Public denials of scandal designed to hide private guilt

Excerpt:

"The latest example of the denials is Attorney General Eric Holder's claim before Congress today, in sworn testimony, that he knew nothing of the scandal at the Justice Department wherein operatives secretly tapped the phone records of the Associated Press (AP) or the IRS scandal that targeted conservative groups. He also claimed to know nothing about Fast and Furious back during that investigation, in spite of the fact that he was held in contempt of Congress for failing to cooperate with Congressional oversight.

"But a new pattern is developing within the administration's deep well of excuses, smoke, and mirrors."
