Pro-Abortion Groups Hail Democrat Victory in November

Washington, DC (TLS). Monday marked the day that pro-life and pro-abortion forces would come to Washington in a yearly pilgrimage to call attention to Roe v. Wade. The pro-life forces, emboldened by the election of abortion supporters to control Congress, came out in full force, clearly re-energized for the fight against the senseless slaughter of the helpless.

Pro-abortion forces were also in Washington hailing their victory with the Democrats taking control of Congress. As you will see in the article below, pro-abortion forces clearly view the election of 2006 as a major victory for abortion-rights.

'Celebrating the 34th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, an abortion rights group claimed 2006 as an important step in keeping abortion legal in the United States.

'"Events in 2006 have altered the future political landscape for choice," said Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. "On November 7, Americans reaffirmed their commitment to a woman's right to choose by electing pro-choice candidates and defeating anti-choice ballot measures across the country."'
