IRS misses court-ordered deadline to turn over Lerner emails

The IRS missed a court ordered June 12, 2015 deadline for turning over emails pertaining to the scandal in which the agency illegally harassed conservative, Tea Party, pro-Israeli, and Christian groups. The tactics were designed to thwart the groups' attempts to attain tax exempt status prior to the 2012 election. But liberal or so-called progressive groups were placed on the fast track.
