Poll Indicates Deep Trouble for Obama

The Gallup Organization is reporting trouble for Barack Obama which is not reflected in the day-by-day. up and down fluctuations of the daily tracking poll, according to CNS News Service.

According to Gallup, Obama's support among conservative Democrats has dropped 8 points to 63%.

Another troublesome trend is the fact that among liberal and moderate Republicans, support for Obama has dropped from 10% to 7%.

These numbers are significant when one considers that fully 37% of conservative Democrats do not support their Party's nominee and that fully 93% of liberal to moderate Republicans support John McCain.

The 2 key demographic groups are rarely mentioned in news headlines, but the trends observed within those groups are significant enough to raise serious questions about Obama's electability.

And if McCain nominates a running mate that is favored by Reagan conservatives, he is assured of a near-unanimous approval among evangelical Christians and other conservatives, which, along with Obama's falling approval numbers among the groups mentioned above, will spell major trouble for the Obama campaign.

ONLY 14% APPROVE OF CONGRESS

Washington, DC (TLS). According to the Gallup organization, never before in the history of polling data has the approval rating of Congress dipped so low. The dismal figure is a mere 14%...way below the approval rating of President Bush, which stands at about 29%.

This means that fully 86% of the American public disapproves of the manner in which the Democrat-controlled Congress is handling the affairs of the country.

DEMS CRASH AND BURN--APPROVAL RATE AT 29%

Washington, DC (TLS). In less than four months after assuming the majority status in Congress, Democrats are beginning to crash and burn in the court of public opinion. The latest Gallup poll shows that public approval of Congress has sunk to a stunning low of 29%.

Public approval of Congress is now below that of President George W. Bush, which stands at 33%.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons Speaker Nancy Pelosi has gone neanderthal in attempting to shut down the minority Party with a procedural rules change--the first of its kind since 1822.

Approval Rating of Congress Plunges

Washington, DC (TLS). Here is some interesting news for those of you who are politics and media watchers. The public's approval rating of Congress has plunged to a dismal 28% in a new Gallup poll.

According to the Gallup organization, apparently the public has quickly become just as disenchanted with the new Democrat Congress as it was with the old Republican Congress.

Following the November 2006 election cycle, the public seemed ready to give the Democrats the benefit of the doubt, as approval ratings for Congress rose in the polls.

However, a mere two months after the Democrats took control of Congress, the public's approval rating has plunged back to the low ebb it exhibited just prior to the November election.

Thus, the next time you hear the mainstream media gleefully report on the President's low approval rating, just remember that the public views Congress as even worse.
