For Freedom's Sake, Pig Out on Krispy Kremes

Never being one who passes up a good opportunity to be politically incorrect, I headed out this evening to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, bought two dozen hot original glazed, came back home and pigged out.

For those who may be unfamiliar with these wonderful delicacies, when Krispy Kreme shops are in the midst of making a batch of fresh original glazed doughnuts, they put the 'hot' sign on outside, meaning that if you purchase them while that sign is on, you will be treated to the very best hot and fresh doughnuts on earth, the glazed 'Krispy Kremes.'

And they will melt in your mouth.

I ate half a dozen of them driving back home. And I'm not saying how many I ate once I got home. But it was wonderful, and I had a good time.

But the joy of the taste of these heavenly delicacies only barely surpassed the joy of doing something the food police, Big Brother, the government school system, and other wacko activists consider to be a big no-no.

It was almost as if with every bite I got up into their elitist, holier-than-thou faces and said, 'Take that, you Commie!'

In the United States of America today, that former bastion of individual freedom, there are forces on every hand that try to dictate to us what to eat, what not to eat, what to drive, what type of fuel to use, what temp to set our thermostats on, not to mention what to think and feel.

They will also tell you that you cannot pack certain food items into your kids' lunch containers, that you are forbidden to smoke even in your own home (in some areas), and that you are not allowed to carry tools to defend yourselves against thugs in shopping malls and on college campuses who ARE carrying those tools.

I am tired of it--SICK and tired of it, as a matter of fact. And thus, I will from now on take every opportunity to blow smoke into the faces of the food and tobacco police, and all of the other operatives of the nanny state.

I will not eat anything except what I want to eat, period. I will smoke wherever I please, except when it bothers those with breathing problems. I will slip doughnuts and cookies into the lunch containers of my children and grandchildren. I am going to continue to drive half-ton pickup trucks.

Back to the Krispy Kremes. The word is that this Winston-Salem, North Carolina company is in financial trouble due to the emphasis on 'politically correct eating,' as well as heavy competition from Dunkin Donuts, which, in our opinion, is nowhere near the quality and taste of Krispy Kreme.

Thus, every chance I get I am going to buy some Krispy Kremes. And I am going to enjoy them without guilt.

Let the food police go straight to hell.

Holocaust No Longer Taught in U.K. Schools

Washington, DC (TLS). Are you prepared for yet another story that will get your blood boiling? Look no further than Great Britain, where school teachers are deciding not to teach about the Holocaust for the fear of 'upsetting' Muslims.

For decades the Holocaust was considered one of those absolutes in education--an incident in history that MUST be taught so as to provide a constant reminder that even the most civil of societies can turn barbaric when collectivism becomes the norm, particularly when that collectivist society has decided that certain groups of human beings are deemed to be lacking in any inherent value.

No wonder Jews are increasingly afraid to live in Europe.

But this is not all. These particular teachers in England have also decided not to teach about the Crusades. The reason? They have a real fear that teaching about the circumstances leading up to the Crusades (Muslim barbarism) will incite Muslim students to violence.

My friends, this is what political correctness is doing to education and to entire societies. It is nothing less than an outrage.

Why British Hostages Failed to Defend Themselves

Washington, DC (TLS). The Liberty Sphere has made no attempt to hide our utter disdain of the Iranian low-lives who took the British soldiers captive. We believe that a decisive, devastating military response from the West is essential.

However, we must also shine the spotlight on the failure of the British soldiers to defend themselves. Rather than fire on their captors, they caved.

There is only one reason for this. The politically-correct Leftists who run British society and who are working overtime to run America have made it unacceptable for a soldier to fire upon the enemy. If they do, they may face court-martial if an enemy dies.

This is precisely what happened in Viet Nam, and it is the reason we lost. As President Ronald Reagan courageously observed, 'The brave men and woman who served in Viet Nam should not take the fall for losing a war that the politicians in Washington would not let them win.'

The rules of engagement under which the West operates in Wartime these days is a joke. Only under limited conditions can a soldier return hostile fire or use force to defend themselves against an operation such as an Iranian hostage-siege.

This is entirely unacceptable and is the result of years of politically-correct balderdash emanating from certain politicians and unelected government officials.

Historic Jamestown 'Celebration' Banned

Charlotte, NC (TLS). The 400th anniversary of the founding of the Jamestown settlement, 13 years before the landing of the Pilgrims at Plymouth Rock, cannot be referred to as a 'celebration' but as an 'invasion,' according to event organizer Mary Wade and the other members of the 'Jamestown 2007 Organizing Committee.'

Event organizers refer to the historic founding of the settlement as a 'holocaust.'

And that has some experts in history upset, since the advent of Jamestown provided what later became the United States with important introductions to Christian common law, a republican representative government, the first Protestant Christian worship service, and its first interracial marriage.

But, the 'pc' police, as usual, has rained on the parade of normal, uniquely American celebrations. Apparently, none of the great accomplishments listed above can be celebrated.

Is it just me, or is it fairly obvious that every single time someone in America sets out to celebrate freedom, human progress in liberty, Constitutional representative government, and the like, the politically correct crowd finds a way to crash the party and turn it into a downer...another reason to lament over our supposed 'collective guilt.'

I have a message to the Jamestown 2007 organizers--you are an embarrassment to your country and to the founders of the settlement.

Ann Coulter Fires Back

Washington, DC (TLS). Under fire for supposedly using the term 'faggot' to refer to Democrat Presidential hopeful John Edwards, Ann Coulter has fired back at her critics. Stating that if the top Presidential contenders in either Party feel they must apologize for every remark she makes, then 'they better keep that statement handy cause there's going to be a lot more in the next year.'

The 'speech and thought' police in America and in Western Europe is actually a totalitarian coalition. If they can silence free speech, and even invade our thought processes, scouring for every single vestige of 'forbidden feelings and points of view,' then they will have succeeded in creating a totalitarian society where human liberty is a thing of the past, without going to war or firing a single shot.

Ann Coulter has the right IN THE UNITED STATED OF AMERICA to say whatever she wants, no matter what the speech and thought police of the Left in the mainstream media and the elected officials of the government think about it. The U.S. Constitution trumps all other law, PERIOD. Thus, laws that are passed that limit speech, religion, assembly, the Press, and gun rights are ILLEGITIMATE. Jefferson referred to such legislative initiatives as tyrannical and lacking in any authority.

Thus, as a lifelong JEFFERSONIAN LIBERAL, not to be confused with modern Liberals, I say to Ann Coulter's critics, 'Go find the nearest lake, and jump in.' Your idiocy is thoroughly annoying.

Media Silence on Durham Rape Hoax

Washington, DC (TLS). An interesting phenomenon has occurred in the aftermath of the Durham-Duke University rape hoax perpetrated by Defendant and District Attorney Mike Nifong. What was once a media feeding frenzy, when it was first thought that a black female was raped by three rich white guys at Duke, has turned into a wall of silence in the national media.

Now that it appears the three white guys were set up by a black female who had set out to 'even the score and get her money from some white guys at Duke,' the national mainstream media apparently has decided to move on to more fruitful endeavors. This particular twist in the story does not fit with the accepted stereotypical orthodoxy that has consumed the national media.

As long as the story was about a white on black rape, the media portrayed it as an outrage. When the story became one of conspiracy. lies, and set-up, making the white guys the victims of the black female and a rogue Democrat prosecutor, suddenly there is no story.

Too far fetched to be seriously considered? Think again! Here is the proof.

Another rape has occurred in Durham which hasn't even caused a blip on the radar screen. A white woman was raped by a black man at a private house party last Saturday. The accuser has given a complete, detailed description of the perpetrator. Not only does the perpetrator still roam the streets as a free man, but the police report, which identifies the perpetrator as black, was not reported in this fashion by the local news media. The race of the perpetrator was conveniently left out in local news broadcasts in Raleigh-Durham. It was not reported at all by the national media.

Why?

The Duke Lacrosse Rape Hoax was shouted from the housetops in every single news outlet in America and around the world.

According to local sources, when this story was first reported in Charlotte, it contained the complete detailed description of the alleged rapist as he was described in the original police report. His race was identified. However, by the time the story was reported in Raleigh, that key element was left out of the story. The reference in the police report identifying the perpetrator as black was deliberately left out.

Thus, the media once again shows itself to be slanted and hopelessly politically correct to the point of becoming not only inaccurate but laughable. This is not to mention the fact that this story has been totally ignored by everyone other than the local news outlets in North Carolina.

I would be willing to wager it won't EVER get reported unless somebody starts claiming that a white woman is falsely accusing a black man of rape. Then you can bet the farm it will make the headlines.

Salt Lake Killer Was Muslim

Washington, DC (TLS). The 18-year old who plowed his vehicle into a Mall in Salt Lake City and began firing his gun at shoppers, killing five and injuring eight, was a Muslim refugee from Bosnia by the name of Sulejmen Talovic. The tragic incident took place yesterday.

The thing that is most interesting, however, is that the mainstream media has yet to identify the young killer as a Bosnian Muslim. This fact is key to understanding motivation, for this is not the first time a Muslim has used a vehicle as a weapon.

Just last year a Muslim in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, plowed his vehicle into a group of students at the University of North Carolina, injuring nine, after attending a seminar sponsored by a Muslim organization during which extremist Jihadist rhetoric was used by the speaker.

The police in Salt Lake claim they do not have a clue as to the motivation of the attacker, who was shot and killed in a shoot-out with officers. However, the fact that the perpetrator was Muslim could very well be a key factor in arriving at a motive.

In this politically-correct world of madness it is no longer acceptable to identify Muslim criminals as Muslim. Even Muslim terrorists cannot be referred to as Muslim. Under pressure from terrorist-supporting organizations like CAIR--the Council on American-Islamic Relations--the news media, police departments, and the Department of Homeland Security no longer correctly and specifically identify perpetrators.

But you can rest assured, what they will not tell you, The Liberty Sphere will.

So now you know.

Homeland Security Chief Imposes 'Muslim' PC

Washington, DC (TLS). The nation's Homeland Security chief, Michael Chertoff, has angered many within the Department with his insistence that the agency implement what is being called 'Muslim PC,' i.e. the politically correct way to avoid identifying extremist Muslims. Apparently Muslim advocacy groups, including the terrorist-supporting group known as 'CAIR,' has demanded that the Department of Homeland Security cease from referring to Muslim terrorists as 'Muslim.'

Chertoff has willingly caved to the demands.

This display of sheer lunacy has raised the ire of many federal officials who work within the Department that is supposed to protect the citizens from terrorists. If they cannot correctly and specifically identify those who pose the biggest threats to U.S. security, then how on earth can we possibly stay safe from terror?

It is not enough to refer to terrorists as merely 'extremists,' as Chertoff insists. There are various kinds of extremists, such as Skinheads, Aryan Nation, Neo-Nazis, Communists, and the like. However, the greatest threat to world security today is coming from MUSLIM EXTREMISTS. The ability to specifically identify the TYPE of terrorist should be a no-brainer. But not in this politically correct world of madness, which has apparently infested the Department of Homeland Security under Chertoff.
