivileged,' ACORN's own advertising dating back to February of 2008 shows that the group was seeking to hire 'canvassers to help Obama.'

Widespread, nationwide voter fraud is thus back in the top of the headlines.

Persistently during this campaign, Obama has distanced himself from ACORN, claiming neither he nor his staff have any connection to the group's activities.

In like manner, ACORN has also denied any connections to partisan politics, citing their only goal is to register the underprivileged to vote.

As it turns out, not only has Obama given $800,000 to ACORN, but ACORN has openly advertised itself as a 'canvassing group for Obama.'

As The Liberty Sphere has repeatedly stated, this is a clear violation of federal law, and those involved could well be charged with felonies once the FBI's investigation is complete...and that includes Chairman Ba-O.
