'Big Lib' Media Cover-Up on Obama Healthcare

In an address before the American Medical Association yesterday, Barack Obama said the following concerning single-payer, state-run healthcare--'I'll be honest, there are countries where a single-payer system works pretty well.'

The problem is, not a single major big liberal news outlet quoted Obama on that statement.

It was simply removed from the record as if it were never uttered.

But CNS News retained it, published it, and scolded the 'big lib' media for attempting a cover-up of Obama's real feelings about healthcare and how it should be handled.

Playing Up the Praise, Downplaying the Dissent

As Obama headed for London today to attend the G-20 Summit, the talking heads of the mainstream media were at their old games again, playing up the worshipful throngs bowed in adoration for the messiah, while downplaying the significant dissent.

And this is the subject of my column today at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

As you will see in the column, there is news on the bias of the New York Times, the failure of the MSM to report ANY of the Tea Party taxpayer protests, and a host of other issues pointing to a cover-up on behalf of Obama.

Couric the Airhead

CBS News anchor Katie Couric, the talking airhead, tried her best to make Sarah Palin look like a 'dumb' conservative. Perhaps Couric should do some serious introspection before doing that to anyone else.

Before and after Obama's speech Tuesday night, Couric, as usual, played up the 'support Obama' rhetoric with her comments, such as 'The American people overwhelmingly support Obama's plan for the country,' and 'President Obama has an enormous amount of political capital to spend.'

Yet she turned right around and cited several polls that show the complete fallacy of the words she had just spoken.

For example, she stated that only approximately 33%-39% of Americans support bailouts for the automakers, Wall Street, and those who can't pay their home mortgages.

Excuse me, Ms. Couric, but the figures you cited in those polls clearly do NOT show that 'Americans overwhelmingly support Obama's plan for the country.' Are you not aware, Ms. Couric, that those figures show exactly the OPPOSITE of what you said?

Perhaps you are NOT aware. If that is the case, then you are without doubt the biggest ignoramus to ever occupy an anchor's chair.

But if you ARE aware of the contradiction, then you just lied to the American public.

And you people wonder why Americans in ever-increasing numbers say they do not trust the mainstream news media. You are either too dumb to recognize a blatant contradiction in reporting, or you deliberately lie to the public. In either case you do not exactly inspire confidence on the part of the viewing public.

Coulter's New Book Examines Media and Obama

Controversial conservative commentator Ann Coulter has written a new book to be released the first week of January, just in time to rain on Barack Obama's inaugural parade.

Obama's Pravda

Pravda was the official state-approved news agency of the Communist Party Politburo in the USSR under Lenin, Stalin, and a host of other Soviet presidents.

In the early days of the Communist government in Russia, the Politburo consisted of 5 members--Lenin, Stalin, Leon Trotsky, Lev Kamenev, and Nikolai Krestinski.

These 5 formed the Communist Party central committee, and Pravda, as the nation's leading newspaper, served as the propaganda arm of the central committee.

It is interesting to note that Pravda had been in existence before the Bolshevik Revolution that brought the Communists to power. After the revolution the ruling central committee simply seized control of the newspaper, and it became an official part of the Politburo.

A series of related events with regard to news and how it is disseminated have all come together to form a chilling pattern in the U.S. today that is reminiscent of the old Soviet Union.

Obama has repeatedly made it clear that he has very little patience or tolerance for criticism in the media. He has threatened TV and radio stations over running McCain-Palin ads that told the truth about his dubious past and present associations. His surrogates have made it known that they have every intention of silencing conservative voices on radio, one way or another. And now, Obama's choice for Attorney-General has stated he wishes to place 'reasonable limits' on free speech on the Internet.

During the campaign, Obama's staff also suggested that they intend to attempt to 'nationalize' the Internet so that government can have complete control over Internet content.

Meanwhile, at the very same time, the mainstream media, represented by MSNBC, NBC, CNBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Newsweek Magazine, and others, very obviously and overtly promoted Obama's quest for the Presidency.

An obvious question arises as to whether or not the mainstream media knew something the rest of us didn't. Did they see the handwriting on the wall with regard to Obama's intention of cracking down on opposing voices in the media? And did they decide early-on that they would position themselves to be smiled upon approvingly by Obama and his minions, thus making themselves the perfect tool that Obama would use to spread his propaganda unchallenged?

At the very least, NBC and its other networks have openly admitted their agenda--to help Obama succeed (stated by Chris Matthews of MSNBC).

Clearly, this is not journalism or unbiased news coverage. This is reinventing a news organization to become an official voice of the Obama machine.

And if the networks and newspapers cited above continue down this path, not only will it mean the death of journalism in America on the part of the major traditional news organizations, but these news organizations will officially become Obama's Pravda.

Lenin and Stalin would be proud.

Too Late--LA Times Notices Obama Weaknesses

After the election, of course, the Los Angeles Times finally decides that it notices glaring weaknesses in Barack Obama's credentials for the Presidency.

The LA Times and the mainstream media as a whole had ample opportunity, indeed a responsibility, to inform the public of Obama's very weak resume for the job BEFORE the election.

Striking Similarities--What Will Be Our Price to Pay?

One of the most tragic and inexcusable episodes in the history of humanity was precipitated by a government regulated by a democratic constitution which called for the free election of the nation's leader.

The problem, however, was 3-fold.

One, the government controlled the information reported to the public through the use of what is known as 'propaganda.' Only that information that was deemed favorable to the government was reported.

Second, class warfare was rampant in the society, pitting one group against another and leading to a culture of blame against certain groups of persons who had done well, such as Jews.

Third, the democratic constitution contained one fatal flaw. In the event of a perceived national emergency, the nation's elected leader could suspend all human liberty and assume complete control of the government.

These events coalesced from 1919 to 1932 to form the backdrop for the ascension of the Nazi Party in Germany, leading to the formation of the Third Reich and the assumption of power by Adolf Hitler.

The similarities between these events and the events occurring presently in the United States are striking.

During the current campaign for the Presidency of the United States a shocking lack of objectivity has been exhibited by a Press that has shown itself to be recklessly unconcerned about journalistic integrity in lieu of assuming a cheerleading role for a possible new President, Barack Obama.

Even veteran newscaster Dan Rather, who has never been a friend to conservatives, noted that the mainstream media's bias in favor of Obama has been pervasive, consistent, and blatant.

The ominous character of this bias lies in the fact that the media has simply withheld vital information from the public in the midst of an important Presidential campaign.

For example, the mainstream media deemed it infinitely more important to send out multi-millions of dollars' worth of satellite equipment, and manpower, to dig up possible dirt on Sarah Palin in her hometown in Alaska than to simply report known fact concerning Barack Obama's friendships and collaborative work with known terrorists and anti-Americans such as William Ayers.

It is further very interesting to note that within the past week all reports concerning widespread voter fraud by ACORN, an Obama get-out-the-vote project, have mysteriously disappeared from the news.

Apparently in the days leading up to the election, the propaganda machine has decided it does not wish for citizens to be reminded of the fraud and corruption that has characterized this campaign, Barack Obama in particular.

The class warfare issue is another interesting parallel to 1920s Germany.

Despite Obama's claim that 'there is no white America, no black America, we are all Americans' mantra, the campaign has conducted a very subtle yet noticeable attempt to pit one group of Americans against another, in the name of not doing so.

To refer to an across-the-board tax cut that benefits all citizens as a 'tax break for the rich' is a perfect example of this class warfare.

Obama wishes to allow to expire the Bush tax cuts of the last 8 years so that 'we can give those cuts to the middle class.'

But the middle class got tax cuts under Bush. Everyone did. That is what we mean by 'across the board.'

So how, then, is an across-the-board tax cut something that is only for 'the rich'?

This is class warfare at its worst, and Obama has used it to his advantage just as Hitler did in Germany in the 20s and 30s.

But the problem here is much more sinister.

While most Americans thought that within the halls of academia professors and students were conducting the normal business of learning and training young minds to think for themselves, a group of radicals sat around Columbia University and other settings during the late 1960s seriously discussing how they were going to pull off the systematic murder of 25 million capitalists.

Obama-friend and co-worker William Ayers was part of the that group.

Ayers himself writes of this episode in his book on homegrown terrorism from the 1960s entitled, Prairie Fire.

Yet Obama later sought out Ayers, formed a friendship with him, wrote promotionals for his books, and collaborated with the terrorist in developing and propagating an educational scheme in Chicago to brainwash students into becoming radicals.

This information has been carefully withheld from the public by the Press, except among various sources of the 'unauthorized variety' that are not part of the propaganda machine.

Yet another eerily similar aspect of 1920s Germany and the U.S. in 2008 is the push to shore up government power using the 'security from terrorism' tactic as an excuse.

Many Constitutional adherents and patriots were appalled that in the massive government bailout of Wall Street, pushed by George Bush and Democrats Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Harry Reid, and Chris Dodd, the federal government was given unprecedented power to control financial markets and even 'inform' large banks that the government was going to buy shares in them in order to shore up its control.

The banks were given no choice. The government forced their hand to allow the feds to participate in bank 'ownership.'

The Nazi Party in Germany was fascist in nature. One defining characteristic, among others, of fascism is the government's stake in private ownership of business, leading to one massive collaborative effort by the government and big business to dominate society under the leadership of a dictator or a dictatorial consortium.

Hitler partnered with big business in Germany in the 20s and 30s, creating one mammoth 'oligarchy'--a government-big business complex.

Beyond this, in the government's present attempt to 'protect' American citizens at all costs from terrorists, a line has been crossed leading to an unprecedented consolidation of centralized government power.

The changes to our Constitution resulting from these misguided steps leave the citizens vulnerable to a suspension of their rights in the event of some unnamed 'national emergency.'

We have already seen what the effects of such a thing have done in certain areas of the country. In the aftermath of Katrina, innocent law abiding citizens were deprived of their right to protect themselves and their property as local government confiscated their guns.

And within this year's Presidential campaign, we have seen the dark side of unbridled government power used to try to smear and ruin an ordinary citizen, Joe the Plumber, for challenging Barack Obama on his tax policies.

The state of Ohio is investigating invasions into Joe's privacy by those in government who used government computers to dig up personal information to use against Joe.

Barack Obama is on record stating that he opposes the right of American citizens to own handguns and would support measures to outlaw them. He also told reporters back in February that he is opposed to lawful concealed carry of firearms by American citizens.

Hitler opposed such things as well. And during his rise to power Germany not only registered weapons but then went further to confiscate those weapons from the citizens who had registered them in good faith.

When Hitler ran for office in the years after World War I, he lost his election to Hindenburg. But Hindenburg made Hitler a part of his government, giving him the title of Chancellor. Upon Hindenburg's death, Hitler consolidated his power and became the sole head of the government.

And, using the fatal flaw contained in the democratic constitution, Hitler was able to seize complete control as a Fuhrer, using the excuse of a national emergency as his reasoning.

The fact that Hitler could hypnotize and mesmerize multi-thousands of Germans in the speeches he gave before massive crowds only helped him further consolidate his power. With the support of the people behind him he could then do whatever he wanted in terms of his overall agenda--to rid society of those making up the 'undesirable classes,' to remove any and all opposition, and to bring back to Germany some of the lost 'hope and change' they forfeited at the end of World War I.

With an unchecked national media supporting him, and with an overwhelming majority of like-minded persons in the Congress and in the courts, Barack Obama is set to amass the very same kind of power that the charismatic Adolf Hitler was able to seize during pre-World War II Germany.

The result for Germany and Europe was the Holocaust during which 7 million Jews and 4 million political dissidents were murdered. What will be our price to pay?

CNN THUGGERY FOR OBAMA--THE PALIN AMBUSH

CNN has shown itself beyond doubt to be just as biased, partisan, underhanded, and untrustworthy as the New York Times, Newsweek, NBC, CBS, and ABC.

In an interview with Sarah Palin on Tuesday, the reporter who interviewed Palin either deliberately or unknowingly misquoted a statement from venerable conservative publication National Review.

The subject of the question to Palin was the Leftwing media's unfair treatment of Palin, which is well-known. Yet the reporter sought to make it appear as if conservatives also question her intelligence and ability.

National Review's Byron York wrote the piece in question, during which he stated that mainstream media coverage of Palin was designed to make her appear dumb, stupid, inept, and unqualified.

Yet, CNN's reporter read those words from the article as if York had assessed Palin in such a fashion, which is completely and blatantly FALSE.

According to sources at Fox News and other lesser-known news outlets, CNN was contacted early this morning in order to call their attention to the gross error. So far there has been no apology and no retraction.

A great disservice has been done not only to Byron York who was savagely misquoted, but to Sarah Palin herself. A apology from CNN is owed to both.

If the misquote was an simply error, it only points to gross incompetence on the part of CNN, particularly since many Americans do rely on the leftwing network for political coverage.

But if the whole thing was deliberate, then it only shows more 'in the tank' Leftwing thuggery the mainstream media is willing to adopt in order to get their guy Obama into the White House.

It is obvious that if Barack Obama is elected, then the New York Times, the Washington Post, Newsweek, CNN, CBS, ABC, and NBC will make up his centralized propaganda corp we can call 'the Politburo,' as per the old Commie Soviet Union.

Sophomoric Couric Does It Again

The sophomoric Katie Couric does it again, showing the American public that she is but an amateur and not a real news professional.

Tonight on the CBS Evening News, Couric attempted to lay 2 traps for Sarah Palin in her much-touted interview with the GOP Vice-Presidential candidate.

First, Couric asked Palin if 'the present financial crisis could lead to another Depression if steps are not taken to address it.'

Palin correctly answered that such a thing is possible if something isn't done to enact necessary reforms on Wall Street.

But Couric turned right around and asked John McCain in her interview with him this evening if it is 'appropriate for Sarah Palin to be using the term "depression" at a time such as this.'

Well, Ms. Couric, it was YOU, not Palin, who brought it up. And it has been YOU and your Obama-supporting colleagues in the media who have been playing up to the hilt the 'dire financial situation' with the economy, that this is 'the worst since the Great Depression,' and that unless the government undertakes a massive FDR-era bailout of Wall Street, we could see circumstances similar to the 1930s (hint-The Great Depression).

This kind of trick is the stuff of amateurs and not seasoned professional journalists, Ms. Couric.

Couric's 2nd attempt to lay a trap for Palin was in her question about the sincerity of John McCain in attempting to reform Wall Street. Palin cited the fact that McCain was calling for reforms for Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae long before it was cool to do so.

Couric would have none of it.

She continued to press Palin for other examples rather than the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac reform proposals put forth by McCain. It was obvious Palin couldn't think of any right off the bat, but she quickly added, 'Well, you know, Katie, I will look those up and get them to you.'

The exchange was bit too much like the old 'gotcha' trick that Charles Gibson used on Palin and that countless other mainstream media idiots have used on various politicians in the past. Excuse me, Charles, Katie, Brian, Chris, and others, but YOU are not the all-knowing teacher giving an ignorant student a pop quiz.

If fact, if we would put all of your brains together in a paper bag, it would be quickly discarded as human refuse.

I would like to give Katie Couric a pop quiz on the air. Katie, can you name the first 10 amendments to the U.S. Constitution, and can you tell me the Founders' original intent for wanting to place the 2nd amendment in a bill enumerating basic human rights?

Yes, I would love to see you, Charlie, and Brian, and especially Chris Matthews, squirm attempting to answer those two very basic questions concerning our country.

Katie, perhaps you made a colossal mistake in taking over at CBS News. Your style of amateurish, sophomoric baiting tactics are more in line with The View rather than a news program...not that there is any real, hard news on CBS or the other networks to begin with.

Perhaps the mainstream talking-head teleprompter readers should start each broadcast with the disclaimer--'We admit that we are attempting to get Barack Obama elected to the Presidency. All of the stories we present should therefore be viewed with that basic fact in mind.'

For Couric/CBS, Body Language Says It All

CBS News anchor Katie Couric has been asking questions of the 2 Presidential candidates in a series on Campaign '08, but the biggest story so far is Couric's body language.

Tonight, for example, Couric asked John McCain and Barack Obama 2 questions--is it ever appropriate to lie to the American people, and what is your favorite movie.

When interviewing McCain, Couric is clearly reserved, rarely smiles, and appears perturbed by having to interview the GOP Presidential candidate.

But when Couric put the questions to Obama, there were big, broad-faced smiles, even a flirty sort of give-and-take with the Democrat--so much so that one gets the distinct impression that there is a sexual component for Couric to be in Obama's presence.

This only further proves the mainstream media's lust for Barack Obama and its concomitant 'over-the-top' style of news coverage for him that simply is not present with McCain or any other candidate for that matter. It's all observable in the body language and facial expressions.

Remember it was Chris Matthews of MSNBC who stated during Obama's speech at the DNC that he 'felt a sensation going up his leg' as a result of hearing the speech delivered in person.

These dimwits of the MSM are so mesmerized and sexually aroused by Obama that obviously they have taken leave of their rationality. We can expect no objectivity from such sophomoric teleprompter readers of the modern mainstream media.

She's One of Us

So, a few critics and mainstream media analysts have determined that GOP VP candidate Sarah Palin 'appeared nervous' in the Charles Gibson hit-piece interviews on ABC last week.

Well, wouldn't you be, too?

One of the things Americans love about Sarah Palin is that she's one of us--a real person, a regular, average, mainstream American trying to make a living and raise a family at the same time. She speaks our language and holds to our values.

Thus, suppose you as another average American citizen had to face an attack-dog of the mainstream media after 2 weeks of being smeared, maligned, ridiculed, and lampooned for being a normal, everyday American woman who is running for office?

Over the past 2 weeks, the mainstream media on TV and radio, in magazines and newspapers, and on the Internet, has referred to Palin as a 'redneck,' a 'religious fanatic who will force all Americans to adhere to her religious beliefs,' a 'man trapped in a female body' because she can fish and hunt, a 'whore,' a 'bad mother' because her daughter is pregnant out of wedlock, a person who should not be running for office because she is raising a family, although the very ones making that statement are themselves working outside the home and raising families, etc., etc., ad nauseum.

These sleazebag elitists snobs, most of whom had never even heard of Sarah Palin until 3 weeks ago, would make these charges about someone they barely know.

I ask you, what normal human being in their right mind would NOT be nervous facing one of the mainstream media attack-dogs who had said some of these things?

Palin's 'nervousness' only showed us even more clearly how normal and human she is.

But she calmly and assertively made her case before 'the great Gibson' in spite of that nervousness. And, as the interviews wore on, she seemed to catch onto Gibson's game of intimidation and gradually lost her nervousness as time passed.

Perhaps Palin instinctively knew that Gibson was putting on display the perfect example of what conservatives have been saying about the mainstream media for over 40 years--that they are decidedly biased toward liberalism and detest conservatives--and that if she simply let him continue with his heavy-handed intimidation tactics, looking for one of those 'gotcha' moments, the American people would see up-close-and-personal just how thoroughly the mainstream media is 'in the tank for Obama' and is pulling out all the stops to smear Palin and get McCain defeated.

Gibson's behavior in the interview has already caught the attention of media specialists in colleges and politics. One in particular stated that the media is 'on thin ice' if it continues with these tactics, and that there is sure to be a backlash by the American people against such displays.

Obviously, some of these specialists, who themselves are liberals, are deathly afraid that the media may well blow it for Obama. Thus, they issue a warning.

But the media is clearly not blowing it for Obama. The truth is taking care of Obama all on its own. Charlatans are found out sooner or later.

Rather, the only thing the media has done is to show us that we cannot trust their slanted news stories and that Sarah Palin really is a normal human being 'just like us,' in spite of their attempts to ruin her.

Failure to Report Massive Crowds for McCain-Palin

Remember how the mainstream media went bonkers over the massive crowds that went to see rock-star wannabe Barack Obama early in the campaign? Remember their panoramic camera views of the crowds in Europe when their beloved Obamessiah spoke in Germany and Paris?

Interestingly but not surprisingly, now that John McCain and Sara Palin are attracting mega-crowds following the Republican National Convention, the mainstream media has ignored and failed to report the groundswell of grassroots attention being given to the GOP team.

When the mainstreams cover Palin and McCain, gone are the camera shots of throngs of people waiting in line and standing to see the pair.

Clearly, Couric, Gibson, Williams, Cooper, and company do not want the public to see these images. They want the images of Obama's crowds sticking in their minds.

Frankly, I wouldn't give these partisans the time of day if I were Sarah Palin or John McCain. Palin is doing an extensive interview with Gibson at ABC. I know politicians have to do the obligatory dog-and-pony show with these charlatans, but it is getting to the point to where enough is enough.

If Gibson and his colleagues in the mainstream media are going to openly fawn all over Obama, then if I were on the other side, I would tell him and the rest of the goons to go jump as I flipped them the bird.

Why give the enemy publicity by granting an interview? Why enable the careers of those who under the guise of being news reporters actually attempt to change public opinion and openly campaign for a political candidate?

It is really no wonder network news broadcasts are quickly going the way of the dinosaur. And the quicker they die the better the Republic will be. The public gets its news from plenty of other sources these days, and we are much better off for it.

"Peasants With Pitchforks' Uprising Against MSM

The mainstream media is reeling from the furor it has created over it's hate-filled bashing of GOP VP candidate Sarah Palin.

As John McCain and Sarah Palin took their post-convention campaign tour of several areas over the last few days, 'peasants with pitchforks' have greeted the reporters who are covering them with derision, shouting and pointing fingers at them, demanding that they 'be fair.'

Several MSM columnists have reported being stunned and even 'frightened' by the amount of negative attention readers have given to their smear campaign against Palin.

These idiots in the media don't have a clue.

They are so out of touch with mainstream America that they are shocked to discover the average voter in the vast American heartland views their punditry with disdain.

The reason is not far to find. Most of these elitist snobs don't know anybody in the heartland. Their friends and acquaintances, their social circle of fellow elitists, surround themselves with a mutual admiration society. They are so out of touch they actually believe their views are accepted by, well, everyone.

One columnist in particular stated that her column on Palin was viewed by 100 times her normal readership and that the vast majority were enraged that she would say such things about Palin.

She said was shocked by the attention and that the response 'frightened' her.

No greater example of the self-congratulatory snobbery of the MSM exists than the CBS gathering of its political correspondents covering the RNC on one of its morning shows this week. Katie Couric, Bob Schieffer, Jeff Greenfield, and others responded to the charge of negative coverage of Palin by claiming they had been 'totally fair.'

By who's standard? Who helped them arrive at their decision? Did an independent watchdog group come to this conclusion? Or did they simply get together and decide all on their own?

The idea that the CBS partisans arrived at their assessment with the help of an independent source is rolling-on-the-floor laughable.

Don't look now, Katie and Bob, but the millions of 'peasants with pitchforks' who are enraged at the tone of your coverage are watching you as never before. And they are demanding that you back off McCain-Palin and do some investigative digging on Obama's scandals--something you have refused to do.

MSM Reporters--Aroused, Gushing, Frothing

Have you noticed yet the difference between the manner in which the mainstream media reported the Democratic National Convention and the way they've handled the Republican National Convention?

This week during the RNC, Couric, Gibson, Williams, Cooper, Olbermann, and company have run hit-piece after hit-piece on the McCain ticket, particularly against Sarah Palin. The interviews they have conducted have been negative in tone, and their interviewees have been decidedly negative in their assessment of Palin.

During the Democrat's Convention last week, however, at one point I actually thought that the female reporters were sexually aroused as they covered Obama. I even thought the male reporters exhibited signs of arousal.

They gushed, frothed, giggled, laughed, clapped, cheered, and worshipped right along with the Democratic delegates.

I would be willing to bet money that had Katie Couric stood up, you would have found a wet spot in her seat. And had Chris Matthews stood up, you would have probably found he had a 'woodie.'

The entire lot of them had the appearance of being drunken with adoration of the Obamessiah.

These are not reporters. These are partisans who are working to get the Democrats elected. This is why, if the 'Fairness Doctrine' ever returns, we should DEMAND equal time on the major networks to respond to the blatant bias of their 'news reporters.'

The entire lot belongs in the dust-bin of journalistic failure.

Fred Thompson Fires Up GOP Base

Delivering the most rousing and moving speech of his political career, former U.S. Senator Fred Thompson, R-TN, hit a grand slam this evening at the Republican National Convention.

The speech, the gist of which was a personal testimony to the character and honor of John McCain, was the perfect example of why many of us supported Thompson for President early in the campaign.

This was classic Thompson. Logically and deliberatively, Thompson made the case for a McCain presidency with the step-by-step precision of a well-seasoned lawyer but with a passion that one only finds among those who sincerely believe in the message they are presenting.

Thompson vividly painted the scenario of McCain's capture and torture by Vietnamese Communists in such a manner that the entire arena fell silent. He spoke of McCain's refusal to give up information, only to be tortured all the more as a result.

Make no mistake, however. Thompson delivered plenty of barbs aimed at the Democrats who have chosen, in Thompson's words, 'the most inexperienced Presidential candidate in the history of the United States.'

He further stated that apparently the Dems think Obama is an excellent choice to serve side-by side with a Democratic-controlled Congress, which is 'the most unpopular Congress in history.'

The crowd loved it.

Thompson also took dead-aim at critics of Sarah Palin, denouncing the media's smear campaign against her, and lambasting the liberal Democrats' practice of late of going after her children, plastering their personal problems all over the news.

Yet not a single major news media outlet has investigated Barack Obama's direct connection to terrorist Bill Ayers.

The Thompson speech was precisely what the conservative faithful have been looking for. And I have a hunch that this is a fitting precursor and foreshadowing of what is to come tomorrow night from Sarah Palin herself.

Miracles Happen, But Not by the Obamessiah

A miraculous thing has occurred on the way to the planned and carefully orchestrated coronation of King Barack in the 2008 Presidential Election.

Despite the best-laid plans of mice, vermin, mainstream media news reporters, billionaire Leftists, and other characters of ill repute, the precious 'Savior of Mankind' is not gaining any ground in the polls.

Barack Obama got absolutely no bump in the polls resulting from his much-touted trip overseas.

This is in spite of wall-to-wall coverage by the mainstream media, the presence of all 3 major network news anchors, the worshipful adoration of throngs of zombies in Germany, and the attempt of the mainstream media to influence the election by covering the trip of a 2nd-rate junior politician as if it were an official visit by the President of the United States.

Despite Lara Logan and Katie Couric's rather hard-hitting interviews with Obama on the trip, make no mistake that the MSM is in the tank for the Illinois junior Senator.

The reporters had to appear hard-nosed in order to address widespread criticism that they were actively attempting to get Obama elected by slanting their news coverage.

Such criticism is entirely valid, no matter what questions Logan, Couric, and company asked.

John McCain got no such coverage when he made the same trip some time ago.

Yet, despite the goo-goo-gaa-gaa-O-Baa-Maas of the MSM, complete with their endless cheerleading for the 'candidate of hope and change,' Americans have apparently become very skeptical of what they're seeing and hearing night after night on the national news broadcasts.

Even after all we've seen and heard over the past week, John McCain is still within the margin of error of being tied with Obama in a composite average of all of the major polls. In fact, the latest major poll shows that the two are in a dead-heat.

But more importantly, McCain is picking up support in key areas with key demographic groups. He is pulling way ahead of Obama among the reliable over-55 voters, and he is gaining by leaps and bounds in the battleground states.

The miracle here, therefore, is that Obama is losing ground in spite of the media hype.

Wow, do you think he's really just a man after all?

Scandalous CBS Reporter Lands Obama Interview

Much has been made, and rightly so, of the fawning reporters of the mainstream media who are following in Barack Obama's train to the Middle East and Europe this week.

Katie, Charles, and Brian will all be there to give us a play-by-play.

But it is CBS that has scored first with a one-on-one interview with the Illinois Junior Senator.

And guess who was the CBS reporter who scored that first one-on-one interview.

None other than Lara Logan--the one who has been named as 'the other woman' in a divorce lawsuit brought by the wife of one of the men with whom Logan allegedly had an affair while serving as CBS's war correspondent in Iraq.

She is also reported to be pregnant with the man's child. Or at least she was, maybe.

Logan had disappeared from the air for several weeks after the story first made news. She had taken on a high profile after receiving a promotion to become CBS News' Chief Correspondent for 'Foreign Affairs,' often appearing along side of Katie Couric in the studio.

Yet when CBS News aired its segment Sunday evening of its much-touted 'first interview with Obama by a major network' while on the highly publicized trip abroad, the reporter who was on the scene doing the interview was none other than Lara Logan.

The irony of it all was almost too good to be true...the perfect example of fawning female mainstream media reporters following Obama around like a bunch of groupies.

Yet Logan did a fairly respectable job, pushing the Junior Senator to explain his plan for more troops in Afghanistan, possibly in Pakistan, and the potential for a greater and greatly expanded war.

In fact, she pushed him hard, and he refused to answer.

Many will no doubt claim that Obama deftly dodged any landmines set by Logan in the interview. But the fact is it was very obvious that he was stonewalling. He simply refused to answer questions concerning the potential for failure in a greater war in Afghanistan, and he certainly would not comment on Pakistan's probable failure in solving the problem of terrorist camps along its border with Afghanistan.

More likely than the fact that Obama was stonewalling is the distinct probability that he simply does not know the answers to the questions.

And it was very obvious.

This means, of course, that perhaps CBS made the right move in putting Logan in charge of the interview. Perhaps it's the first step in the network's redeeming its image in the wake of widespread criticism that it is 'in the tank' for Obama, and perhaps it's Logan's first step in putting a bad chapter behind her and moving onward toward becoming a serious news reporter.
