For the first time in modern American history a sitting U.S. President has provoked a Constitutional crisis so critical that a federal appeals court felt it necessary to order a full explanation from the Obama Administration.
The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has ordered the Department of Justice to provide, in writing, a full explanation as to whether or not the DOJ believes that overturning unconstitutional laws passed by Congress is a legitimate role for the U.S. Supreme Court.
According to the court order, the DOJ must submit the explanation in no less than three pages, single spaced, by the deadline of noon tomorrow.
