Environmentalist tyranny--will Texas oil drilling survive?

The extremist 'environmentalist movement' has been the singular source of much of the tyranny perpetrated against the American people in the last half of the 20th century and the first decade of the 21st. Hamstrung by enviro-activists, farmers, land-owners, businesses that provide jobs, and other entities have been forced to live in an increasingly restrictive scenario where their very survival is at stake.
One of the latest examples of such outrageous attacks on liberty occurred just this week. Environmentalists in West Texas wish to designate a large sector of land used by oil companies as a 'protected habitat' for a species of lizard they wish to have placed on the endangered species list. By so doing, they will practically put the oil industry in West Texas out of business, and over 20,000 Texans will lose their jobs. These jobs include blue-collar workers on the rigs as well as supervisors and white collar workers in management.
