Second Amendment News Roundup for 7/8/08

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

The War on Guns has the MUST-read of the day--a piece written by Mike Vanderboegh as he ruminates on various aspects of the Heller decision. David also has news out of Idaho including a brief word concerning Ryan Horsley.

Armed and Safe reports that Chicago politicians speak out of both sides of their mouths on the Second Amendment. Sort of reminds me of Barack 'I was against the 2nd Amendment before I was for it' Obama.

Alphecca has news concerning D.C. Mayor Fenty's attempt to do an end=run around the Supreme Court decision to strike down his gun ban, and he also reports that quite a few sharp words have been written in response to the latest antics of The Bastard.

Now, since voters fired the GOP Congress in 2006 even though approval numbers were significantly higher than at present, I will fully expect voters to boot Democrats out in the upcoming election. But hey, who said voters were rational? Do they even KNOW the Democrats control both houses of Congress?
