Edward Snowden, the man who leaked secret information concerning a massive, covert program of government snooping on millions of citizens, has fled from public view. The level of support citizens express for the prosecution of Snowden is surprising.
Several news polls found that over 50 percent of those surveyed believe that Snowden should be charged with crimes for not only accessing top government secrets but disclosing them to the public.
And a Washington Post/Pew Research Poll found that 56 percent of Americans support routine government snooping into phone calls and other such surveillance methods.
