Dobson Blasts Obama on Bible, Constitution

Evangelical Christian leader Dr. James Dobson, the pediatrician whose radio program reaches millions of people across the nation, has taken to task Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama over his views on the Bible and the U.S. Constitution.

Dobson forwarded to the Press advanced copies of the remarks he plans to broadcast on Tuesday's edition of 'Focus on the Family.'

Of particular concern to Dobson are Obama's unorthodox views of scripture, which Dobson contends leads him to a faulty interpretation of the U.S. Constitution.

At issue are Obama's views on abortion and his rather curious statements on the teachings of Jesus and the dietary rules found in the Book of Leviticus in the Bible.

Perhaps Mr. Dobson needs to take the Jesus Test at http://www.sentforlife.com/jesus.html .

He will probably fail miserably.

Methinks Obama is the one with the Jesus problem. His 20-year membership in a church that preaches 'Liberation Theology' does not give him any authority with regard to the teachings of Jesus.

Liberation Theology is actually nothing more than Communist Revolution cloaked in religious terminology.

Dave, Here is the problem with your little Jesus Test. It removes one of the most basic principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, free agency. Liberals like to force others to compassion. Forcing is not Christs way. You may want to rethink your opinion.

You hit the nail on the head. The problem with Christian liberalism is that it applies the teachings of Jesus, which are primarily aimed at individuals, and applies them solely to government policy.

The net result is a Socialistic/Marxist form of government that forces compassion through taxation. In other words, rather than THE INDIVIDUAL freely choosing to give to the poor out of his/her compassion, the government steals the money from the citizens via taxation to implement large-scale programs.

Anyone with a mere cursory knowledge of scripture knows that this is far from what Jesus had in mind...
