When it was disclosed by various reporters in the alternative press that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other agencies of the federal government had purchased enough hollow point ammunition to pump five rounds into every single American citizen, many turned to the task of attempting to pinpoint a motive for the purchases.
Why would non-military government agencies need such a huge amount of ammo? And why would non-law enforcement agencies such as the Department of Education and the Social Security Administration need deadly bullets that are designed specifically not only to inflict as much internal bodily damage as possible but to kill?
Rational minds have legitimate concerns about government possessing such massive fire power, particularly at a time in American history when the advocates of centralized government control openly call for the end of gun rights for citizens and the repeal of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
However, the less than reputable musings of the conspiracy theorists also kick into high gear, postulating all sorts of explanations for the ammo that defy all logic and that lead the vast majority of citizens to roll their eyes in disbelief....
