In the United States Congress we can find some of the most rabid, anti-Israel partisans in the country, although they are often very discreet in their disdain for the Jewish nation.
But Yid with Lid has blown the whistle on them.
Congress passed a resolution supporting Israel's right to defend herself against the relentless Gaza attacks over the past few years. Yet some Congressmen voted 'No' to the resolution, and others voted simply 'Present.'
It is important to know who these people are. And a few are VERY surprising.
Needless to say, my respect for one of these Congressmen just took a nosedive.

It seems Israel rightfully doesn't give a damn what anybody thinks about her right to self-defense. She is going to exercise that right, regardless.
If it causes her to lose logistical support from the U.S. once Obama takes office, she will adapt.
That adaptation will not bring about the desired result. Israel has had enough. If she sees her military stores being depleted and we or other alleged supporters assure her they will not be replaced at any price, unless they willingly suffer more attacks with no reprisals, Israel will use her armaments to a devastating degree on every conceivable threat in the region. They will not stop waging war at the new promises of the muslim terror organizations, they will continue to fight until their opponents are killed and their organizations dismantled despite any humanitarian concerns for uninvolved muslims among which their enemies hide.
This will buy them time to find other sources of supply, destroy the alliance most western nations claim to share with Israel, destroy any influence we will have, and loose the dogs of war, either for a very long time, or until such time as Israel determines she cannot win. At this point she will go nuclear. The mideast will then be a peaceful place for thousands of years.
The one thing she will not do is lose. Her people really mean it when they say "never again".
It's a congressional resolution where we're telling Israel and Palestine (and Egypt) what to do. Ron Paul voted no because it's none of our government's business. It doesn't have anything to do with not liking Jews, and everything to do with obeying the Constitution. It's a shame that principles are so rare that we don't recognize them when we see them.
Anon,
It is the business of Congress and the American people to support our allies with whom we have signed defense treaties...that is Constitutional. We have one with Israel.
