No matter which way you cut it, yesterday's vote in the various elections around the country spells big trouble for Obama and the Democrats.

This morning I examine the broad ramifications for yesterday's vote. A major shift is occurring in the electorate which is only just beginning to express itself at the polls.

I don't care what party the candidates belong to, or how traditional it may be, whether Republican, Whig, Bull Moose, or the Know-Nothings. They will have a solid track record as a conservative, or they'll get no votes from us.
