Iran to Take Half of Iraq?

Washington, DC (TLS). The Liberty Sphere has learned of an ominous plan under consideration that would divide Iraq in half. Under the proposed plan, half the country would be given to Iran as a haven for terrorists.

This bombshell was dropped by Republican U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann of Minnesota.

You may remember Rep. Bachmann as the original sponsor of the 'Taxpayers' Bill of Rights,' the goal of which was to protect taxpayer interests and guard against needless tax increases. Bachmann was also the very first Republican woman to be elected to national office in the state of Minnesota. First elected in 2000, Bachmann has been one of the rising stars of the Republican Party. She represents Minnesota's 6th Congressional District and serves on the House Financial Services Committee.

Bachmann claims that a plan has been proposed whereby Iraq would be divided, giving half the country to Iran. This area would serve as a haven for terrorists where they would be given sanctuary, training, and financial support. Bachmann also fears that the sector would serve as a staging area for terrorist attacks in the Middle East and against the United States.

However, the details are fuzzy as to where the proposal came from and by whom. Bachmann had earlier suggested the plan was final. Later she backed away from her initial assessment and stated that this was a proposal on the table and was being considered by those within the U.S. government who are debating the future course of America in Iraq.

Bachmann has refused to grant interviews to the Media concerning her assertions.

This suggests to observers that perhaps the Congresswoman 'outed' certain members of the Bush Administration who are apparently ready to give away half the country to Iran in exchange for some semblance of victory in Iraq. Thus, the retraction and the subsequent silence.

The Liberty Sphere is in no way blaming Rep. Bachmann for this series of statements and retractions. Obviously Congressional Republicans are under immense pressure from the White House to 'get with the program,' and proponents of this ominous plan certainly would not want word of their agenda spread throughout the media.

Representative Bachmann actually did us all a favor by uncovering a covert plan that would essentially be a boon to terrorism not only in the Middle East but around the world. She should be congratulated for alerting the media, and the public, about this grossly ill-conceived notion of rewarding terrorists with a portion of Iraq in exchange for a partial victory in the rest of the country.

Such shenanigans may make the President look good, but the consequences would be disastrous.

The American public should in no way whatsoever lend their support to any plan that would reward terrorists or make their ultimate goal of world domination easier. As for me, I would consider Representative Bachmann as a true American patriot whose service in Washington comes at a time when their number is few and far between.
