Mainstream media begins spin of IRS scandal

Although the discovery that the Obama Justice Dept. had tapped at least 20 reporters' phone lines at the Associated Press, including the main switchboard, the mainstream media continues to exhibit the fact that they are, as a whole, the water-boys of the administration.

The IRS scandal is a case in point. One mainstream outlet provided the administration with the excuse that the IRS is an "independent organization" and that it was only "low level officials" who targeted conservative groups for harassment and audits.

One cannot imagine any other reason for such an erroneous explanation to be given than to provide cover for a president who is being buried at multiple scandals all at once.
