Agents say 'DOJ is hanging ATF out to dry' in Fast and Furious

Agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) who post anonymously on their special complaint forum at CleanUpATF.org are claiming today that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is hanging the ATF out to dry in the Fast and Furious scandal.

At issue is the special congressional report released Monday by U.S. Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, and U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., that names five top ATF officials as perpetrators in the scandal but fails to mention top level DOJ officials who likely ordered the entire scheme.

In fairness to Grassley and Issa, however, only part one of the final report has been released. Two more sections are to be released shortly. The other two sections are expected to include officials in the DOJ due to the deep level of involvement of Attorney General Eric Holder in the scandal.
