Anti-Gun Crowd Bombards Washington

Washington, DC (TLS). With their usual tactics of claiming to 'crack down on gun dealers who send illegal guns onto the streets,' the Anti-Gun crowd has bombarded Washington over the past few days in hopes of pressuring their allies in the Democrat leadership to pass more stringent gun control measures. The usual suspects are among the throngs of gun control advocates crowding into Washington, including the infamous 'Brady Bunch,' that seeks essentially to ban all handguns.

The Brady Bunch and their comrades in the subversion of liberty have a powerful voice in Washington, especially now that the Democrats control Congress.

As The Liberty Sphere has constantly warned, this Congress is to be watched carefully, for it is all but certain that they will attempt to pass the most restrictive gun control legislation the nation has ever seen. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, John Edwards--all Democrat Presidential hopefuls, have dismal records on gun rights. In the Congress, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Conyers, and other Democrat leaders share in the desire of their Presidential hopefuls to rid the nation of firearms entirely.

Yet they cannot state this openly as the goal, or else they would risk defeat at the polls. Instead, their plan is to take away gun rights in increments, gradually passing laws here and there that over time will amount to outlawing the possession and bearing of firearms, in clear violation of the Constitution.

Most of you who read The Liberty Sphere on a regular basis are firmly in support of 2nd Amendment rights. This is the time to let your influence be known with your Representatives and Senators. The pressure on them at the present time by the anti-gun bigots is enormous.

Here is the complete story from CNS News:

'Gun control advocates want their Democratic allies to pass legislation targeting gun dealers who send illegal guns onto the streets.

'"Congress needs to give law enforcement the tools it needs to crack down on the prime suppliers of illegal guns -- rogue gun dealers who enable gun traffickers to conduct their deadly business," Paul Helmke, president of the Brady Center, said in a press release on Monday.

'It's a "new day in Washington," Helmke observed. "The flaws in federal law that protect corrupt gun dealers could be easily fixed if the new Congress embraces the public's interest and listens to the concerns of the nation's mayors."'
