Latest on Late-Night Ram-Through

The Democrats (Progressive Marxists) are pulling another late-night ram-through vote, this time on healthcare.

Read the latest updates at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

Included is a video from a Congressman this evening on the steps of the Capitol. A shocking excerpt from the bill is also provided.

CHAOS IN THE HOUSE (UPDATES!)

Updated information can be found on the House debate on the government takeover of healthcare by clicking:

U.S. House Descends into Chaos (UPDATES!).

Time to get busy contacting your congress critters, folks! Do it NOW!

Jihadist Murderer Brought Derision on Himself!

In the aftermath of the mass murder at Fort Hood, much has been made in the state-run media (SRM) about the so-called 'fact' that shooter Hasan had been ridiculed and harangued by fellow soldiers because he is a Muslim.

Now the news has been revealed that he brought it all on himself!

Hasan was known for his overt proselytizing at the Walter Reed Army Hospital, where he was a... psychiatrist...ROFL!!

But now we know the extent to which Hasan would go to browbeat his fellow doctors and staff concerning religion. As it turns out, Hasan would speak of beheadings, scaldings, and 'going to hell' for those who refused to convert to Islam.

Now folks, if you had to put up with THAT day in and day out, I would say it would be quite reasonable to tell the man to buzz off (and that is putting it mildly) and resort to insults and the like because he refused to shut the hell up.

The Muslim Jihadist brought the derision on himself.

Liveblogging the House Debate on Healthcare

For those of you who wish to follow the debate in the House online rather than TV (plenty of football on today), you can.

Michelle Malkin is liveblogging the debate!

Take a look to get a good flavor of just how totalitarian your House has become under these enemies of liberty! But be sure to have your upchuck cup handy.

Time to MELT House Phone Lines!

ALERT! The U.S. House is trying desperately to shove government-run healthcare down our throats with back-room deal cutting and arm twisting.

YOU can make a difference by melting their phone lines with protest!

U.S. House Descends into Chaos

Trouble at the House of Representatives as the Democratic leadership desperately seeks the necessary votes to pass the healthcare bill they have proposed.

The story is at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

The problem isn't with the GOP, which opposes the measure by 1oo%, but with Democrats themselves who can't come to terms with controversial provisions of the bill.

Second Amendment News Roundup for 11/6/09

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

CNS reports that the great conservative, Mark Levin, stated that those Congressmen who want to force people to buy health insurance are saying, in effect, 'The Hell with the Constitution!'

David Codrea posts the must-read of the day on the questions the state-run media (SRM) are NOT asking about the Fort Hood shooter.

Pamela Geller reports the explosive news that the Fort Hood shooter had served on Barack Obama's Homeland Security Panel!! READ...IT...ALL!!

Kurt Hofmann writes, 'Fort Hood--When Our Defenders are Defenseless.'

Say Uncle reminds us of 'sudden Jihad syndrome' and its relevance to the shooting.

Vanderboegh provides a report from a threeper who was at the rally on the steps of Congress yesterday. Interesting!

Western Rifle Shooters Association posts essential reading on major systems disruptions. Do yourself a favor and read it.

Robb Allen has commentary, part of which I disagree with and part of which I agree. While it is true that the number of extremist Muslims is a minority of that religion, it is estimated that there are 100 million Jihadists within Islam. That is a BIG minority.

Jihad Watch, interestingly enough, reports that just last week Al Qaeda issued a general call for violence against any country in the the West that is involved in 'wars against Islam.' The call referred to violence against individuals within those countries as well, including blowing up trains, living compounds, and the like.

Around O-Town says it's time to 'ratchet up security.'

Conservative Libertarian Outpost sends out an urgent GOA alert concerning the anti-gun ObamaCare bill that will be voted on in the House, probably tomorrow.

Tam provides brief, snarky, right-to-the-point commentary on Fort Hood, guns, and Muslims.

Nicki weighs in on the subject with her characteristic, no holds barred commentary.

GunRights4US gives us a video that shows why an NBC affiliate referred to Obama's response to the Ft. Hood shooting as 'an awful moment.'

Meeting on the Green notes that Pelosi has reneged on her word that the HC bill would be available for 72 hours online before a vote.

Way Up North offers a most appropriate prayer for our soldiers and the families.

Walls of the City highlights the glaring omissions in the reports about the massive protest on the Capitol steps yesterday.

And now, as The Ol' Broad says, it's weasel time. Take a look, and have a good weekend.

Obama's 'Awful Moment' and Army Culpability

As more information rolls out concerning the Fort Hood shootings, there are 2 Examiner articles of interest:

Obama's 'Awful Moment' and Army Culpability in Shooting
An NBC affiliate is describing O's response to the shooting as an 'awful moment' indicating the President's insensitivity toward and detachment from the American people. And, given the perpetrator's many red flags, is the Army culpable in any way?

UPDATES! Shooter at Fort Hood a Muslim
This is a follow-up to yesterday's article about the shooter. Updates are at the end of the article.

Confirmed! Texas military shooter a Muslim convert

It has been confirmed that the military officer who opened fire, execution style, on fellow soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, was a Muslim convert.

The story is at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

Sources also state that the man was upset that he was being to deployed to Iraq.

Second Amendment News Roundup for 11/5/09

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

Notoriously Conservative has an excellent article showing how gays are going about it all wrong on the gay marriage thing. I agree. Gays lose the support of many heterosexuals like me because they claim they wish for government to 'leave them alone' yet push for government power. If we are going to be 'libertarian,' then that means keep the government out of our personal lives.

Brigid provides excellent reading as always, this one entitled, 'Into the Blue.' Take a look.

Meeting on the Green gives us an extremely important reminder. He who has eyes to see, let him see.

Armed Citizen posts an excellent primer on the enormous costs of public education, particularly since we started the dreaded U.S. Department of Education under Jimmy Carter. It should be abolished.

Kurt Hofmann has an absolute must-read on the war on the privacy of gun owners.

Vanderboegh informs us of something that should be of grave concern to most Americans!

Western Rifle Shooters Association has TWO vital pieces of reading today:
1. The great Karl Denninger interprets the actions of the Fed today.
2. A warning about 2011-2012 when the debt comes due...fasten your safety belts.

Texas Fred takes to task Kay Bailey Hutchison on her latest actions.

Walls of the City comments on the fact that more highly disturbing videos have emerged showing school children singing praise and worship songs to Barack Obama. LOOK AT THIS!!

From Days of our Trailers: the Henigan hypocrisy on guns.

David Codrea asks the question, 'Does the Padilla Shooting Mean Athletes Must Swear Off Guns?'

Tam
has an informative post on 'custom ARs.'

Ride Fast and Shoot Straight says that a new service called 'GunPal' is a good alternative to PayPal for gun owners.

Alphecca reports that Canada has taken an important first step toward restoring gun rights in that country.

And for a bit of Obama humor, a new blog I ran across (at least for the Roundup), An American Idiot, has a good one on Al Gore, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama on judgment day.

UNCONSCIONABLE!

The extremist U.S. Government, led by the Progressive Marxists of the Democratic Party, engaged in some outrageous activity today, in spite of the clear signal of disdain the citizens sent to them on Tuesday.

The full story is at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

Both the House and the Senate took part of these actions of individuals who obviously have no conscience, no integrity, and certainly no regard for the rule of law.

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

Mike McCarville says there is major trouble brewing for Valerie Jarrett, Obama's top advisor.

From GunRights4US: 'Barbara Boxer--All Alone.'

John Jacob H posts a new graphic that says, 'Obama lies, Granny dies.'

Nicki's been to New Orleans and has some pics to share with us.

The Newbius Papers says, 'Thanks for Nothing, GOP.'

Tam provides some snark regarding 'hope and change,' Chicago style.

Say Uncle points to an analysis on how gun rights activists fare with yesterday's elections.

David Codrea weighs in on what the votes mean for gun rights.

Roberta X also offers up her perspective.

Traction Control takes to task New York Republicans for the defeat of Doug Hoffman.

Snow Flakes in Hell reports some great news from Pennsylvania. 'The Bastard's Mayors Against Gun Rights' lost 16 members in that state alone in yesterday's elections.

Robb Allen has another good example of what happens when guns are outlawed.

Western Rifle Shooters Association posts today's must-read with, 'Unions, Lenin, and the American Way.' Read it all.

Armed and Safe has a good read entitled, 'Mindless in Milwaukee.'

Every Blade of Grass provides an informative tactical report, with photos, on the Remington 1100 Tac4.

Texas Fred comments on yesterday's 'big sweep.'

Conservative Libertarian Outpost informs us of an amicus brief filed in California concerning our rights. And he's right, any weakening of ONE of our protected rights weakens them ALL!

Yesterday's Vote--Trouble for Obama & Democrats

No matter which way you cut it, yesterday's vote in the various elections around the country spells big trouble for Obama and the Democrats.

And this is my topic of discussion today at Columbia Conservative Examiner--special early morning edition.

This morning I examine the broad ramifications for yesterday's vote. A major shift is occurring in the electorate which is only just beginning to express itself at the polls.

Ride Fast and Shoot Straight has a great post on 'open carry normalization.'

Breda supplies us with the info on tonight's edition of Gun Nuts Radio.

Sebastian reports that 1600 names PER DAY are added to the Feds' 'terror watch list.' Yet no one really knows how or why they wind up there.

Tam shares must-see video and commentary on a Hollywood idiot who wishes to lecture us about Rush Limbaugh.

From Codrea's Gun Rights Examiner: 'The Anti-Defamation League Defames by Innuendo.'

Vanderboegh relays a speech made at a gathering of Patriots. This is a MUST-read!

Western Rifle Shooters Association provides some graphics showing 'taxation, 2010-style,' and wonders if we are really ready for what's coming.

The Newbius Papers has a prediction about today's votes.

Pax Parabellum follows up to the previous link by saying that ACORN is helping Corzine steal the election in New Jersey.

Every Blade of Grass comments on the notion, 'It Can't Happen Here.' Famous last words.

Kurt Hofmann notes that the Brady campaign is against state sovereignty.

Alphecca reports that the good folk who support Open Carry up in Jackson, Michigan are having a food drive this weekend.

The great Oleg Volk presents his latest masterpiece to promote gun rights. And, of course, he always finds these gorgeous models to help in the cause!

The Rustmeister provides a very interesting news report from Vermont, which he entitles, 'Turnabout.'

Walls of the City says that Clayton Cramer, that valuable friend to the gun rights community, could use some help. Go take a look.

Key Elections Today a Referendum

Make no mistake about it the key elections today are a referendum on Obama, the Democrats, and, believe it or not, the GOP.

The GOP made a colossal mistake in New York state with the selection of a RINO as a candidate for Congress. Voters are indicating in polls that they are just as angry with the GOP as they are the Democrats.

Read all about it today at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

It should be a very interesting evening when the votes are counted...

The War on Guns has something today that you absolutely must see. And it is a clear warning. Get ready.

Codrea's Gun Rights Examiner takes a look at the issue of whether or not veteran's gun rights are being crushed.

Kurt Hofmann says that there are some rather interesting allies coming together in the international fight for gun rights.

Vanderboegh blasts the NRA over its support of the Leftwing 'Republican' DeDe Scozzafava, who withdrew from the Congressional race because she could get no support, and then proceeded to endorse the DEMOCRAT rather than the conservative candidate. No matter which way you cut it, the GOP AND the NRA look like bumbling imbeciles over this one! And I hope conservative, Douglas Hoffman, blasts the opposition away, teaching them ALL a lesson!

Western Rifle Shooters Association comments on the ominous development that CIT has gone bankrupt, even after a massive federal bailout. This is just the latest evidence that things are NOT 'getting better' as the O-administration and gubmint gurus want us to believe.

Conservative Libertarian Outpost sends out an urgent alert concerning yet another Obama 'czar' who hates liberty--this time at OSHA.

CNS reports news that confirms what I've been saying all along about the illegitimacy of recent elections--12 MILLION VOTERS are ineligible and another 3 MILLION on the voter rolls are DEAD.

Tam shows us how to tell if you are a gun blog nerd.

Way Up North has a 'real life Alaskan adventure.'

Brigid has made a major decision that she describes, as usual, in her own elegantly beautiful way.

Texas Fred presents the 'douchebag of the week' award, and I can't think of any more appropriate recipient. Take a look!

Standing By notes that ObamaCare is unconstitutional because the federal govt can't require citizens to purchase anything...

The Newbius Papers has good reading today entitled, 'Election Ponderings.'

Our friend Squeaks is now 2 weeks away from her wedding, and she gives us an update on what's happening with her life these days.

The Wandering Minstrel has a post and a video entitled, 'Shot Down Again.'

A 2nd Look at Term Limits

OK, I admit that as a Constitutional purist I have been reluctant to whole-heartedly support the concept of 'term limits' for Congress. I admit that under the present political circumstances I have changed my mind.

I explain this all today in my latest column at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

Senator Jim DeMint will introduce legislation in the near future that would implement term limits for Senators and Congressmen. Take a look for DeMint's proposal.

Another RINO Shows Her True Colors

Most of the readers of this blog keep up with political news. Thus, I don't have to tell you that the RINO--New York GOP Congressional candidate DeDe Scazzafava--dropped out of the race due to the lack of support and finances.

But the big news today is that the liberal Republican who had hoped to go to Washington threw her support behind the DEMOCRAT in the race, Bill Owens.

It may not matter, however.

The candidate that is way ahead so far in this race is conservative Douglas Hoffman.

Oh, and, by the way, the...ahem...'Republican' Scazzafava decided to support the Democrat Owens after consulting with the likes of 'Little Chucky' Schumer and Rahm 'Dead Fish' Emanuel.

Do we need any more evidence that supporting RINOS for 'strategic' reasons is sheer lunacy?

Geller: Limbaugh Transcripts from Fox News' Chris Wallace this Morning

In a stunning pronouncement that is sure to provoke even more paranoid conservative-bashing from a thin-skinned White House, Rush Limbaugh stated today on Fox News with Chris Wallace that 'Obama is a threat to liberty.'

Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs has posted the complete transcripts of the program for your reading pleasure.

I suggest you get over there and read it all!

WHITE HOUSE BROADENS ATTACKS ON MEDIA

In a troubling report issued by NewsBusters, the disclosure is made that the Obama White House has broadened its attacks on the news media.

What began as an all-out war on Fox News has spread to the Associated Press and any other organization that dares criticize Obama policies.

The White House even attacked Edmunds.com for failing to support Obama initiatives directed at the auto industry.

A pattern is developing that depicts a highly troubling mindset at the White House that assumes the entire country is somehow obligated to bow down to the edicts, pronouncements, and policy initiatives of this President.

According to the article:

The White House is on a slippery slope, here. What’s next? A re-edit of the NYT? Perhaps a vetting of the Nightly News? The Internet has certainly made it possible for anyone to become a media watchdog, but it is not the White House’s responsibility to be approving our news for us. Ever. There are a lot of things the White House should be policing, our media is not one of them. Ten Glenn Beck’s will always be preferable to a media comprised of all the news the White House sees fit to print.

Be sure to read the whole thing. It's an eye-opener.

McCarville: NYT Profile of Coburn Balanced

Mike McCarville is reporting that a special profile in the New York Times on conservative U.S. Senator Tom Coburn is surprisingly balanced.

Now THAT would be a first for the 'old gray lady'...at least in modern times.

Graham the RINO Strikes AGAIN!

Big news today on U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, R-SC.

Graham is involved in a heated controversy in South Carolina over his support for a moderate GOP-version of the 'cap and trade' energy tax scheme being pushed by Obama and the Democrats.

The complete story is at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

Radio and television ads are running throughout the state accusing the Senator of cozying up to liberal special interests (which is true). Graham and some strange bedfellows are hitting back with their own ads.

But wait until you see who Graham has crawled into bed with THIS time! It's much worse than you might think.
