Word came from the Republican National Committee (RNC) today that the 2016 presidential campaign is already in high gear, albeit behind the scenes and out of public view.
The manner in which Americans go about choosing a president has necessitated a 24 hours per day, seven days per week cycle, 365 days out of the year, with little or no break after a national election. The reason for this turn of events is money. Barack Obama demonstrated in 2008 that with the right online and overseas strategy, some of which many believe is illegal, close to $1 billion can be raised for a campaign.
