Republicans in the House attempted to block an effort by the Democratic leadership to move the ObamaCare bill forward using a parliamentary procedure known as 'the Slaughter rule,' which will allow the legislation to be approved without a vote.
The GOP attempt failed in a vote this afternoon, as Democrats seem determined to approve an unpopular bill using a sly cloaking device.
This conveniently gives cover to Democrats who do not wish to be on the record supporting the massive 2 trillion dollar program, given that their constituents back home are so livid they could tar and feather their elected reps.
Fox News reports the story.
