Obama's 'Health Summit'

Don't let anyone fool you into thinking that due to budget constraints and the recession, Obama has therefore put his plans to socialize healthcare on the back burner. The first sign that the plan is still very much near the top of the list is the fact that it was included in the 'stimulus bill' as a rider.

But Obama will take another step toward fulfilling his goal by holding a major White House 'Health Summit' next week.

According to a report in The Hill, Obama intends to send a clear signal that 'healthcare reform' is still a top priority.

And by the way, 'healthcare reform' is simply a code word for more spending and the intention of setting up a national health czar to oversee the spending habits of the nation's medical providers.

It would be wise to watch this development very closely.

Where the heck is the AMA? Don't they realize this spells the end of the medical profession as we know it?
I thought they had a lot of political clout?

Should it come to pass, we may be the first nation in history to have a civil war led by aged, terminal citizens in walkers and wheelchairs.

How good would that be for Obama's legacy?

Think about it, the meaning of SSI would change to Scooter Store Insurrectionists. Or the Hoveround Holocaust. The Geriatric Gentleman Brigade. The Terrible Terminals.

Man is that dummy in the White House really that dumb? Depends! (Ok, couldn't help myself).

LOL, SA. And let's not forget that the aging Baby Boomers will be the single largest voting block as well...we may be getting to be old geezers but we can still vote and raise hell.

Jim--as the older doctors have either retired or died the AMA has grown noticeably more liberal.

I remember a day when the AMA was one of the best conservative groups in the nation. Now, it seems the brainwashers in the universities have gotten to them too. So sad.
