Yeah, he was certainly slow getting this done, but at least it's done, and they'll be getting out of jail...

Not quite the right thing, Commuting the sentence isn't the same as a PARDON!

I'm sorry to say this, but GWB is simply a "bargainer". One of my favorite movies is "The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit". One scene has him described a "strictly a 'split the difference man'". In the fantasy of Hollywood that description was wrong, unfortunately our president was "strictly a split the difference man"/ He never took a "fuck you" stahd, this is the right thing to do.

I don't hate him. I would drink a beer he bought, but I( wouldn't buy him one back.

i don't quite get the support for these two. they shot an unarmed man in the back, then covered up evidence of their crime. if the guy they shot was such a threat and a criminal, why did they let him go after they shot him? they should be left in prison where they belong.

Ramos and Compean were just doing their jobs trying to protect our southern border from illegal aliens. They didn't know he was unarmed.

Plus, the man was a known drug smuggler working with the U.S. Dept. of Justice and the prosecutor's office in the area.

The whole case wreaks of illegal collusion between Mexico and certain U.S. officials. The 2 agents got caught in the crossfires.

And this is why so many in government and out of government demanded their release from prison.

Anon, go research the case. I am tired of talking to people with opinions but no reason. Educate yourself, don't wait for somebody to explain everything to you.

As anybody who has ever met me or read much of what I have written, knows I am not a fan of LEO's. I hold most in contempt, and for good damn reason. But I even I recognized the injustice of what happened to Campean and Ramos.

Which, in the long run, may be a good thing. It has got to make a bunch of badge heavy thugs rethink their position on foisting injustice on the public. It never hurts for them to have a reminder that they can be "hoist on their own petard"
