I Just Had to Do It...

The Pam Geller story concerning the Louisiana man who was detained by law enforcement for doing nothing more than displaying a 'Don't Tread on Me' bumper sticker is so explosive and disturbing that I had to put it up on the Examiner.

Do me a big favor by clicking on the link and reading...and sharing. I want this story to be shouted far and wide.

While I wouldn't be surprised, it is wholly unsubstantiated.

Makes me happy I have the coiled snake as a tattoo!

Who has to substantiate it in order for it to be true?

I am privy to some inside info on this, and I can tell you, this is a manufactured incident, he was NOT detained over that sticker...

Cops, even cops in Ball, La. have better things to do, the guy did something to initiate the stop!

Fred, is there a police report?

My source stands by the story.

I dunno...

Hey, Fred...

The other thing I wanted to mention is that cops can find all sorts of reasons to pull a person over. Maybe he was speeding. Maybe he was, as you say, in trouble for some other issues, so they just wanted to detain him for a while.

However, this in no way means that the officers in question did not make statements concerning that bumper-sticker and then do a background check on him concerning his 'watch list' status.

That way, you see, they had legitmate reasons for pulling him over while at the same time doing a bit of harassing to boot.

Knowing the cops in that part of the country, the ONLY thing they would have said about that flag is, 'Hey man, where can I get one of those??'

Unless, and on this I am only speculating, unless this happened to be a Dem and/or a Black officer, and then, yeah, this could be real...

Those guys in that part of Louisiana are still flying the Stars and Bars and have *Be a MAN, Join the Klan* stickers on the back of the pickup!!

Something about this story stinks man, not your part, you're reporting from the source, I am going on experience, and the fact that I am from Louisiana, it's my home, and the fact that our entire family, both sides, mine and the wife, are cops, past, present and retired, and the Louisiana branch have ALL called BS on this one...

Just sayin'...

And, according to the Ball PD, this event didn't happen and so far there is NO report...

Should be rather easy to check the dispatch logs, ALL calls for DL reports, stolen vehicles and so forth are logged... Date, time, officer calling in, dispatcher making the report...

None has surfaced... And I saw the story on WND, those guys are not the paramount of journalistic integrity...

I'm with TexasFred on this one. As a current member of a law enforcement agency in Louisiana I'll guarantee you the sticker was not the reason for the stop nor was it harrassed upon. The officer may have asked what it was simply over the fact he may not have paid attention in his high school history class. Of the officers I know, NONE of them would put their careers on a limb over such pettyness as this. And remember, no matter what your sources tell you, I'll nearly guarantee its not the whole story and there's something in law enforcement called the "totality of the circumstance" and until you find out everything that was going on, its very difficult to armchair quarterback this one.
