1. It will take 300 billion dollars in tax increases to pay for all of Barack Obama's proposals, which will necessitate hitting the middle class with some of those tax increases.
2. Obama claims he can give 95% of the population a tax CUT while at the same time calling for proposals that will cost an added 300 billion dollars in new taxes.
3. A 300-billion-dollar tax increase on 5% of the population will put a damper on the creators of wealth who drive the economy, and their businesses and investments will suffer as a result, passing along the costs to the entire economy.
4. George W. Bush is not responsible for the failure of an adequate response to Hurricane Katrina. The former Governor of Louisiana and the Mayor of New Orleans--both Democrats-- failed to implement state-mandated policies to evacuate citizens using school buses--which, by the way, eventually were rendered useless because they sat unused in parking lots as the flood waters rose.
5. Obama claims he wants to help people start small businesses, but this cannot be accomplished while at the same time punishing other business who do so well that their profit margin is described by Socialists as 'obscene.' You cannot be sincere about helping start businesses if you punish them for being successful, which is what the Obama program does.
6. Obama said that McCain represents only 10% change while he (Obama) represents 100% change. Sorry, but in a Constitutional Republic, a President does not have the authority to change things that much. We are governed by the Constitution of the United States of America, most of which should NOT be changed.
7. Obama said that electing John McCain will tantamount to a 3rd term for George W. Bush. In fact, electing Barack Obama will be tantamount to Jimmy Carter's 2nd term--long gas lines, inflation at 13%, interest rates at 23%, America becoming the laughing stock of the world because it's leader was so ignorant and naive that he could not actually guard U.S. interests abroad.
8. Obama stated that the number of uninsured Americans is up. Wrong. Figures for this year indicate that the number of Americans without healthcare has actually DROPPED.
9. Obama painted the economy as a disaster. While there are problems, in actuality the figures show that unemployment over the last 8 years is at its lowest point in 30 years, plus the housing industry is showing signs of a rebound. Inflation is at an average all-time low over the last 8 years as well.
10. America did not lose respect overseas because of George W. Bush, as Obama claims. America lost respect because we refused to cow-tow to Socialist European leaders who show the backbone of a jellyfish when it comes to ruthless dictators, such as Saddam Hussein and others in the region. Why do we need the 'respect' of imbeciles?
And if Obama is elected, I suppose the U.S. will become just another has-been 2nd-rate Socialist nation of the European Union--a nation which will be only a shadow of its former glory.

At DNC: 'KILL MICHELLE MALKIN!'
Leftist demonstrators at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday attacked conservative columnist Michelle Malkin and shouted, 'KILL MICHELLE MALKIN!', as they chased her around the area.
Malkin is covering the Democratic Convention and had attended the demonstration to take photos.
While Malkin was not injured in the attack, it is interesting that Leftists, in the name of 'peace,' certainly perpetrate anything but peace in their attempts to disrupt the activities of freedom-loving American citizens.
The violence in Denver began the night before, on Monday evening, as a group of radicals at the Democratic National Convention staged a march. A riot ensued, forcing police to use pepper spray.
On Tuesday afternoon the demonstrators were at it again, this time turning violent toward Michelle Malkin.
Glenn Reynolds at Pajamas Media posted further information on the incident, stating, 'These people are coming unhinged.'
As expected, the mainstream media has said very little, if anything at all, about the incident.

Windmills at the Democratic Convention
I have often said with regard to the present debate on oil drilling here at home that we cannot 'wind-blow' our way out of the present energy crisis. This, of course, is in response to those who claim that by placing windmills all over creation we can drum up sufficient energy to meet all of America's needs.
It would seem I am going to have to modify my stance on this issue just a tad.
With all of the hot air and wind bags at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, a few well-placed windmills could harness all of that air and wind, producing sufficient energy to meet America's needs for the next several centuries.
Obviously when I said we can't wind-blow our way out of the energy problem, I had not considered the gathering of blow-hards at the DNC.

Dems' Convention Opens to Myriad of Problems
As the Democratic National Convention gets underway in Denver this week, it would seem that the Dems are opening their grand meeting to a myriad of problems and contradictions.
The most glaring of these contradictions is the fact that the City of Denver and the Democratic leadership opened a Gitmo-style jail near the convention site to 'detain' protesters.
One can only assume that some if not most of these protesters will be detained without charges being brought against them. Once again, is that the aroma of Gitmo I smell? You know, the one that the Dems condemn for being supposedly 'unlawful?'
Most of us were under the impression that since the Dems have made it their business to appeal to those who claim freedom of speech and expression is the paramount human right, they would welcome any and all protests.
After all, these are the very people who screamed bloody murder when the Bush administration made it a practice of moving protesters out of the line of fire whenever the President's motorcade passed by, although the protesters were merely moved to another location rather than jailed.
By taking these tactics to the extreme, the Democrats seem to be sending the mixed message that protesters are to be encouraged as long as they don't protest the Democrats. If they do, they go to jail.
Almost as glaring a problem as the Denver Gitmo Prison for protesters at the Democratic Convention is the fact that Barack Obama lacked the intestinal fortitude to do the one thing that would have nearly insured him the Presidency--choosing Hillary Clinton as his running mate.
Hillary won millions of votes across the country and is much more popular than Obama with the very demographic groups that he needs to win. She garnered almost as many delegates as he did.
Prudence and wisdom would dictate that the top of the ticket would choose the most popular of his/her opponents in order to maximize voting potential and unite the Party. This is why Ronald Reagan chose George H.W. Bush in 1980 and why John Kennedy chose LBJ back in 1960.
But not Obama. Hillary is obviously too much for him--too much of a threat--too strong a personality--to suit Barack and his wife, Michelle, who loathe Mrs. Clinton.
And then there are the protesters from within the Democrats' own ranks. One such protest held on Sunday turned violent when a group of ultra-Leftwing activists led by Cynthia McKinney roughed up a Fox News crew. Other network news crews were left unharmed, but apparently the group feels that since Fox is perceived as 'conservative,' then despite all the participants' rhetoric about 'free speech,' 'peace,' and 'nonviolent protest' it is perfectly acceptable to throw those ideals out the window when dealing with, well, people who disagree with them.
Last but not least are the countless corporate sponsors--an entity that Democrats claim to hate with a passion but love when it's time to get bankrolled. Corporate entities will be in Denver by the dozens, throwing lavish parties, complete with free food and spirits, all in an attempt to gain some leverage with some of the most powerful people in Washington.
So much for 'campaign finance reform.'
And perhaps this is the most blatant hypocrisy of all.

Edwards May Be Snubbed at DNC Over Scandal
A major North Carolina newspaper is reporting that former Democratic Presidential candidate John Edwards may be snubbed at the Democratic National Convention over the sex scandal that allegedly involves a mistress and a 'love child.'
The Raleigh News & Observer quotes several top Democratic Party operatives as saying that Edwards will lose his chance to address the Convention--an honor normally given to all previous Presidential candidates--unless he publicly answers the allegations made by the National Enquirer.
So far Edwards has neither directly confirmed nor denied the allegations. His only public comment about the matter is stating that the story is 'tabloid trash.'
But that does nothing to address the truth or falsehood of the allegations.
In fact, Edwards has had several opportunities to answer questions posed by members of the mainstream media in North Carolina concerning the scandal, but each time he has sidestepped the issue.
Democratic Party officials state that with each passing day that the issue remains unresolved, Edwards' value as a speaker at the DNC declines.

Democrat Delegate Banished, Supports McCain
Apparently the Democrats have no use for a Hillary Clinton delegate to the national convention who now supports John McCain rather than Barack Obama.
Is this one of their latest casualties from the 'vote for Obama or die' campaign?
When Wisconsin Democrat Debra Bartoshevich was elected to the Democratic National Convention in Denver, she was a delegate for Hillary Clinton.
However, when Clinton suspended her campaign, Bartoshevich stated that she would support GOP Presidential candidate John McCain rather than cast a vote for Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee.
Party bosses in Wisconsin were incensed. Wishing to avoid the embarrassment of having a defector in their ranks, the Wisconsin Democratic Party executive committee voted unanimously to strip Bartoshevich of her status as a delegate to the Convention.
Evidently the Democrats want no independent thinkers in their ranks to rock the boat as Obama sails to the nomination.

B. Rock-O-Bama Wants to Play in Outdoor Stadium
From the political grapevine came word this week that Barack Obama wants to move his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention to an outdoor venue--such as the stadium where the Denver Broncos play football.
This is a most interesting turn of events.
Delegates and their families at the DNC will fill up a 20,000-seat indoor facility. But this is insufficient for B. Rock-O-Bama's delusions of grandeur. He wants a football stadium that can seat 80,000 in order to further solidify his Hollywood rock-star status with a certain block of the electorate to whom we can refer as 'block' heads.
Advisers to the B. Rock-O-Bama are not so warm to the idea. Neither is the Secret Service.
But what do safety and security matter when you have an image to maintain? Plus, we would not want to miss the screaming females of the mainstream media who have already shown us the extent of their interest in Obama by going 'goo goo gaa gaa' over his tight jeans.
This show should be better than the Beatles' appearance on Ed Sullivan back in the early 60s.
The 'choreographed spontaneity' of Obama before screaming throngs in a football stadium, most of whom will have been bussed or flown in and were never part of the Convention, makes for 'exciting television.'
And isn't this what it's all about?
He may even wear his jeans just for the female reporters of the MSM.
I can just hear them now. 'WOW! Was that a banana stuffed down in his jeans or do you think he was really glad to see me??!!'
'Damn! He's every woman's dream! A sexy black man in the White House! All that POWER!'
'Oh Lawd! I'll give up my job at CNN and become a groupie!'
I wonder how many illegal aliens, environmentalist wackos, Code Pink Commies, and anti-war activists the Democrats will have to bus in to fill up that stadium? And how will they pay for it since the DNC is in deep financial trouble?
Perhaps they are counting on multi-million-dollar contributions from their buddies in North Korea, Commie China, Cuba, and Iran to come through and save the day.
Wow, what a bright future we have in the good ole U.S.A. It sort of gives the words 'hope' and 'change' a nightmarish connotation.

Hillary's Pipe Dream
What was once a foregone conclusion for Hillary Clinton a year ago has now become but a pipe dream. For all intents and purposes, the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination is over, and Barack Obama has won.
With the bosses of the Democratic Party making the decision on Saturday to essentially ignore the votes of the hundreds of thousands of Democrats who voted in Florida and Michigan, Hillary's chances for wresting the nomination away from Obama are next to nil.
Instead of honoring the wishes of the voters in the two states in question, the Democratic Party bosses decided to divide up the delegates, giving Hillary less than what the voters indicated and Obama more than he deserved.
This 'compromise plan' has practically insured Hillary's defeat for the nomination. And her supporters know it. One supporter in particular had to hauled out of the room due to her vehement protests.
Hillary has vowed to take the matter to the Convention floor. There is nothing wrong with that, except for the fact that it scares the Party elites into a state of panic.
However, the numbers are not on Hillary's side. Although she racked up a major win in Puerto Rico on Sunday, it will not matter come Tuesday as the Democratic primaries come to a close. Obama stands to win what's left, and that will give him enough delegates to put him over the top.
Don't count on Hillary to bow out gracefully, however. Her supporters are deeply convinced they got the shaft by the Democratic Party big wigs on Saturday, and they are boiling mad. Look for a fight on the Convention floor unless Hillary finds a way to swallow up her loss and drop out of the race prior to the Convention.
But this will not do a thing to help soothe the hurt feelings on the part of Clinton supporters. So convinced are they about their candidate's abilities and credentials that a significant number will support McCain if Hillary isn't the nominee.
Although some believe that Obama's charming public manner will be enough to be an opiate for the masses, it would be a huge mistake to discount the candidate's glaring weaknesses and liabilities, as well as the fact that he is losing the white vote, the Jewish vote, and the Hispanic vote.
Thus, Obama's chances of winning key states such as Florida, Pennsylvania, and Ohio are shaky at best. His best chance is Pennsylvania, but he has already insulted millions in the state by portraying them essentially as cousin-humpin' rednecks who cling to their guns and religion out of fear.
Florida's large senior population, which includes a large number of Jews, will be a big problem for Obama. And this is not even taking into consideration Florida's massive Cuban-American population that already views the Senator with deep suspicion.
Ohio is a toss-up. But McCain has as good a chance as any to beat Obama in a state that has historically gone Republican in key elections.
And as for Hillary, perhaps the only vindication she can get out of the whole thing is knowing that in attempting to appease the Obama people, the elites within her Party have probably handed McCain a gift on a golden platter. She tried to tell them Obama can't win the general election.
It truly makes one wonder if the Party bosses are as concerned about winning the election as they are about avoiding causing an uproar in their African-American base by denying Obama the nomination.

Are the Democrats Back to Party Boss Rule?
Vestiges of the old days of Party bosses sitting in smoke-filled rooms, engaging in arm-twisting and outright heavy-handed control of the process seem to be overshadowing the Democratic Party in the 2008 Presidential campaign.
Democratic National Committee Chair Howard Dean has all but decreed that one of the two Democratic candidates for the Party's Presidential nomination should drop out of the race by June.
Excuse me, but, what if neither Clinton nor Obama have the required number of delegates to be the clear winner in June?
This, my friends, does not matter in the thinking of the bosses behind the scenes.
Dean's objective is to prevent the nomination process from going to the Convention floor in the late summer, despite the fact that it appears that Democrats across the nation are clearly divided as to who they prefer to run against John McCain.
Thus, the Party of 'letting every vote count' seems to be under the rule of Party bosses, or in this case, the Party boss, Howard Dean.
If neither Obama nor Clinton have enough delegates to be the clear winner in June, how is it fair to require one of them to drop out, even though their rival may have more delegates? Party rules do not state that whoever has the most delegates wins but that whoever reaches the required 2024 delegates is the winner.
For example, suppose at the end of June Obama has just over 1800 delegates to Clinton's 1550. Obama would be short of the required number to win by 224. Clinton would be short by less than 500. In that scenario, neither candidate wins.
And this is precisely what Dean and the Party bosses wish to avoid--allowing the individual voters in the Party to control the process. The Party elites fear the process going to the Convention floor in spite of the fact that apparently this is the choice of the majority of the rank and file Democratic voters.
The Democrats set up these rules for themselves. Party bosses have no business intervening in the process.

Frightened Democrats Scurry to 'Wrap It Up'
The Democrats are running scared. The big news today in Washington is that the big wigs in the Party fear that the great divide created by the Hillary-Obama feud is playing into the hands of McCain and may 'cost them the White House,' as one network put it.
First of all, the assumption that the White House is the Democrats' to lose is quite a giant leap into fantasy land. There have never been any guarantees especially as the race has progressed, highlighting the multiple weaknesses of the two potential nominees.
Further, John McCain has already made significant inroads into the Democratic Party's voter base. He will get millions of Democratic votes no matter who the nominee of the Party may be.
The most ominous prospect, however, is that McCain will more than double his support among Dems if either Hillary or Obama is forced out of the race. So deep and scathing have been the wounds created by the feud that supporters of either candidate state that if their 'guy' loses the nomination they will vote for McCain rather than support their Party's nominee.
This has got to have the Party big wigs bent over a toilet bowl somewhere.
Thus, the big wigs emerged today to say that 'it's time to wrap it up.' No longer do they want this divisive campaign to continue. They want 'Party unity.'
Just exactly how they wish to accomplish this is the million dollar question.
Hillary responded by stating there was no way she was pulling out of the race. And why should she? She is headed toward a big win in Pennsylvania in all likelihood, and the Obama bandwagon has lost at least one of its wheels in recent weeks. He may not win any other major primary.
The mainstream media's spin on this, of course, is that 'there is no way Hillary can win when one looks at the numbers.' What they fail to tell you is that in the present scenario there is no way Obama can win when one looks at the numbers, either.
Though one candidate may well have more delegates than the other, neither will have enough to declare victory.
Thus, either the 'Super-delegates' will be forced to choose the candidate--a scenario that will surely split the Party even further--or the fight will be taken to the floor of the Democratic National Convention.
Neither option holds a positive outcome.
