Clemson Wins, South Carolina Pummeled

First, the good news. The Clemson Tigers defeated the Duke Bluedevils by a score of 31-7 in Clemson's Death Valley.

This was Homecoming Day for Clemson, and the Tiger fans enjoyed watching their team win one for Homecoming. This brings Clemson's record on the season to 5-5.

Clemson travels to Charlottsville for next Saturday's game against Virginia.

Now, the bad news. The South Carolina Gamecocks were pummeled by the Florida Gators this afternoon by a final score of 56-6.

Carolina's top-ranked defense was no match for the unusually strong Gator offense, and the most the Gamecocks could manage was 2 field goals.

The loss brings Carolina's record to 7-4 on the season.

Next Saturday is an off day for the Gamecocks. Their season finale will be Saturday, November 29 against their cross-state rivals, the Clemson Tigers.

That game will be played in Clemson, the time to be announced.
