The landslide victory of Sheriff Timothy B. Howard of Erie County,
N.Y. is a good indication, say gun rights activists, that Gov. Andrew
Cuomo's anti-gun SAFE Act is far from being accepted as law in the
state.
Howard refuses to enforce the SAFE Act, stating that
the law is unconstitutional and that his oath of office requires him,
first and foremost, to uphold the Constitution.
