You Won't See THIS in the Headlines!

So it turns out Saddam Hussein had tons of uranium or 'yellow cake' which can be used to develop nuclear weapons.

Iraq sold 550 metric tons of the uranium to a Canadian company, and the U.S. government secretly conducted an operation to remove the yellow cake and deposit it in Canada.

But you will never hear or see this in a headline in the mainstream media.

This is despite the fact that Iraq supposedly had no 'weapons of mass destruction' or any of the materials from which to make them. And we all know that the story that Iraq had worked out a deal to buy yellow cake was supposedly 'fabricated' in order to give President Bush an 'excuse' to invade Iraq.

We have been told repeatedly that there was no yellow cake, that Saddam had long ago abandoned his plans to develop nuclear weapons after the Gulf War, and that any suggestion that Iraq had engaged in covert activity to procure yellow cake was a lie.

Well, that 'lie' is now sitting up in a Canadian harbor--all 550 metric tons of it--awaiting shipment to the company that bought the material in order to enhance Canada's development of nuclear energy.

Oh, and by the way, Canada is one of the countries that claimed the yellow cake in Iraq did not exist.

It seems that President Bush has proved his detractors to be the liars.

Read the rest of story HERE. (Hat tip to Traction Control).

Let's see, the yellow cake was tagged-and-bagged by UN inspectors in 1991, with none added since. All known and nothing missing.

So, yes, the accusations of ongoing yellow cake procurement in the run-up to 2003 were not based on the facts.

And, this "hidden" news about the recent transfer to Canada has been plastered and trumpeted in headlines all over print and Web.

The MSM was forced to mention it after Internet sources began running with the story, and even then it was never a top headline.

Hans Blix and Kofi Annan (not exactly the most trustworthy types) said the 550 metric tons of uranium were accounted for prior to 2003, but the story never said exactly when...1991 is a year pulled out of the hat rather than factual.

The fact remains that Saddam Hussein had enough yellow cake to become a major arsenal of nuclear weaponry in the world.

As good as this news is... it is almost completely overshadowed by Bush's refusal to talk it up... to both acknowledge and denounce the facts and the people who have thusfar been his achilles heel.

He has been a baffling human being over the last 2 or 3 years, that's for sure...
