If I had any doubt that the vitriolic hatred of Sarah Palin is driven by abject fear, those doubts are now totally obliterated.
Read the latest at Columbia Conservative Examiner.
It is one thing to intellectually question Palin's suitability for national office. It is quite another to engage in the over-the-top character-assassination designed to destroy her and her family.

Sarah Palin--'Life on the Rogue'
Now that Sarah Palin has hit the road to promote her new book, 'Going Rogue,' Front Page Magazine takes an in-depth look at Palin, providing a balanced view of her strengths and weaknesses.
I discuss the article, as well as Palin's value to the political scene, in my column today at Columbia Conservative Examiner.
We can often tell a lot about the value or lack of value of a potential candidate by who lines up against him/her. I hope you find the article thought-provoking.

Sexist Newsweek Cover on Palin Defended by 'Feminist' Editor
Newsweek featured Sarah Palin on the cover dressed in short shorts. Palin cries foul and charges sexism. Newsweek, of course, defends itself...in the words of its own hyper-feminist editor.
Newsbusters has the story. And I thought it was the feminists who defended women against sexism...

PALIN!
Not a single politically aware person does not remember John McCain’s surprise announcement of Sarah Palin as his running mate on August 29, 2008. The Democrat National Convention was wrapping up, Obama had made his grand speech, but all the political world was abuzz over the impending selection of Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty as McCain’s running mate. The surprise and expertly choreographed announcement of Sarah Palin was one of a few grand McCain campaign moments.
One year later, Sarah Palin continues to be a top news maker and symbol of hope for many conservatives. Yet her reputation was damaged by the manner in which the McCain campaign handled her rise from obscurity.
I make no attempt to hide that I am a Palin fan. And I hope she can bring conservatives of all stripes together to topple the Obama regime.

Way Up North, as an Alaskan, posts some thoughts concerning Governor Palin's resignation.
Conservative Libertarian Outpost presents a shocking piece concerning the Latinos and their threat to the U.S., as depicted in their celebration of 'The FARCE of July'!
Codrea's Gun Rights Examiner points to a Republican weasel who is opposed to concealed carry. Yes, my friends, they are in the GOP too...like Mitt Romney, for example.

Insight on Freedom says that Americans are continuing to arm themselves in record numbers.
The Rustmeister notes that a sports writer used the death of NFL star Steve McNair as an opportunity to go on an anti-gun rant.
Notoriously Conservative has interesting reading on a car that costs only 600 bucks and gets 258 miles per gallon. It's made by a German company but it's sold only in China.

Tam wonders about whether a certain gun is more 'patriotic' than the rest.

Robb Allen shares a list of some gun stuff he needs. Take a look at the list--there are some things there we all need to make sure we have.

John Jacob H reports that citizens in the small town of Gaffney, SC have started their own 'run on the gun stores' in light of a serial killer on the loose who has murdered 5 in the past 2 weeks. Gaffney is a small town in a sparsely-populated county. Naturally, something like this will cause quite a stir, more so than in large cities.
Pax Parabellum has a VERY important warning for America that arose out of his observations of what's happening 'across the pond.'
From Mike Vanderboegh: 'The Rule of Law is Dead, but the Rule of Man Should Take No Comfort from It.'

Time to Stop Ashley Juggs...Err, Judd!
What do you do when you are a female with no brain but 2 fairly nice 'jugs'? You go to Hollywood, memorize somebody else's words, and star in stupid movies...and probably join some fringe-element environmental or animal rights group.
This is precisely the life-story of Ashley Juggs...err, I mean, Judd.
Judd stated on Thursday that 'It's time to stop Sarah Palin.'
It seems that Ms. Judd had her bra in a knot and panties in a wad over some practices in Alaska that result in some wild animals being killed. And she is part of a fringe-element animals rights group in Washington that has some pretty kooky ideas.
Sarah Palin, it seems, has become their target.
So Judd goes out and blasts Governor Palin--because, well, she is a conservative, a hunter, a gun rights activist, and basically an all-around normal human being.
Which is more than we can say for the kooky Juggs....

Letter from Sarah Palin
From Governor Sarah Palin to all members of her new PAC, SarahPAC.com:
Be sure to visit the website of SarahPAC at www.SarahPAC.com. It is not too early to begin thinking about the 2012 Presidential election. Governor Palin represents perhaps the best hope conservatives have of regaining the White House.
Dear Supporter,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for joining SarahPAC. What a week it has been! Thanks to supporters like you we have had a fabulous start.
I want you to know that I have been truly touched by your notes of support and encouragement and look forward to working with you all in the future to advance our shared ideas and goals. These are just a few of the touching notes I've received from you:
Don from Juneau, AK: "I joined the PAC, and I'm willing to help in any way I can. I firmly believe you are exactly what this country needs, more so now than ever. Go Sarah!"
Cindy from St. Louis, MO: "My husband and I signed up for the PAC this morning. We are thrilled and behind you 100%! We will help any way we can."
Dee from Nashville, TN: "Be courageous! Be strong! Be bold! Don't quit. Thanks for all you've done, there are many of us praying for you daily!"
As a nation, we face serious challenges ahead. Our country is far too dependent on foreign sources of energy. Greed and corruption have broken the public's faith in our economic system.
By speaking out, proposing new policies, and working together, I believe we can ensure that America's best days are ahead of us. And this is what we will accomplish together through SarahPAC.
That is why I hope you will continue to support SarahPAC by encouraging your friends, family, and colleagues to visit our website, www.SarahPAC.com to sign up for updates. With your help, I'll be able to speak out. And you know I will speak for you.
Please stay tuned for more information and updates- I'll be in touch with you soon about more ways to help our PAC.
With an Alaskan heart,
Sarah
P.S. I'm counting on you to spread the word to your friends about SarahPAC. Please tell them to sign up for email updates at www.SarahPAC.com and visit my official Facebook page to share your thoughts and comments. Thank you!

MSNBC Blasts Palin Again
Even after openly admitting that it actively promoted Barack Obama for President during its supposed 'objective' news broadcasts, MSNBC has blasted Sarah Palin yet again.
As if the campaign trash the network threw at the public concerning Palin and her family weren't enough, an MSNBC anchor stated yesterday that 'Palin is unqualified.'
How so? By whose standard?
Oh, you mean according to the standard of a network that is owned by a company that was promised bailout money by the Obama team if it would help get the candidate elected?
The statement took place as the anchor was interviewing the filmmaker who is releasing a documentary on Palin in late February entitled, 'Media Malpractice.'
Instead of 'the UNfairness Doctrine' in news reporting, I support what I call the 'Justice Doctrine.' The only way the American public can get justice with regard to a blatantly biased mainstream media is to shut down MSNBC, ABC, NBC, ABC, and CNN...along with the NYT, WaPO, and Newsweek.

Sarah Palin Speaks Out on 'Media Malpractice'
In a new documentary film to be released in late February entitled, 'Media Malpractice,' Sarah Palin takes aim at the mainstream media over the manner in which her candidacy was handled.
Palin blasts Katie Couric, and rightly so, for a deft 'cut-and-paste' job in the interviews she did for CBS News, which left Palin looking very different than the Sarah Palin everyone knows and loves.
Apparently Couric and company left out a ton of material that would have shown a much different--and positive--picture of Palin than the one that was aired.
But then, we told you that right here on The Liberty Sphere. Couric is a hack, a lightweight, a sorry excuse for a serious reporter. The same can be said for her counterparts at NBC and ABC.
Palin goes further to talk about media hypocrisy--another issue we talk about quite a bit here at The Liberty Sphere.
When Barack Obama, for example, requested of the media that they consider his child to be off-limits, they gladly complied. But Palin? Her children have been dragged through the mud as if they were scum of the earth.
According to statements actually made in the mainstream media, Palin is not the mother of Trig, Trig should have been aborted, Palin's daughter is trash because she became pregnant out of wedlock, Palin and her husband are awful parents because as Christians they should not have raised a daughter who became pregnant out of wedlock, and other such outrageous displays of the lack of journalistic integrity.
The Leftwing in this country, of which Democrats, the mainstream media, environmentalist wackos, and others are a part, have so many double-standards that one's head begins to spin.
And in this election in particular, that double-standard was multiplied by 10 for one single-minded purpose--to get Barack Obama elected to the Presidency.
Well, Palin will have her revenge once the documentary is released. And it will be long overdue.
For more information about the documentary and its filmmaker, click here for a special report from Andrew Breitbart.

Second Amendment News Roundup for 1/5/09
Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:
Sipsy Street Irregulars has a timely reminder on the Holder nomination for AG.
Guess who's buying IndyMac!? Pamela Geller reports that it is THIS familiar face who is notorious for creating havoc in speculative markets so he can pick up the pieces at cut-rate prices. This is how he's made his billions, the bastard.
Gun Rights Examiner: 'Holder: To Be or Not to Be' by David Codrea.
Codrea comments on the Obamination's boneheaded prescription for a troubled economy.
There is absolutely no doubt that Al Franken and the Democratic Party in Minnesota outright stole the election from Norm Coleman. Michelle Malkin writes today about the clown that is set to take a seat in this joke of a Congress.
One thing's for sure--this joke of a Congress is no joke when it comes to attacking gun rights. Sebastian muses that we must be ready to defend ourselves from whatever direction they attack us.
Nicki shows us an example of what defines the word 'insanity.'
Armed and Safe gives us the latest indescribably boneheaded blather emanating from the Violence Policy Center.
JR posts some information of interest on a Colt auction. Take a look!
Pax Parabellum posts the question he submitted to the RNC debate on the selection of the new GOP chairmanship. It's a good one!
Say Uncle reports that Democratic insiders on Capitol Hill are intent on payback when it comes to guns. They intend to punish the GOP for pushing gun rights and will initiate a new assault weapons ban.
Robb Allen adds his commentary to this issue. It's gonna be a rough ride, folks.
Syd has a must-read on the wheel gun from Gabe Suarez.
Blogonomicon shares a great post on the 1936 classic on Patrick Henry, entitled, 'Give Me Liberty.'
Tam comments on the Bush Derangement Syndrome, along with a few appropriate quips about Clinton Derangement Syndrome.
Traction Control believes Obama may be moving to the right of the current administration on some issues. I hope he's right, but I have my doubts about that.
Breda says that it takes quite a woman to be man of the year.
Days of our Trailers has info on two new forums for gun owners.
Texas Fred announces the formation of the United States Gun Owners Association.
Insight on Freedom wonders if Afghanistan will be Obama's Viet Nam.
Bloviating Zeppelin provides must-read commentary on the ground war in Gaza.
An Ol' Broad's Ramblings has today's edition of 'Obamarama.'

HEADLINES FROM THE ISRAELI-GAZA FRONT
Israel vowed to continue its attacks on Gaza even in the wake of heavy criticism for the death of one of the leaders of Hamas. In fact, Israel has intensified its offensive, according to a report in The Jerusalem Post.
Even so, the Post published an analysis written by David Horovitz which suggests Israel is on the brink of making the same mistake it did in 2006 in The Second Lebanon War.
Israel has a history of making a strong start in its retaliatory responses to Islamic terrorists all around it. It also has an ominous history of losing its resolve early on in the face of world criticism and gradually waning support from its closest friends.
Related to that issue, the Post points to the intense battle for public opinion currently being waged on America's streets.
If Israel makes the mistake once again of retreating before the job is done, it may not have a chance to render its enemies impotent ever again. Each time Israel retreats, Hamas and Hezbollah grow stronger.
This is not good for Israel, America, or the world.
The danger that these Islamic terrorist organizations pose to American interests is highlighted here.
A bit of good news for Sarah Palin fans, such as myself--Governor Palin has shown solidarity with our Jewish friends by attending a Chanukah celebration in Anchorage, during which she lit a candle in memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks in India.
I agree with Pamela Geller...this woman has guts. I can't wait for her to run against the Obamination in 2012.

*About That Virginia Tech Gun Ban
Roberta X shares some interesting thoughts on governments. It's worth reading.
HERE is a follow-up to the story of the JBT raid of a food co-op in Ohio. It seems the directors of the co-op are fighting back. Good!
From Gateway Pundit:
*Christmas was declared a holiday in Iraq for the very first time.
*EU urges Arab gov'ts to allow Christian churches
*Blago's lawyers want Obama aides to testify before House impeachment committee
From Sipsey Street Irregulars:

*An excellent review of the movie 'Valkyrie'
*Interesting post on the usefulness of supposedly 'obsolete' weapons
Caroline Glick, Middle East expert and internationally-renown journalist, now has her own TV show on Pajamas Media TV. Take a look for details.
Pax Parabellum has a stunning must-read on Timothy McVeigh and Obama-pal Bill Ayers. So, what's the difference between McVeigh and Ayers? Apparently nothing!
Breda blogs on the many good things that happened all over Iraq during the year.
The Wandering Minstrel says that gun signs can be seen all over Arizona--a stark contrast to California. He also has a photo.
LOL! Texas Fred reports that Sarah Palin has proclaimed the official end of Christmas for 2008, and he has the photo to prove it!
Walls of the City has a fitting tribute to President Bush for those qualities in a human being that are often overlooked.
Days of Our Trailers blogs on 'the gift that keeps on giving'...sort of like herpes.
Conservative Libertarian Outpost says it's time for conservatives to get their revenge on the liberal media, and the Media Research Center has obliged...the 2008 goofiest MSM quotes of the year.
Michelle Malkin provides today's update on the never-ending bailout march.
News you won't find anywhere else. Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs presents the whole truth on the Islamic terrorist attack in India. What they did to the Rabbi and his wife is simply barbaric. Warning! Post and pictures not for the faint of heart!
