Second Amendment News Roundup for 3/12/2010

Focusing on guns, politics and news of interesting pertaining to firearms rights, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

Conservative Libertarian Outpost has a special alert from Gun Owners of America concerning the ObamaCare bill, which contains anti-gun provisions (you know, guns in homes are a 'public health' issue?).

Days of our Trailers opines on why the Brady Campaign has its shorts in a bunch and panties in a wad over the Starbucks gun issue.

Alphecca reports that the bill in Minnesota that would have closed the so-called 'gun show loophole' has failed.  Good!

Kurt Hofmann writes on gun safety regulations, Violence Policy Center style.

Say Uncle has the links to today's gun porn.

Tam presents her take on why the Department of Education is buying firearms.  OK, so she makes a good point.  I still want to know why all of a sudden SEVERAL federal agencies are buying up firearms for their employees.  It just seems over the top to me...unless they know something we don't.

Speaking of that issue, Robb Allen has THIS idea for the Department of Education.  I think I have an ever better idea, and this one is serious.  Why not just shut down the Department of Education.  We don't need it.  Education is a local issue, not federal.

Walls of the City has the latest example of the outright bigotry of the anti-gun newspaper Commercial Appeal.

The Ol' Broad has Friday's political cartoon.  Take a look for a chuckle.

I respectfully submit that anyone who thinks that this is "all of a sudden" has not been paying attention for the last twenty to thirty years or more.

As a certain merry band is fond of saying "Welcome to the party" y'all.

That 'anyone' who said it would be ME. Frankly, I don't care when they started it. It should not be.
