Sources: Obama to usurp Constitutional power from Congress

According to sources in Congress and the White House, Barack Obama is preparing to usurp the Constitutional power of Congress to control the purse strings of the federal government. The Obama plan entails using the 14th Amendment of the Constitution to bypass Congress on the upcoming debt ceiling debate and unilaterally raise the debt ceiling without the approval of Congress.

On Thursday Mark Levin cited several Congressional sources who have told him that Obama has no intention of negotiating with Congress on the debt, which topped $17 trillion, the highest in U.S. history. When unfunded liabilities such as Social Security and Medicare are added in, the real debt is over $110 trillion -- a figure so astronomically high that the country has no hope of ever paying it back. Uncontrolled spending has led the nation to this point.

Chaos erupts in Washington

Excerpts:

In the aftermath of the partial government shutdown, chaos has erupted in Washington at the White House and at the Capitol building. A suspect attempted to ram a vehicle through barricades at the White House, and gun shots were fired outside the Capitol building that injured at least one police officer.

Reportedly the suspect died on the scene...

...Meanwhile, inside the Capitol the nation's elected leaders continued to engage in name-calling and insults as a consequence of the failure of the House and Senate to reconcile their differences on the new budget, specifically with regard to funding for the new Obamacare law.

Cutting through the common myths of Obamacare

http://www.examiner.com/article/cutting-through-the-common-myths-of-obamacare

Click the link above to read my latest Examiner article today.

Here is an excerpt:

As one who has opposed the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare, from the time it was first proposed right through to today, I have been the target of numerous questions and comments from those who support the new healthcare law.

Some of these questions and comments were quite sincere, stemming from those who were admittedly uninformed about the new law, while others emanated from the lips of the salivating progressive minions who were obviously ready to devour me like a grizzly staring at his prey.

Thus, I decided it was time to address the issues raised by those concerned in order to cut through the common myths held by many citizens who support the new healthcare law.

Palin: 'We don't do pinpricks but sometimes we elect them'

Excerpts:

Former Alaska governor and Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin told Sean Hannity on Fox News Monday evening, when asked about the government shutdown and the refusal of Barack Obama and Senate Democrats to negotiate a compromise, that "we don't do pinpricks, but sometimes we elect them."

...In this case, the president went into the budget process with his mind made up that he would not negotiate at all with House Republicans on the issues of Obamacare and the federal budget. Marching in lockstep with the White House, Senate Democrats followed the leader and acted as if the fact that Republicans were elected to control the House did not matter.

Even after Speaker Boehner offered to do his part to convene a conference between the House and Senate to broker a deal that both sides could accept, the Democrats refused.

Such a conference is normal Congressional protocol...

The Gun Rights and Liberty News Roundup for 9/30/2013

David Codrea reports that the League of Women Voters in Ohio is up to no good concerning gun rights.

Kurt Hofmann maintains that 2014 could be a very big year for so-called "printed guns" -- firearms that can be made at home using computer programs.

Mike Vanderboegh takes apart those in the media and in government that excuse the death cult that is modern extremist Islam.

Way Up North shows us some of the beauty of autumn in Alaska.

Tam cites another example of the attitude of the progressives/collectivists who believe "bigotry is acceptable as long as we're the ones doing it."

WRSA highlights a gender gap when it comes to gun control. Question. Why is it that women are always the ones who seem to push collectivism/restrictive laws the most? I know there are many exceptions to that, many of whom come here regularly. Glad there are exceptions to the rule, but still, what is the matter with these women? Is there is genetic/gender-driven component to being a supporter of government-commie rules and oppression????

John Jacob H reports that a Charlotte, N.C. gun store is the latest target in the jihad against gun dealers by credit card companies, including online payment orgs.

Gateway Pundit says that parents are furious, and rightly so, over a video played in a middle school in Wisconsin in which students pledge to be a "servant of my president Barack Obama."

Days of our Trailers points to a major newspaper in Illinois that opposes self-defense for citizens.

Pamela Geller reports that the U.S. had prior warning of the Kenyan terrorist attack.

Alphecca notes that a boy brought a gun-shaped key chain to school. Do we need to tell you what happened next?

Roberta X has some helpful, common sense thoughts on the government shutdown.

Traction Control shares the news on "Abortion Barbie" -- the nutcase Texas legislator who made a complete idiot of herself in the last debate on abortion.

The Wandering Minstrel blogs on cleaning the firearms.

The Smallest Minority provides the joke of the day on the government shutdown.

Gun Owners of America posts a free preview of the new documentary called "Agenda: Grinding America Down." Just click on the movie icon in the middle of page to view.

Stand Up America comes down hard on Obama for negotiating with our enemies who want to kill us while at the same time refusing to negotiate with our own representatives which we elected to Congress to represent our views! And remember, it is Obama and Democrats who are shutting down the government. You can't expect the other side to constantly give in, which is what they have forced Republicans to do ever since these sorry arses took over Washington. It's tyranny, pure and simple.

Dirty little secrets of Obamacare and government shutdown

The American public is being scammed by the endless brouhaha concerning Obamacare and the impending government shutdown. Precious little of what is being reported by the mainstream media and the government is the truth. In order for you, the citizen, to be firmly grounded in reality, you must summarily reject most of what you hear and read concerning these two issues.

Too tired to write

Well, today was a washout when it comes to writing.

Last night I had to take a family member to the emergency room. It seems a nasty respiratory infection is going around in these parts.

Today I had a very busy morning at church and then a luncheon afterward. Later today I did a program of music in a nearby town, and that is always exciting but very tiring. The response was good, and I felt very good about it. The voice held up very nicely, so I was very pleased, to say the least...not to mention it was a very good payday.

But, I am exhausted. So there will be no posts today. Tomorrow I will start all over again. But I just wanted to say hi to those who visit here whether I have new posts or not, and to tell you hello and thanks for stopping by. Until tomorrow...
