Democrats Launch Petition Against Rush Limbaugh

Because he stated that he hopes Barack Obama fails in his attempt to make the U.S. a Socialist nation, Democrats in Congress are circulating a petition against Rush Limbaugh.

This is an unprecedented move by a political party against a private citizen.

Liberals are misrepresenting Limbaugh's statement, claiming that he simply wants Obama to fail for the heck of it. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The failure of the Democrats to state up-front and honestly why Rush wants Obama to fail is very telling.

Any patriotic American who cares about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, human liberty, and free enterprise wants Obama to fail. No one wants him to succeed except for those who want to topple American society from top to bottom, leaving our values on the ash-heap of human history.

I'd rather have Obamas version of Socialism than anything that Republicans have dumped on my country .

What planet do you live on? Who destroyed the economy with deregulation of mortgages, banks, brokerages? Who started a war of choice costing a $trillion$ and destroying untold numbers of lives?
Rush is the single most divisive, hate-mongering, egomaniac on the planet. Anyone who falls for this SOCIALISM BS should remember that all the bailouts began with W desperately trying to save his own butt with Cheney saying deficits don't matter--the war will pay for itself--we'll be greeted as liberators!
You're all a bunch of traitors and those who were against the Bush destruction of America were the patriots!
The world is in ruins but you all march in lockstep with Herr Limbaugh--recounting the Nazi idea that if you repeat a lie over and over people will believe it's true.
You'll find America is smarter than that.

Personally I petitioned with the reversal. I let them know that Free Speech is free speech. Let the man be... He can say what ever he wants, especially if they do not like it. I think they are twisting his words as well. He said he hopes that Obama "fails" because he does not want Obama's "solutions" in America. It makes sense and either side would say something similar. People are a little to naive/ignorant. Also, Obama supporters are really touchy!

To Jeff:

The democrats are the ones that pushed mortgage lenders to make loans to unqualified borrowers. I know as I've been a RE/MAX broker for over 25 years. In 2005 the Republicans, led by John McCain (not my favorite Republican by the way) introduced a bill and tried to put the brakes on those policies. The bill was killed in Committee as I remember. Up to the last second Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd mislead the American people and Congress by asserting that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were on "solid ground." While the republicans do share some responsibility the majority of the responsibility lies with the Democrats.

I'm personally at the point where I would like to see the USA split into two Regions. One could be the United Socialist States of America for folks like Jeff. The other could remain the Free States of America for folks who believe in the principles of limited Government and individual liberties that this country was founded upon.

"I'd rather have Obamas version of Socialism..."

Anon, that single phrase of yours says it all.

I see you've been drinking the kool-aid..

Jeff,

Terrorists started the war.

The economy was not destroyed by deregulation but by the mindset that ALL Americans should be given a mortgage on a home whether they can afford one or not. This started during the Clinton years.

Go back to drinking your kool-aid, bozo...

Ok, here is the way I see it. there are 320 million Americans, give or take a few.

There are 535 people in Congress. this isn't a fight they want to pick.

Just because I don't want to call jeff and anon stupid, as I have used up my quota of recognizing stupidity for today, I will say they are just too damn young to remember the Clinton administration where all of this crap started.

I will grant them this. Bush didn't improve anything. But he didn't draw the map that put us where we are.

I'm awaiting another quota of stupidity recongnition and may have more to say to jeff and anon when it arrives.

Oh, and Welshman, I bet they are too unaware to understand that to which "drinking the kool-aid" refers.

Bet?

SA, they haven't a freakin' clue about that or anything else, for that matter...
