CBS News' Hot, Scandal-Ridden Reporter-Babe

Former swimsuit model and current CBS News reporter Lara Logan has apparently proved to be an embarrassment to a news organization that once took pride in its stature as a 'serious' source of current events.

News has exploded all over the tabloids and even some mainstream media sources that Logan began a series of sexual affairs with various men while serving as CBS News' war correspondent in Iraq.

Logan recently received a promotion from the network to serve as chief correspondent for 'foreign affairs,' interestingly enough, in Washington.

But, according to numerous sources, little did CBS know at the time that one of their rising stars would be implicated in a nasty divorce battle involving one of the men with whom she allegedly had an affair while the bombs flew in Baghdad.

Apparently the attractive young 37-year-old bombshell found Iraq to be the perfect assignment from which to latch onto the men of her choice while they away from their families back home.

Rumors had already surfaced concerning the reporter's sexual liaisons in Iraq when news came out of the blue that the attorney representing the wife of one of the men had named Logan as 'the other woman.'

In addition, it has also been widely reported that Logan is pregnant with the child of one of the men.

Interestingly, Logan has not been on the air on the CBS Evening News since the allegations concerning the pregnancy surfaced.

this is just another example of the media being sexist... a reporter gets hit up and... BAM!, she gets fired. I think that businesses like CBS should take a more proactive approach to women in the workforce.

Joel--I am not sure that Logan has been fired. The way I understand it, she has been removed from the air while the 'air clears' over the scandal and possible pregnancy.

Adam--I do not endore the views of the website you sent me to. Sounds like another scheme of Leftist environmentalist extremists to change our form of government since we are all obviously the evil ogres who are out to destroy the world.

Back on topic, in many ways I feel bad for Ms. Logan. She is a victim of sexism and her own beauty and sexuality. Had this been a male reporter, nothing would have been said in all likelihood.

But since Ms. Logan is a beautiful and attractive woman, it becomes front-page news. That to me is a shame.

I hope that in pointing out her plight that some attention can be called to the lingering sexism that still exits even within the most hallowed halls of liberalism--the mainstream news media.
