New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Sunday that his anti-gun group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, would launch a $12 million ad campaign to target senators in 13 states where gun control appears to have majority support among the citizens.
But in doing so, Bloomberg dropped a bombshell that only proves what conservatives and libertarians have been saying for years about progressives, liberals, and collectivists. The mayor declared, "I do think there are certain times we should infringe on your freedom."
Progressives hail such sentiments due to the inherent philosophy therein that supports the notion that government should be the central focus of all of the power in a society, planning, managing, and controlling human behavior down to the most minute detail.
