***SPECIAL LIBERTY ALERT***
News from the San Fransisco of the South, North Carolina: A judge has ruled that a family that homeschools their children must place them in public schools, although the children's test scores place them 2 grade levels above their present grade!
The judge claims they need 'a more well-rounded education.'
What, like, how to roll a doobie? How to give or receive a BJ to/from at least 25 members of the opposite sex by the time you're 15?
Give me a freakin' break! This sounds like something we are going to see much more of during the ominous years of Barack Obama. So, get set. The state wants your kids!! They must be indoctrinated into the mindset of the Big Brother Socialist State.
A demonstration is planned against the judge's ruling.
Read the details HERE.

Behar Trashes Homeschooling on 'The View'
I have never tried to hide my utter contempt for the TV program 'The View' or its list of giddy, ignorant, and muddle-headed liberal co-hosts--Elizabeth Hasselbeck being the exception.
The very concept of a bunch of liberal women sitting around making idle chat about matters of no consequence, and then pretending to be political pundits who then proceed to spout utter nonsense is bad enough in and of itself.
But to be forced to sit through an hour of Joy Behar's drivel-infested muttering is simply more than one can handle.
Behar is a complete airhead and everyone knows it, and not surprisingly, she was once a public school teacher.
She is America's top example of what is wrong with our public schools.
But on Thursday's program, her embittered, hateful, degrading, and acidic comments toward students and their parents who homeschool were over the top even for Behar's near-non-existent standards.
Referring to those who homeschool as 'demented,' Behar proceeded to unleash a diatribe of contempt, hate, character-assassination, and personal insults at students and parents within the homeschooling movement.
Perhaps someone should inform Ms. Behar that children who are homeschooled outperform and out-achieve students educated in the public schools.
But I'm sure Behar wouldn't be able to hear that. As with all liberals, her ideology is so loud it drowns out all other voices but her own.
And when it comes to Behar's mouth in particular, that is not hard to do.

Second Amendment News Roundup for 3/18/08
Focusing on guns and politics, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:
Gun Law News has the MUST-read of the day. The term 'non partisanship' concerning gun rights is a farce. Democrats have made it a partisan issue by supporting leaders in the Congress who are doing all in their power to remove our Constitutional right to firearms. And this goes for the so-called 'blue dogs' as well. If the blue dogs mean it, then let them show it by showing the liberals to the door:
http://www.gunlawnews.org/Analysis/nonp031708-2.html
There are quite a few posts on D.C. vs. Heller, which is being heard today by the SCOTUS. We begin with Mike McCarville's report on the day:
http://wwwtmrcom.blogspot.com/2008/03/supreme-court-to-hear-dc-2nd-amendment.html
Alphecca points to a very blunt article on D.C. vs. Heller:

Sebastian has some info from Cam Edwards on D.C. vs. Heller:

Eugene Volokh says that there will be plenty of coverage on the 2nd Amendment today on SCOTUSBLOG:

JR has a link to the original sources for the Second Amendment, in preparation for today's big hearing at the U.S. Supreme Court:
http://akeyboardanda45.blogspot.com/2008/03/original-sources-underlying-second.html
And now to Barack Obama and the story that won't go away and WILL NOT go away, no matter what he says today in the speech he is giving on race. From this point forward anything Obama says to distance himself from the Reverend Jeremiah Wright will be utterly disingenuous. Mike McCarville reports the latest:
http://wwwtmrcom.blogspot.com/2008/03/did-obama-lie-about-hearing-pastors.html
And to make matters worse for the Obama campaign, Born Again Redneck reports that only 8% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Barack's close friend, Pastor, and spiritual advisor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, purveyor of hate extraordinaire:
http://bornagainredneck.blogspot.com/2008/03/8-have-favorable-opinion-of-rev-wright.html
John Lott indicates that the Obama campaign is in deep trouble over the Rev. Wright issue, and it just keeps getting deeper and deeper....note the new info that has surfaced:
http://johnrlott.blogspot.com/2008/03/real-problems-for-obama.html
Are you sitting down? Have some Valium or Scotch whiskey nearby? You will need it once you read this. John Lott reports that an anti-homeschool California judge has issued a 'decree' describing the purpose of education. Just wait till you read what the Commie said:

Dr. Lott also observes that the present mess in the financial markets was created by bumbling government intervention:

Squeaky has an excellent explanation as to why she supports the right to carry guns on college campuses:

Che Guevara is a cult hero among the Leftwing in politics and on college campuses. Barack Obama's campaign has pictures of him hanging in campaign offices all across the country. But the Bastard was a killing machine for Fidel Castro. All American Blogger comments:

This Could Happen Here
Washington, DC (TLS). Germany persecutes parents who homeschool their children. Although homeschooling is allowed in most of Europe, under heavy government regulation, Germany on the other hand requires all children under the age of 16 to attend its state-run schools.
The German regulations on education date back to Adolf Hitler's Nazi regime when the Third Reich feared that citizens may teach their children anti-government views if allowed to teach them at home.
Apparently the Nazi mindset on education is still very much alive in Germany.
And woe be unto you if your reasoning for wishing to homeschool your children has anything to do with religion!
This mindset exists in the U.S. among the Leftist elites who view European Socialism as the model for American government. At least two of these sorts are running for President--Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama.

U.S. Judge Calls Homeschoolers 'Child-Abusers'!
Charlotte, NC (TLS). A Superior Court Judge in New Jersey has stated in open court that homeschooling a child is tantamount to child abuse!
Here we go again.
Where do these idiots come from?
Someone needs to tell the good 'Judge' that in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA the government does not have control over children. The PARENTS do. And that means we can jolly well homeschool our kids if we want to.
What about the abusive PUBLIC school system where kids and teachers are in danger of being killed by teenagers, where sex between 12-year-olds happens in class, where drug abuse is rampant, and where values such as pledging allegiance to the flag are frowned upon?
Add this 'Judge' to the other thugs who are ruining our nation's judicial system.
Maybe we could charge him with a 'hate crime' for denigrating people who homeschool for no good reason at all, except for his obvious hatred for them.
Here is the complete story:
